So I usually use cleansing milk for my first cleanse, only switching to cleansing oil on days when I wear heavy makeup. This is my first time trying the Dokdo Cleansing Milk, and I'm really impressed! It's gentle and soft on my skin, causing no irritation at all. The pump dispenser is also very convenient to use!
ConsWith sunscreens that leave a white cast or high-coverage cushion foundations, I find there's often a lot of residue left behind. I end up having to wipe it off with a toner pad. I know they say it's not good to cleanse too thoroughly, but when I can visibly see product left on my skin, I can't help but keep wiping it away...

It seems particularly suitable for combination to oily skin types.
ConsI was disappointed by the slippery residue it left behind, and the cleansing effectiveness didn't seem very strong. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin.

This was my first time trying a cleansing milk, as I've been using only Bioderma micellar water for about 10 years. ✔️ Cleansing effectiveness It handles basic cleansing well. It removes eyeliner and mascara, though I use a lot, but it doesn't feel as thorough as micellar water. ✔️ Hydration Unlike micellar water, which can feel a bit harsh when wiping, this milk cleanser is definitely gentler. It's not heavy like an oil cleanser, so it leaves my skin feeling moisturized and nice! ✔️ Convenience I kept the Bioderma at home and this milk cleanser at my gym. It's convenient since you don't need cotton pads - just squeeze some out and massage it in. The pump dispenser works well and is hygienic! ✔️ Blemishes This is the most important factor for me. I stuck with Bioderma because changing products often led to breakouts, making me waste new products. So far, this cleanser hasn't caused any issues! It feels gentle. Overall, I'll probably stick with my micellar water, but if this cleanser continues to work without causing blemishes, I might use it on days when I'm too lazy to rinse off micellar water or when I've only worn sunscreen or light base makeup. It's rare for someone like me who's used the same product for years to switch, but I think I could use this Dokdo cleanser alongside my usual one! I'm happy to have discovered something new!
ConsCompared to micellar water, the cleansing power is somewhat lacking. Some mascara residue remains. Also, I'm not sure if I'm using it wrong, but towards the end of massaging, the milk seems to evaporate? It feels a bit dry, which worries me that it might irritate or damage my skin surface.
TipUse it generously!

I was worried about using oils due to potential blemishes, and water-based cleansers were inconvenient as they required cotton pads. This milk cleanser, however, feels like it cleanses smoothly!
ConsIt does leave some residue when removing mascara. While it might not feel as thoroughly cleansing as others, its gentleness makes up for it. Double cleansing is definitely necessary.

It's so gentle that there's almost no irritation on the skin. - I'm very satisfied as it doesn't aggravate my small blemishes. 2. Above-average makeup removal power - It thoroughly cleanses not only base makeup but also glitter and mascara. 3. The skin feels continuously moisturized during and after cleansing.
Cons1. There's a slight slippery residue after cleansing, so you need to follow up with a cleansing foam for a second cleanse. 2. Unlike cleansing oils or balms, it's difficult to visually confirm the makeup melting away. - Even when massaging, you only see the original white color of the cleansing milk. 3. It's tricky to determine the right amount to use and how long to massage. 4. It doesn't effectively remove long-lasting lip products.
Tip1. This would be great for cleansing when your skin is super sensitive. 2. I'd recommend this more for dry or combination dehydrated skin rather than oily skin types.

The feel on the skin is nice, and it definitely causes less dryness. It's also effective at cleansing. Since I don't wear heavy makeup, it removes sunscreen, cushion foundation, light eyeliner, and less pigmented lip tints quite well.
ConsHowever, I'm always a bit hesitant about cleansing milk products because no matter how well you rinse, there's always a residual feeling afterwards. This one isn't an exception - it does leave a slight film on the skin. Of course, this can vary from person to person!
