  I think it cleanses well... That's about the only advantage for me though.

  Initially, I was using this product with great satisfaction and no blemishes. However, halfway through, my eyes started to sting terribly. After washing, applying toner would cause severe pain around my eyes. Eventually, something like atopic dermatitis began to appear. I thought it was an issue with my makeup remover and changed it, but it turned out to be the cleansing foam. At first, everything was fine, but after using it for over a month, I wondered if this was a cosmetic allergy. My eyes hurt so much every time I used it that I ended up throwing the product away.

  Pros

  It cleanses well, effectively removing sebum and dead skin cells during face washing. I like that it leaves my skin feeling less dry afterwards.

  Despite claims of being gentle, it stings quite a bit around my eyes during cleansing. I'm not sure if it's as mild as they say.

  I've learned that it's not ideal to just rinse your face with water in the morning, as overnight our skin produces sebum, sheds dead skin cells, and collects dust. While searching for a gentle pH-balanced cleanser to remove these morning impurities, I discovered this fantastic vegan formula with great ingredients that doesn't irritate my skin. I'm absolutely loving it! After cleansing, my face doesn't feel stripped - it retains moisture and feels hydrated. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, this works perfectly for me. However, my mother feels it leaves a slight residue, making her skin feel less cleansed. Personally, I'm very satisfied with it.

  Cons

  The texture is thinner compared to other foam cleansers. Despite being a low pH cleanser, it lathers well and cleanses without irritation, which is great. However, if there's oil on your face or hands when you're trying to work up a lather, it doesn't foam as easily. Warning: if it accidentally gets in your eyes, it really stings! It feels like a burning sensation, no joke. Other foam cleansers don't sting this badly. As an adult, I was startled and quickly rinsed it out, but I imagine it would be even more shocking for children. You need to be extra careful to avoid getting it in your eyes.

  Tip

  This cleanser is perfect for washing your face without much irritation when you're not wearing makeup. I recommend making sure your hands are free of oils before use, as this helps it lather up nicely.

  To be honest, this was my first time trying a pH 5.5 foam cleanser... and it's fundamentally different from the cleansers I've used before. The consistency is really thin, but it cleanses so well and removes makeup effortlessly. I used to think that a squeaky-clean feeling was good and always removed my makeup that way, but with this pH 5.5 cleanser, my skin feels soft until the end. It made me realize, 'Ah, this is why we need to maintain a slightly acidic pH.'

  Cons

  So far, I haven't experienced any blemishes or negative effects. It's a bit runny, so even a small squeeze releases a lot of product - I think a pump dispenser might work better. Also, when it accidentally got into my eyes, I felt a slight tingling sensation for a moment. Although the ingredients seem gentle, it did sting my eyes a bit.

  I have super sensitive combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes. In my youth, my skin was an oil explosion, with pores clogging easily and causing breakouts. As I've aged, oil production has decreased, but I've developed deep dryness. Regular foam cleansers leave my skin feeling tight after washing, so I've been using low pH or enzyme powder cleansers. The Hwahae Testers' low pH foam cleanser, true to its nature, left minimal tightness after cleansing. It felt similar to my usual enzyme powder cleanser - moisturizing and soft (you can see the forehead glow in the 'after' photo, while the 'before' is quite oily). Unlike other foam cleansers, the texture isn't heavy like a cream, but more gel-like (see the first lion photo for reference). It also lathers well!

