While many products with good ingredients often use artificial fragrances, this one has a subtle, natural basil scent, which is a plus. Though it's pricey, compared to other soaps with similar ingredients, it's not overly expensive. The soap doesn't soften quickly and produces a good lather for a long time. Due to concerns about environmental hormones, I've tried various no-poo methods and other shampoos. Before this soap, I was alternating between Dove Sensitive and soybean shampoo. This soap's cleansing power is far superior to Dove Sensitive - when I went back to Dove, I actually experienced blemishes on my scalp.
ConsAs you use the soap, it may develop cracks when it dries out, which might make you think it won't lather well. However, this doesn't actually affect its ability to produce a good lather.
TipIt feels refreshing and nice to massage the area where your neck connects to your head while shampooing.

These are the experiences of three people who diligently used and reviewed this product. It was my first time using a shampoo bar. My biggest concern before use was how to store it if it softened in water. The conclusion: no worries at all. Advantages: 1. It doesn't soften easily. 2. It lathers incredibly well. 3. True to its 'scaling bar' name, it controls scalp oil, leaving a clean feeling all day long. 4. Despite the rich lather, it doesn't deplete as quickly as expected. This justifies the price. 5. The scent might be polarizing. Personally, I like the natural fragrance. Those who prefer floral or sweet scents might not enjoy it. 6. Since my late 30s, my hair has thinned and volume decreased significantly. This sparked my interest in anti-hair loss shampoos, and I've tried almost all the popular brands. Prices ranged from $30 to $100 per liter. However, none were 100% satisfactory. Some even seemed to increase scalp sebum, leaving an oily smell after use - you can usually tell after about two uses. I seem to have a very sensitive scalp prone to quick pimple formation. But with this product, I've used it about 10 times over two weeks. While it leaves my scalp refreshed, I noticed my hair becoming stiff, so I alternated with another shampoo every third day. Still, its cleansing power is unparalleled. Notably, my middle school son's crown no longer smells; instead, it's fragrant.
ConsDrawbacks: 1. Fragrance: It might not be for everyone, but this is common with all products. 2. Unlike cleansing bars that can be used for gua sha, it would have been great if the scalp bar had bumps for scalp massage - a two-in-one benefit. I was tempted to use the shampoo bar on my face. 3. While it leaves the scalp refreshed and clean, it can make hair stiff. I had to apply hair essence afterward. 4. Honestly, I wish it were larger for the price, or that it was a bit cheaper. That's just my personal desire, but I hope there will be various promotions and good deals in the future.
TipFor those who don't like the fragrance but want to enjoy the product's benefits: First, use the scaling bar for a thorough cleanse, then follow up with your preferred scented shampoo. This way, the fragrance lasts longer. Alternatively, you can use a hair perfume. The bar creates a clean base, allowing fragrances to be released without any oily smell.

I really liked that it wasn't overpowering! Lather: At first, it was challenging to create a lather with the shampoo bar itself. However, when I thoroughly wet my hair and massaged it in, it lathered up nicely. Using a foaming net made it even more satisfying! Cleansing effectiveness: After rinsing with water, I felt refreshed. My scalp felt cool and thoroughly cleansed. I have an oily scalp, but it didn't feel greasy or weighed down afterwards.
ConsLather: Due to the nature of shampoo bars, it's not easy to create a lather! I used a foaming net to generate plenty of foam for easy use, but without it, the lather doesn't come out easily. Post-use: It's definitely better to use a conditioner along with this. After shampooing, my hair felt quite stiff, so using a conditioner seems essential. Texture: Given the characteristics of a shampoo bar, I think it might be a bit challenging to use on long hair. It's easy to use on short hair by rubbing it on the scalp, but it could be difficult to work through longer locks.
TipUsing it with a foaming net was fantastic!

Its unique teardrop shape, unlike traditional round soaps, gives it a cute appearance. This shape contributes to a satisfying grip and substantial feel when held. When lathered with water, it produces a rich, abundant foam. I rub it directly on my hair, and it lathers up just as well as many liquid shampoos. While it may not be as slick as silicone-containing commercial shampoos, it feels quite gentle and effectively removes oil buildup. Rinsing leaves hair feeling squeaky clean, as expected from a soap-based product. For hair longer than a short cut, you'll need to use a separate conditioner or treatment. I don't typically use multiple cleansing products, but one day I tried using this shampoo bar to wash my face while shampooing. Perhaps due to its high content of oils like olive and cocoa seed butter, it didn't leave my skin feeling particularly dry or tight. While my skin isn't extremely dry to begin with, the fact that it was gentle enough for facial use suggests it's certainly safe for the scalp. Since then, I've been using it for face washing as well.
ConsThe scent is somewhat ambiguous - maybe slightly herbal? There's a hint of seaweed-like aroma, which makes sense given the kelp powder in the ingredients. Those who prefer fragranced products might not be fans of this scent.
TipIn my experience, this soap bar works for both hair washing and facial cleansing. For those without sensitive skin, this single product could potentially replace both your shampoo and face wash, addressing two needs at once.

