The ingredients are great. The packaging is pretty too. However, the texture is quite thin for a cream - it's more like a soothing gel. Interestingly, you can see particles of centella and houttuynia cordata, but they don't feel gritty or irritating when applied. They absorb seamlessly, which is quite remarkable. This product claims to reduce skin temperature, and you can definitely feel a cooling sensation when applying it. The texture on the face is smooth yet rich, which is quite nice. Given that I haven't experienced any blemishes, it seems to suit my skin well. However, I'm not sure about its effectiveness in improving blackheads and whiteheads. It's also a bit oily, leaving a slightly greasy or sticky feeling. It might be too heavy for those with oily skin, especially in summer. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I find it a bit too rich for daily use in summer. Try using it as a sleeping pack - it works great that way. If your skin is dry or feeling hot, apply a slightly thicker layer before bed. You'll wake up with soft, supple skin the next morning. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 14, 2022
Not only does it provide great hydration, but it also has an immediate cooling effect that really soothes skin irritated from wearing masks. It claims to reduce blackheads and whiteheads, but I'm not sure if I noticed any difference in that regard. This product is so hydrating that it's perfect for mixing with foundation for a smoother application. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 3, 2022
⊙ Skin type: Blemish-prone, oily skin that requires sebum and pore management. Even after cleansing, the T-zone is particularly noticeable with prominent pores and blackheads, and oil tends to surface... sigh. ⊙ Price: The regular price is 28,000 won, but I purchased it for only 4,000 won, an 85% discount through Hwahae's time deal. Even if you buy it at a slightly discounted price or at full price, considering the cream is 70ml, it's not a small amount, so I think it's reasonably priced. + Even now that the time deal has ended, it's still on sale for 9,900 won! Great value for money. ⊙ Texture: It's not a thick cream texture, but a typical moisturizer consistency. You can see herb-like ingredients inside, and it has a herbal scent. At first, it applies lightly, but the finish is slightly oily. It absorbs really well if you apply it after light skincare, but if you layer it over heavier products, it tends to sit on top of the skin. So I apply it after a light toner or essence with a thin consistency. ⊙ Packaging: I like that it's in a tube rather than a jar, which makes it more hygienic to use. The design is also appealing. The pale beige color seems to match well with the font. + As I've gotten used to it, I find it even better. I was worried about breakouts due to the shea butter content, but fortunately, it's been fine. I would repurchase. ⊙ Ingredients could be better: I noticed it contains shea butter and alcohol. For oily skin, shea butter can potentially clog pores, and alcohol might irritate sensitive skin, which is disappointing. ⊙ Rich texture: The cream has a bit of richness to it, so if you have oily skin like me, you might feel a slight oiliness on your skin after a while. If you have very oily skin, you might find it feels heavy. ⊙ No noticeable effect on blackheads or whiteheads: I'll need to use it longer to be sure, but so far I haven't noticed any reduction in sebum production. ⊙ Interestingly, the container is made of aluminum, similar to ointment tubes from pharmacies. When you squeeze it with your hand, it leaves an indentation. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 8, 2022
- Container: The packaging might be polarizing, but I personally liked it. The tube design allowing you to squeeze out the product was unique and interesting. It seemed more advantageous for controlling the amount compared to pump or scoop-out products. - Packaging: It's clean and absolutely beautiful. Looks high-end. - Scent: Not overpowering, subtle, and inoffensive. - Ingredients: No notable red flags among the 20 caution ingredients or potential allergens. As someone with oily skin, I'm slightly concerned about the shea butter... but overall, the ingredient list is quite impressive. - Application: Applies smoothly. - Moisturizing effect: I definitely felt a calming effect! My skin became soft and I truly felt 'moisturized'. The next morning, my skin felt less greasy compared to when I use regular moisturizers or emulsions. - Skin temperature improvement: After the product fully absorbs, I noticed my skin temperature seemed to decrease. It's not a dramatic cooling sensation, but there's a noticeable reduction