  Cons

  The scent was a bit off-putting. It smelled like candles? Not scented candles, but plain ones. Similar to a waxy smell? I suspect they might have intentionally omitted fragrance to avoid potential allergic reactions. Also, when I opened my eyes while cleansing to take a photo of the lather, it stung quite a bit. Caution is advised when using with children. These two minor drawbacks didn't affect my rating. The main reason I gave it three stars is that after using the Hwahae Testers cleanser morning and evening for 2-3 days (keeping all other skincare and makeup routines the same, just replacing my enzyme powder cleanser with this product), I developed small bumps and blemishes around my lower face. I suspect this might be due to insufficient removal of makeup residue after oil cleansing and following up with this foam cleanser. My usual makeup routine is just light sunscreen cushion and powder. After the breakout, I switched back to using this foam cleanser only in the morning and my usual enzyme powder at night. The blemishes disappeared after 2-3 days. Those with sensitive, blemish-prone skin like mine should take note. However, I would recommend this for those with less sensitive, dry skin types.

  I have combination skin that gets extremely dry during seasonal changes and winter, while in summer my T-zone gets super oily, leading to blemishes easily. This cleanser works well for my complex skin type. It lathers nicely even in your palm. The scent might be hit or miss for some, but I barely noticed it while washing. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean. Unlike some foam cleansers that make my skin feel tight and uncomfortable, this one cleanses gently, leaving my skin feeling soft and hydrated. Even with my dry skin, I only felt a slight tightness after washing, which is pretty good. Since it's summer, my T-zone is quite oily, but this cleanser leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean, effectively removing excess sebum. It also does a great job cleaning out blackheads and whiteheads around my nose area. I don't wear heavy makeup, so I can't speak to its makeup removal abilities, but it's great for daily cleansing of sunscreen and brightening moisturizer. I've been using it for a few days now without any skin irritation, and I'm happy with the ingredients too.

  First off, I'm a 40-year-old with super sensitive skin prone to occasional blemishes, large pores, and excess sebum! -Scent- It's nearly fragrance-free, but there's a subtle hint of something akin to baby powder. -Cleansing effectiveness- It transforms my oily skin into soft, supple skin with just one wash. While other low pH cleansers often leave a slippery feeling, this product leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh! -Ingredients- All ingredients are EWG green-grade, with a low pH of 5.5. It's vegan-certified with safe ingredients, making it gentle enough for pregnant women and children. ❤️ It's great that my whole family - myself, my 7 and 9-year-olds, and my husband - can all use it. It even contains centella asiatica extract and panthenol, which are great for blemishes ❤️ Instead of chemical surfactants, it uses naturally-derived surfactants! -It creates fine, dense foam with just a small amount ((Check out the video!!))   1. Gentle feel and great ingredients The soft foam feels wonderful as it smoothly envelops the skin. It gives the impression of less irritation when massaging the face! The ingredients are also skin-friendly, so my whole family uses it with peace of mind. I particularly like that it contains panthenol and Centella asiatica extract, which work well for my skin. I'm thrilled to find these in a cleanser! 2. No tightness after use After patting dry with a towel, there's no tightness - just a nice, moisturized feeling. It removes impurities effectively while leaving the skin hydrated! I have combination skin, so I used to worry about wrinkles forming around my cheeks and nasolabial folds due to tightness from harsh cleansers. With the Ipsom cleanser, I don't have that concern anymore. 3. Packaging design The packaging design is pleasantly minimalistic. I really appreciate the cap design, which allows for easy one-handed opening and closing.

  It stings quite a bit if it gets in your eyes... Be careful not to get it in your eyes when cleansing!! Also, it doesn't produce an abundance of foam. The amount of foam was sufficient for me, but this might be a drawback for those who prefer a rich lather.

  Tip

  For morning or daytime cleansing, the Ipsom cleanser alone is enough. However, if you're like me and prefer mineral sunscreens, make sure to double cleanse in the evening. It seems slightly inadequate to completely remove mineral sunscreen on its own... Finishing with Ipsom leaves the skin feeling comfortable and not tight!

  I love that all the ingredients in this product have an EWG green rating! Thanks to its excellent formulation, it's suitable for all skin types. (Free from harmful artificial fragrances and sulfates) The foam is so gentle! You can cleanse your face without any irritation. Being a low pH foam cleanser, I found the overall ingredient list to be much better compared to regular foam cleansers!
