I was pleasantly surprised by how much lather this produced! It actually foams up better than the original Scalp Sea Salt shampoo. It doesn't necessarily feel like it cleanses better than the Sea Salt version. Instead, the main sensation is a refreshing coolness on the scalp. - lo********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinApr 24, 2025
It's great for occasional use on oily scalps. Applying it once or twice a week to a heated crown or itchy scalp really cools things down and eliminates the itchiness. After about half a day, it starts to smell a bit and feels like it's making my hair greasy, so I stopped using it regularly. You need to be careful with how much you apply. - da********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 19, 2025
Reason for purchase: I noticed a significant increase in dandruff, so I bought this product. With my dyed hair, I could see dandruff on the parts that weren't fully colored every time I ran my fingers through it, which was really bothersome. Plus, the smell from my scalp... it was concerning. I also had some scalp heat issues. I didn't want to use anti-dandruff shampoo because it makes my hair too stiff. Since this product can be used before shampooing, I decided to give it a try! Review after use: First, you apply it directly to the scalp before shampooing and massage it in thoroughly with your fingers. It doesn't lather much, but you can feel it working due to its unique cooling sensation. The dandruff has significantly decreased, haha! As for the scalp odor... I'm not sure if there's been a change. Same goes for the scalp heat... hard to tell. But I'm quite satisfied with the reduction in dandruff! I no longer feel embarrassed or worried when running my fingers through my hair. Oh no... I wrote that it was good, but what about the ingredients? It's a shame the ingredients aren't as gentle as I'd hoped. - ha********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 17, 2024
After spending 30-40 million won on scalp treatments for exfoliation and hair loss over 9 months, I decided to find a more affordable self-care option. I tried every dead skin cell care product at Olive Young and online before settling on this one. Unlike other scalp scaling products that left itchiness or dead skin cells under my nails, this one works consistently without such issues. I've attempted to switch to cheaper alternatives about 10 times, but always come back to this. I've now used over 20 bottles! It's expensive... and the amount is so small that it's empty after 5-6 weeks... - ju*******Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRednessRecommendedNov 10, 2024
It effectively removes sebum buildup from the scalp and hair roots. Even when I shampoo thoroughly, I usually can't get rid of all the sebum particles stuck to my roots. But after using this scalp scaler, when I check my scalp with my fingers, I find no sebum particles left. The cleansing effectiveness is impressive. As I'm almost finished with this product, if I can't find a suitable alternative, I'll likely repurchase it. However, it's not the absolute perfect product for me. The texture is quite thick, similar to a concentrated ampoule, so you need to squeeze the tube with some force. However, it doesn't drip or run, which might be seen as an advantage for some users. I don't use it daily, but rather when I feel like there's a lot of sebum buildup on my scalp. - sj***Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 10, 2024
It feels refreshing and nice. There's a cooling sensation that seems to help control blemishes. It stings my eyes quite a bit, and it's difficult to control the amount. Also, it feels a bit pricey. - o_*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 19, 2024
Easy to open and close with a twist, and convenient to apply to the scalp. It feels refreshingly cool when massaging it into the scalp. The cooling sensation remains even after rinsing, which is great. Thanks to its effectiveness in managing dead skin cells on the scalp, my dandruff has significantly reduced. Sometimes it's difficult to dispense product when applying to the back of the head. Just when I think it's empty, it still comes out easily when applying to the crown. - rh********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 22, 2024
Although it's not a medication, with long-term use, it can even improve scalp inflammation and scalp heat. I've been using it for over a year. I finally escaped from the smelly scalp that had been bothering me since puberty, and my hair gets much less greasy now. As for the feel, it's not an irritating menthol sensation, but a truly healthy, cool feeling. The sensation diminishes as you get used to it, probably thanks to the healthier scalp. It's designed to be easily applied directly to the scalp. It's expensive compared to regular shampoo. You can usually only buy it online. When used daily, it can make your hair feel stiff. To prevent hair stiffness and use it daily, I've tried mixing it with other shampoos to create lather. This seems to be a good method. - wl******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 22, 2024
While it's not dramatically cooling, I feel like it has reduced dandruff I'm usually like a steel human, almost never experiencing allergies in my life. But every time I use this, it's itchy and stinging. I checked and found it contains a whopping 7 allergenic ingredients! - dp*****Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresOct 6, 2023
Skin type: Oily skin/Acne/Scars/Pores Pros: - I bought this thinking I had an itchy, seborrheic scalp! - It feels incredibly refreshing and I often reach for it when I want to thoroughly cleanse my scalp. - I definitely noticed its effectiveness. I used it 1-2 times a week. Cons: - I'm not sure if it's worth the price given the small amount. - Rather than using it to treat itchiness or seborrheic dermatitis, it might be better to use it preventatively!
