It worked well even on sensitive skin, and the amount of product on the pad was just right. The pads are a bit thick, which reduces their adherence to the skin. They don't seem to hold as much essence as I expected. - ha*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedDec 15, 2023
I discovered this product through a vegan fair. It contains black tulip, hyaluronic acid, xylitol, and herbs like houttuynia cordata. While I can't pinpoint the exact scent, I personally love that it doesn't have any artificial fragrance typically found in cosmetics. It's non-irritating, has a pleasant aroma, and I like the pads. Plus, it's vegan! All these factors make me want to continue using it. I think I would have used it even more if it contained exfoliating ingredients like BHA or AHA, similar to chemical exfoliants. However, that's just a personal preference for toner pads, so it's not really an issue. The pads are gentle yet effectively textured, providing satisfactory physical exfoliation without irritation. - he*********Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 14, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I've used various toner pads like Cellmax Eraser Pads, Torriden Low Molecular Pads, Abib Heartleaf Pads, Botanic Heal boH Panthenol Pads, and COSRX Calming Pads. Here's my comparative review: Container: Clean, attractive design with an inner cover and tweezers included. I don't often use the tweezers, so that's not a big deal for me. Pads: The most crucial element. These are thicker compared to Botanic Heal boH or Torriden pads. The surface is smooth without embossing. The texture is soft and non-irritating, similar to using cotton pads for toner application. Essence amount: I prefer pads soaked in liquid, but these aren't drenched. The saturation level is similar to COSRX toner pads. Post-use feeling: It doesn't provide intense hydration, but true to its name, it balances oil and moisture. Suitable for skin prep as the first step in your routine. Current use: I don't reach for it when my skin feels very dry, but it's great for everyday, light use. I'm using it alongside other toner pads. Overall: Great for those seeking a reliable toner pad! If you feel your oil-moisture balance is off and you're not solely focused on hydration, you'll likely be satisfied with this product. While it's not meant for intense hydration, it's gentle and non-irritating. Can't think of any significant downsides. It's beneficial to follow up with a hydration-focused product after using these toner pads. - 1e******Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 13, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I love that it minimizes air exposure, ensuring hygienic use, and conveniently stores the pad-specific tweezers. Despite initial concerns about skin irritation from the pads, I felt no discomfort at all. The pads are incredibly soft and thick, and I used them smoothly without any lint formation. The generous amount of essence in each pad makes them perfect for use as a mask. The water-based formula leaves skin feeling clean and fresh without any stickiness, providing long-lasting hydration and a cooling effect. There's a subtle fragrance that's not to my liking. The hydration could be better. It seems more suitable for summer use. - oy*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 12, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The biggest advantage is that it can remove dead skin cells without irritation. Often, even products with good ingredients can have an unpleasant scent, but this one is quite neutral, making it suitable for anyone to use. These days, there are many ultra-thin pads on the market, but this one is on the thicker side. As a result, if you just apply it and it dries even a little, it doesn't adhere well and tends to lift, which is a bit disappointing. It might be better as an exfoliating toner rather than using it as a mask? - gu********Combination SkinNov 12, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It's tightly sealed to prevent essence evaporation, which makes opening and closing a bit of a hassle. The included tweezers? Used them once, then ditched them out of laziness. Now I just use my fingers! ✨ Application and Feel - At first glance, it looks soft, but since it's not an embossed side, it feels a bit tingly! But it's so mild that you can ignore it if you're not paying attention. Contains cooling ingredients that instantly eliminate heat upon application. As someone with naturally warm skin, I absolutely loved this aspect! It reduces heat on its own, but for a summer boost, pop it in the fridge for a double cooling effect! ✨ Hydration - It's not really a toner for deep hydration. Perfect for light summer use or ideal for those with oily skin! ✨ Essence Amount - There's enough essence to cover your face and neck! It's fine for now, but I worry it might dry out a bit later. I wish it was a tad more saturated. ✨ Scent - While not overwhelmingly bothersome, I kind of wish it was unscented. It has a fresh fragrance, but personally, I'm not a big fan. Overall, it seems like a decent product! Although I received this product for review, I wonder if it has enough merit to purchase at full price... I've always used toner products, but this one seems perfect for toner masking! Great for doing a toner mask while getting ready on busy mornings! Excellent for reducing skin heat before applying makeup! - hg*****Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 12, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Comparison was the quickest and surest way for me to express my opinion. Please understand! (I won't name other brands, as I didn't think they were particularly bad until I tried this one...) First and foremost, this is my favorite toner pad product so far. 1. The pad surface is soft, causing zero irritation. - Most pads I've used before had embossing or honeycomb patterns, but this one is incredibly smooth with no texture, so I felt no irritation at all. 2. It's the most hydrating among all the pads I've used. - Honestly, it's hard to feel fully moisturized from just a pad. Nevertheless, while 'moisturizing' might be an exaggeration, this pad kept my skin feeling hydrated. (Of course, I use essence and cream too, but after using this pad, my skin didn't feel immediately dry even after absorption.) 3. The pads are thick. - Thin pads can tear while wiping or make you overly cautious. With this product, I didn't have to be so careful, which was great. Some might prefer thinner pads for masking, but I wanted a real cleansing toner. Especially for someone like me who cares about skincare but is quite lazy, exfoliating toners were just too much hassle. And cheap cotton pads can ruin your skin! 4. It comes with tweezers. - This might seem obvious, but many products don't include built-in tweezers. 