I have skin type 23, dry and acne-prone. Dryness and diet (excessive sugar intake) are the main causes of my acne. I currently struggle with redness and brown spots (hyperpigmentation) from acne, and if I neglect my skincare, I develop stubborn, hard-to-extract acne. I purchased this cushion foundation when I was dealing with a lot of acne, looking for a good-quality product that I could use comfortably on my acne-prone skin. I bought the full set with the refill. During the usage period, I did not experience any new breakouts from this product, which was the best part for me. Even with a lot of active acne, this product was able to provide a clean, smooth application. It did not emphasize flakiness or lift when I applied skincare, cream, and a matte mineral sunscreen beforehand. However, it is not particularly hydrating. The pore coverage is quite good. Applying a small amount with the cushion puff and gently pressing it down helps to smooth over the pores without significant breakdown over time. The coverage for blemishes and spots is not as effective. The shade did not match my skin tone well, being too bright, which further reduced the coverage. I usually have skin tone 23, and I prefer a natural finish that doesn't lighten my original skin tone. Perhaps due to this, the product, despite being 23, felt too bright on me.