The lather is rich when you wet it well and use it with a soap net, giving a satisfying foam.
ConsSince it's a product used in the bathroom, it's a bit inconvenient because it's too small, making it easy to drop and difficult to store. Honestly, when compared to squeeze-bottle products, I probably wouldn't choose this one.
TipMake sure to use a soap net!

Personally, I found the scent reminiscent of musk. Since I enjoy such fragrances, I had no issues using it. Despite being a soap shampoo, it lathers up incredibly well!
ConsIf I had to point out one disappointing aspect, it's that the soap tends to soften when left in the bathroom for use.

Better than expected when wet, which is great for washing hair. - I trust it because it's eco-friendly. With my bleached hair, I usually use 3 pumps of regular shampoo. I worry about leaving residue on my scalp, but I use more because it doesn't seem to cleanse well enough. However, this product is said to be safe, and it lathers well, so I feel reassured even when using it multiple times. - There's a slight cooling sensation. After lathering and rinsing, my scalp feels somewhat cool and refreshed. - It's solid, not mushy. I was concerned it might get soft like soap since it's a bar, but it dries quickly after use and stays firm. Seems like it will last a long time. - Although it's said you can use the bar for scalp massage, I have scalp blemishes, so I just lathered with my hands. I was worried about irritation. - After bleaching my hair for so long, I can't really say things like 'It's so soft!' or 'It's so moisturizing!' after use. My hair is always straw-like due to damage. However, I want to keep using it because it seems better for my scalp and hair than regular shampoo.
ConsThe scent is disappointing. When I first opened the package, the smell was so strong I left it on the balcony for a day before using it. The fragrance is intense. It's like a natural woody scent, I guess? I didn't like the scent. My bathroom still has a strong natural smell. Fortunately, the scent doesn't linger after washing my hair.

As someone with hair loss, naturally thin hair, and seborrheic dermatitis, I'm pretty much the worst-case scenario. That's why I've tried every shampoo that's supposed to be good, and I'm very picky about ingredients. After using various products, I've set my criteria for a good shampoo: ingredients, cleansing effectiveness, and lather quality. First off, the Resolts shampoo bar lathers up nicely even with minimal rubbing. Some shampoo bars barely foam, leaving you wondering if you're actually washing your hair, but Resolts produces a satisfying lather. The cleansing power is also decent. Some shampoos can leave your hair feeling stiff, but Resolts cleanses while keeping your hair reasonably soft. The scent is like a mix of peppermint and Fucidin(?). I've been using it for a week, and judging by how slowly it's diminishing, it looks like it'll last quite a while.
ConsThe downside is that compared to my previous shampoos, my scalp gets slightly oily by the afternoon. It's not greasy enough to be bothersome, just a bit shiny. I think most people with oily scalps would be satisfied with it.
TipI recommend using a scalp brush after using the shampoo bar.

I've tried about two shampoo bars so far, but I'm not a big fan of them, so I haven't used them much. Here's my experience with the Ritual Scalp Scaling Shampoo Bar compared to others: 1. Compared to previous bars, it's significantly less drying. There's a slight tightness, but applying a hair essence before drying is enough for good hair care (just a touch of frizz). The bar is very firm and shaped perfectly for massaging behind the ears. It was a bit tricky to use in the shower with my short hair, trying to avoid skin contact. 2. While I'm cautious about skin contact due to frequent back acne, it seems okay so far. The scent is quite polarizing, but there's no lingering smell after washing. My scalp feels refreshingly cool post-wash, and notably, it doesn't get greasy as quickly as with other products - that's a huge plus! The photos show how well it lathers and how my hair looks after drying with just essence applied - no additional styling.
ConsUsing a shampoo bar for scalp massage can be challenging, especially when not in the shower. It's hard to reach all areas effectively when bending over, which limits its overall impact. The scent is really off-putting - it has this strong, salty sea smell that I absolutely can't stand.
TipI'm using this shampoo alternating with a treatment every few days to prevent excessive dryness. This routine has resulted in smoother, more manageable hair.

The shampoo bar lathers up beautifully with just a little rubbing, so it seems like it'll last longer than expected. After washing, my scalp felt much more refreshed compared to my usual shampoo, and the fragrance lingered pleasantly. The compact size makes it perfect for travel too!
ConsThe scent is quite strong - if you leave the bathroom door slightly open, the fragrance wafts all the way to the living room!
TipPro tip: Use it with a soap net for double the lather!