1. The built-in tweezers are flimsy. - It's surprisingly difficult to separate one pad at a time. That's about the only downside I can think of. - bo******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 12, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The cotton is so soft that even those with super sensitive skin can use it without worry! As for drawbacks, I can honestly say this is the only product I've used recently that doesn't have any! I use these pads for a quick swipe after my morning cleanse, and they're just fantastic. They're convenient, gentle on the skin, don't cause blemishes, and work wonders. It's such a relief to find a product that works so well! - pi********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 11, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It has a clip on top to hold the pads, which is fantastic!! The other pads I used before didn't have this, so it was inconvenient. It seems so hygienic and great. Also, it seems to have exfoliated well because my small blemishes have reduced! I wish I could show you before and after photos, but unfortunately, I don't have any. The biggest disappointment is that there's too little toner or essence on the pads, so they dry out quickly. This can make it more irritating to use. It's really a shame... If they were sufficiently soaked, it would easily be a 5-star product. Also, I'm not sure if this counts as a drawback, but it doesn't seem to have any effect on controlling sebum. I feel like my blackheads have actually increased...? (Though I'm not sure if I can blame the pads for this, as I haven't used many different types of pads before.) I think it's better to use these for exfoliating dead skin cells rather than for cooling down the skin! - ji*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedNov 11, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested. This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I have combination skin with an oily T-zone and dry U-zone. I'm prone to redness due to excess heat. My skin is oily but lacks hydration (combination dehydrated skin). Currently, the changing seasons are making my skin feel even drier, and the temperature fluctuations are causing more frequent redness. Toner pads are a staple in my daily skincare routine. Especially during seasonal transitions like now, I make sure to use them at least once a day. For this review, I temporarily stopped using my regular toner pads and exclusively used this product. The cooling effect is outstanding. It's amazing how cool it feels without even being stored in the refrigerator! This is the first time I've experienced such a noticeable cooling effect from toner pads. It's not the stinging alcohol-based cooling, but a soothing coolness that comes from the ingredients themselves. It was so refreshing on my cheeks that had been reddened from indoor heating and cold winds all day. This is definitely the product's best feature! On days when my redness was more severe, I would place one pad on each cheek for about 5 minutes, and it would calm the heat and reduce the redness. Highly recommended for those with redness or excess heat issues. The packaging allows for hygienic use. Surprisingly, not many brands of toner pads have an inner lid, but this one does. It's great for keeping the air out and storing the tweezers cleanly. It's hygienic and the product looks beautiful (unnecessarily so, but it makes my vanity look prettier). No blemishes occurred during use. I didn't experience any breakouts while using this product, and it doesn't have that typical cosmetic scent. Looking at the ingredients for this review, I'm impressed by how good and gentle they are. Even products with good ingredients often contain fragrances, but this one passes the fragrance test too. The toner itself is truly gentle and suited me well. However, due to the seasonal changes... there are some downsides that I'll mention below. It's effective for exfoliation and improving skin texture. Toner pads are generally good for smoothing skin texture, but this one also contains exfoliating ingredients and components that improve the skin barrier, which is even better. It allows for gentle exfoliation with mild ingredients, and the effects were good. The exfoliation was so effective that I even tried it on ingrown hairs with great results! Try using this product for aftercare when waxing or hair removal causes flaky skin. It works wonders! It gently exfoliates and smooths skin texture not just on the face, but also on the body. For the face, be sure to use it very gently to avoid irritation. The pads are made of pure cotton, making them less abrasive. There might be personal preferences between embossed pads and non-embossed ones. This product doesn't have embossing, but the pad itself is gentle, which I liked. It's not a cheap pad that feels scratchy or pills, so I felt less irritation on my skin from the pad itself. The gentle pad seems perfect for sensitive or delicate skin. However, I can't help but miss the embossing sometimes. The amount of toner is insufficient. When I first opened and used it, the pads weren't fully saturated with toner for a few days. I usually wipe my face once with a toner pad and then squeeze it to finish with extra moisture, but there wasn't enough toner for the pad to be squeezed. That was really disappointing. There's dryness and resulting irritation. Whether it's due to the lack of toner, insufficient ingredients, or the changing seasons, I felt a lot of dryness. I think it would be really dry for those with dry skin, and even I, with combination dehydrated skin, found it drying. The toner doesn't soak into the pad well, so by the time I finished one area and moved to another, it had dried out, causing irritation on the last area I wiped. I recommend storing the pads upside down. When stored upside down, the toner seems to soak into the pads better, making them more moist. It was stiff to use at first, but storing them this way made the toner absorb well. I recommend using them like this. I'd recommend these as summer pads. Honestly, I think they'd be great for summer. They seem to provide appropriate hydration for summer, and the cooling effect is a bonus. I'd probably buy these with my own money for summer use, but I wouldn't recommend them for seasonal transitions or winter (I have combination dehydrated skin). For seasonal changes and winter, I recommend them for light facial exfoliation or post-hair removal care on the body. They're good for gentle exfoliation. So, after using this product, I followed up with three layers of toner for extra hydration before continuing with my skincare routine. Note that using it alone might be too drying! The real game-changer was using it for ingrown hairs... that's a pro tip! I debated about the rating, but due to some disappointing aspects, I settled on 4 stars. While the product was a bit disappointing, I became interested in the brand due to their vegan certification, environmental consciousness (they even included instructions for disposing of empty products on the box), and consideration for users. Kudos to them!
