What could be an advantage might turn into a disadvantage. It really doesn't lather up. I mean, it absolutely refuses to foam. It lathers so poorly (I've tried numerous shampoo bars over the years) that I gave up and went back to using my regular shampoo at home. While it's nice that it doesn't soften, the lack of lather means it doesn't clean well. After washing, my hair still smelled, so I had to wash it again on two separate occasions. So I'll probably use it for washing dolls or something, but not for my hair anymore.
