I've been using this product consistently since last year. Rather than feeling like it removes makeup effectively, it's more of a product that improves skin texture, addresses dryness, and tackles dead skin cells. I used to have severe flaking on my nose and forehead, but after using this product, it's disappeared. While it's not the most thorough cleanser on its own, it works perfectly as a second step after an oil cleanser for a double cleansing routine. - kt****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsJan 24, 2025
- Texture: Unlike typical cleansing foams that are thick and squeezed out, this has a light texture that comes in a pump bottle. - Pump: I received the pump when I bought it at the department store. The pump design is great because it keeps things clean - no cleanser buildup at the bottom of the cap or water pooling like with other cleansing foams. - Cleansing effectiveness: The cleansing power was decent, nothing extraordinary. - Lather: Despite being a liquid formula, it lathers up quite well, which I appreciated. - Scent: While I enjoyed Aesop's aromatic fragrance in their hand cream, it was too strong for a cleanser that directly touches the face. I wasn't a fan of this aspect. (However, I should note that the fragrance hasn't caused any blemishes or irritation so far!) - Price: Being a department store brand, it's on the pricier side... I won't be repurchasing. - su**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinInner DrynessRecommendedSep 11, 2024
I've been repurchasing this product for over four years because I love both the scent and how it feels when cleansing It's a shame it's so expensive, I can only afford to buy it duty-free - ek*******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsJul 30, 2024
It lathers up well and leaves my face feeling soft after cleansing. I love that the scent isn't artificial. The price is quite high for the amount you get. I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't feel it was exceptional enough to justify the cost. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesRecommendedApr 25, 2024
It's gentle, making it perfect for morning use. I also recommend it as part of a double cleanse routine in the evening. Apart from the high price, I can't really find any downsides to this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsApr 23, 2024
The fragrance is pleasant. That's really the only good thing about it. I can't say I notice any other benefits. I'm not sure about the ingredients. It doesn't agree with my skin at all. I don't plan on using it anymore. - pb******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 24, 2023
✓ The liquid texture prevents dead skin cells from pilling when applied with hands ✓ Perfect morning cleanser for combination dehydrated skin during seasonal changes Effectively removes excess oil that accumulates overnight ✓ Emits a luxurious fragrance reminiscent of a 5-star Thai hotel spa ✓ Comes in a sturdy glass bottle, similar to popular reusable water bottles While uncertain about its future use, the empty container could be traded secondhand Oh no! I realized... The pump is only provided once when purchasing the cleanser in-store ✓ No pump included with online purchases! Not sold separately in-store either! ✓ Very stingy with providing pumps and samples Can't even get a pump that costs less than $1 for this $70 cleanser ✓ The cleansing effectiveness is practically non-existent - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 18, 2023
The pleasant scent made me feel like I was unwinding and healing after a long day as I washed up It's quite pricey. The foam doesn't lather up well like a mild acidic gel cleanser. I'm not sure if the ingredients are actually mildly acidic as claimed. - je*******Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 6, 2023
Maybe it's because I'm such a fan of Aesop products, but I love this cleanser. It leaves my skin feeling moisturized after cleansing, with just the right amount of squeaky-clean feeling. The subtle fragrance is lovely, and the foam is gentle. I definitely recommend it! It's inconvenient to use without buying the pump separately, as you have to scoop the product out with your hands. - ke*******Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 15, 2023
The soothing aroma and glass bottle reflect Aesop's commitment to product quality and environmental consciousness. While the lather is moderate, those desiring a richer foam might need a mesh or foaming tool. It effectively removes most base makeup products. Although it cleanses gently, there's a slight deep dryness after washing. This means you need to follow up quickly with your skincare routine. I use a dedicated cleansing brush, but only for evening cleansing or after being outdoors. In the morning, I just use my hands. With the brush, it seems to remove most impurities and base makeup products in one go.