in skin warmth compared to before application. It seems to improve skin temperature issues while providing a soothing effect. - Residue: While it felt less greasy than other products in the morning, I didn't like the peculiar slippery residue it left behind. It feels stuffy. - Sebum control: Maybe due to the shea butter... I didn't notice much improvement in sebum production. Though my usage period of about a week might be too short to properly assess the product's effectiveness, I didn't observe any reduction in blackheads or sebum. If anything, it felt like my sebum production increased. I even got a breakout of blemishes around my temples. - Pores: Some people mentioned effects on pores... but I didn't notice anything significant. - Absorption: Perhaps due to its moisture barrier formation function, I found the slow absorption disappointing. Those with oily skin who experience sebum overload when trying to moisturize with creams... think carefully before purchasing! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 7, 2022
Skin Type: - I have combination dehydrated skin Product Texture: - It looks like it would be thick like toothpaste, but it's actually quite runny! Application: - It applies smoothly due to its thin consistency! Scent: - Smells a bit like a mix of herbs and menthol rub Before & After: - While there wasn't a dramatic change, interestingly, my skin didn't break out the next day after makeup as it usually does when I used this product before bed. Personal Experience: - Although the texture is thin, it still has a slightly tacky feel, so I wouldn't recommend using it before makeup! Best to use it in the evening or on makeup-free days! I was hoping it would reduce blackheads and whiteheads as claimed, but I didn't see much effect. And while I personally like the menthol rub scent, it still felt a bit off-putting. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 24, 2022
※For combination dehydrated/sensitive/acne-prone skin※ ※Used for about 8 days (morning/evening)※ ※Mixed with lighter products for oily skin※ @Fragrance@ The scent is absolutely delightful! I adore fresh leaf and flower scents, and this has a slightly herbal, natural leafy aroma. It's not artificial at all and not overpowering, so it's quite pleasant. @Texture@ Despite being a cream, it spreads surprisingly smoothly. There are some herbal bits inside, but they dissolve effortlessly without any grittiness. A little goes a long way, so the product lasts quite well! @Soothing/Skin Stabilizing@ While it's not a cooling product, so it doesn't instantly calm redness or rough skin, I noticed the next day that my redness had subsided and my dull, rough skin looked much smoother. My skin became noticeably more stable after using this. I was amazed at how well it calmed my rough skin even when mixed with other products. @Packaging@ Unlike some tube products that can burst when squeezed in a bag, this one is sturdy and durable. I used it comfortably while traveling, and the cap keeps things clean without product leakage. It's easy to control the amount dispensed, and the nozzle is well-designed for clean application every time! @Vegan/Price@ Although I didn't purchase it myself... vegan products tend to be quite pricey these days. However, considering the generous amount for under $30, it seems relatively affordable, and I'd be willing to buy it. ★★Oiliness/Blackheads★★ It's extremely greasy! I tried using it alone for the first two days, but it felt very oily and I couldn't really tell if it was absorbing. Even though I have oily skin and used only a small amount, my hair was sticking to my face and it felt very sticky and shiny... I think I saw something about it helping with blackhead removal, but I didn't notice any effect in that area either. @Calming Heat Irritation@ Since I didn't use the product cold, it didn't seem to calm my heat-irritated face. It actually seemed to work better on rough skin, but didn't do much for reducing heat sensation. @Mixing Tips@ One of my favorite methods is mixing it with a lighter cream or ampoule. It works particularly well when combined with products that have a cooling effect for better soothing. Even those with oily skin can use it this way without feeling overwhelmed! @Solo Use Followed by Exfoliating Toner or Water Cleanse@ While it might be fine for dry skin types, those with oily skin might find it too greasy when used alone. If you're using it by itself, tie your hair back and leave it on like a mask. Afterwards, use an exfoliating toner once or twice to remove the oily residue, then apply a light ampoule. If you don't use exfoliating toners, you can simply rinse off the excess oil with water and then apply your ampoule!
