  This is my summer essential. My face always feels hot and I have redness, so I use this especially well in summer. Also, when I've been in the sun a lot, applying this definitely speeds up recovery. I love how lightweight it feels on the skin.

  Cons

  I often apply it to my face when I feel hot, not necessarily as a mask. However, when it dries, there's definitely some pilling that occurs.

  Tip

  It's also quite effective at soothing mosquito bites or other insect bites. I just apply it to my cheeks before bed when I feel my face heating up.

  Pros

  I bought this because I heard it contains aloe vera leaf extract, and I'm so glad I did! My skin has regained its hydration. It's great to use as an aloe mask too. Everyone's been telling me my skin looks better since I started using this.

  Cons

  It's fine when you apply a normal amount, but if you put on too much, it can start to pill a bit later on.

  Pros

  Aloe gel packs are great for cooling down the skin. So I searched for one with good ingredients on Hwahae and immediately bought this large-sized Aromatica one. I remember using it well a few years ago, so I trusted and purchased it. The packaging seems to have been redesigned to look even cleaner than before!

  Cons

  It has that typical aloe gel issue of not absorbing well... If you just apply it with your hands, it ends up all over your pillow and bedding, and it makes your makeup pill. For daytime use, I'd recommend just using toner and emulsion instead.

  Tip

  If you soak a cotton pad with toner and this gel and place it on your skin, it really brings down your skin temperature! For those who have time, I highly recommend using it as a modeling mask too.

  I bought this after seeing it on YouTube, intending to use it as an aloe face mask. The results were just okay, but the amount was surprisingly generous. I ended up using it diligently on my arms and legs to finish it off.

  Be careful - if you apply more than three layers, it starts to pill like dead skin cells. Use sparingly!

  I bought this to mix with herbal oils for muscle pain massages. I purchased a 500ml bottle, and it came with 2x150ml and 2x50ml bottles as gratis. I've been using it for years now. The price-to-volume ratio is great, the ingredients are simple and gentle, and there's minimal pilling, making it perfect for mixing with herbal oils for massages. <Texture> It's a light gel with a slight viscosity, but it dries quickly and absorbs easily without much rubbing. Pilling rarely occurs, but it might if you apply too much friction. It's almost fragrance-free, and personally, I found it gentle with no skin irritation. <Hydration> As it's an aloe gel for cooling and soothing, it doesn't provide much hydration. It gives a momentary feeling of moisture when applied but dries quickly. <Pros> 1. Simple ingredients and gentle on the skin 2. Cooling and soothing effects 3. Good absorption and quick-drying formula for an aloe gel 4. Large volume, great for using liberally as a massage gel

  Cons

  <Cons> 1. Not entirely free from pilling 2. Lacks moisturizing power... While it's not designed for hydration, it would have been nice if it had at least the moisturizing power of a skin toner

  Pros

  I've been using this product from Costco for years after trying it once and loving it. It doesn't sting my eyes and causes no irritation. There's no sticky feeling either. However, it can be a bit drying on its own, so I apply camellia oil on top after using this.

  Cons

  If you apply too much before makeup, it can clump and cause pilling.

  Tip

  You can also use it as a mask by applying a thick layer over your essence.

  When I apply it, I feel an instant boost of hydration which is so refreshing. It seems great for cooling down and soothing skin that feels hot. When my skin is in good condition, it works wonders, but interestingly, I've noticed it can sting a bit when my skin is super sensitive. I'm not sure if it's just not suitable for me or what... So even though I used it regularly for a while, I've stopped using it recently as my skin has become more sensitive.

  Cons

  As mentioned above, I've heard that many people don't react well to aloe, so it's best to use it cautiously. Also, because of its quick-evaporating nature, if you only apply this, your skin might feel tight afterwards, almost like it's peeling off? To avoid this, it's probably best to use it alongside a rich moisturizer.

  Tip

  If aloe masks work well for you, definitely give this a try! Although I can't use aloe masks these days because they make my skin tingle, I've seen it work wonders for friends who can tolerate it. I used to feel how quickly it calmed my skin too... The photo below shows how it reduced the heat in my skin and soothed redness.

  I bought this aloe pack on Coupang after hearing it's great for masking. Using it at night seems to calm my blemishes and significantly reduces the burning sensation! I haven't experienced any skin irritation from this product. I'll definitely keep using it consistently throughout the summer.

  Cons

  It runs out quickly when used generously. While it works well at night, due to the nature of aloe, if you use it before makeup, it feels like it might cause pilling. So I mainly use it at night. To be honest, I don't think it has any major drawbacks.

  It's wonderfully hydrating. I bought it because of the positive reviews, and it's great for my facial atopic dryness.

  I won't be using this again. The pilling is terrible, and it has the worst clumping issue, just like aloe gel.
