Being a stick format, it's convenient to apply with a quick swipe and it's hygienic too.
ConsIt stings my eyes, causing tears and slight redness when applied around the eye area. Initially, I noticed some red irritation under my eyes when applying. Over time, my skin seemed to adapt and I didn't experience any blemishes, but I won't repurchase due to the eye irritation. Also, it's quite rich and feels a bit sticky.

It was convenient to carry around and apply to dry areas as needed. Most importantly, despite my sensitive skin, I was pleased that it didn't cause any blemishes.
ConsBeing a high-concentration ampoule stick, there was a bit of stickiness until it fully absorbed. It's probably not suitable to use right before applying makeup. Since I knew it was more of a nighttime product due to its functional nature, I've been using it mainly in the evening or during the day, focusing on the neck area.
TipI think this would be great for those concerned about neck wrinkles, crow's feet, or smile lines. I bought it specifically for neck wrinkle care, so I've been generously applying it to my neck before bed, really slathering it on.

When applied before bed, you wake up with super soft skin! The container is small, making it perfect for travel or as a daily on-the-go essential!
ConsWhile I didn't experience any blemishes or issues, the formula is a bit rich. I wouldn't recommend it for those with extremely oily skin.
TipIf you need to apply makeup after using the stick or dislike the slippery feeling, give it some time to absorb. Then, gently pat or press your face with a tissue. This will remove excess oil while maintaining hydration!

The product itself is lightweight, making it highly portable. It absorbs well into the skin. For dry skin types, it provides excellent hydration. It's great for moisturizing dry areas around the mouth after brushing teeth. You can also apply it around the eyes instead of eye cream, gently patting to spread. I recommend using it as a neck cream alternative too. Rather than incorporating it into your main skincare routine, it's best used on areas that need extra moisture after your regular skincare steps.
ConsWhile it's a matter of personal preference, skin types other than dry may find it leaves a greasy feeling. It glides on smoothly without much pressure, but this means it gets used up quickly. Sometimes, if you apply too much pressure during use, it can clump up on the skin.
TipThe texture makes it a bit tricky to layer other products on top, so I recommend using it as a finishing step. While it provides good hydration, I wouldn't recommend it for pre-makeup moisturizing.

My skin type is dry. 1. I've been a fan of Missha's purple ampoule, so I was curious about the stick version. Surprisingly, I liked it even more than the serum! It's as hydrating as the purple ampoule but more convenient to carry around and apply to specific areas. 2. Lately, I've been concerned about eye and neck wrinkles. Some balms are either too soft or too hard for comfortable neck application, but this one has the perfect consistency. It melts into the skin smoothly, making it a joy to apply. 3. Unlike regular multi-balms that only provide hydration, this wrinkle balm is a two-in-one product. It offers both moisture and nourishment, allowing me to simplify my skincare routine. 4. For a balm, it's less rich than expected, and the subtle fragrance is lovely!
ConsI honestly can't think of any downsides! I'm a big fan of balm products in general, and this feels like a solid version of my beloved purple ampoule, so I'm extremely satisfied!
TipIt's fantastic for applying to dry cuticles on the go!

But let's get to the real talk. I was lucky enough to win this product on Hwahae and have been using it religiously every day. Here's my honest review: 1. Convenience The best part is undoubtedly its stick format, which makes it incredibly easy to use. When you're feeling lazy about applying eye cream, you can just swipe it on and you're done. It's so user-friendly! I even like to swipe it once on my neck, giving me that satisfying feeling of preventing neck wrinkles. 2. Gentleness This might vary from person to person, but it worked well for me. As I've gotten older, my skin has become more sensitive and picky, even reacting to water. My skin condition fluctuates depending on water quality, hormones, and diet. It's prone to blemishes whether it's too oily or too dry. At first application, I thought it might be too rich, but it turns out to have just the right balance of oil and moisture. It didn't cause any blemishes when I applied it. I used it on my eye area and neck, morning and night.
Cons1. Not suitable for use over makeup Understandably, it's tricky to apply anything over makeup. Personally, I find it a bit daunting to use this product on top of a full face of makeup. 2. The product is bulkier than expected I prefer smaller makeup pouches, so the thickness of this product is a bit cumbersome for carrying around. This is just my personal opinion though - if you have a larger makeup bag, it should be fine to take with you.

Some days it seems effective, other days not so much... Remember, good posture is just as important as hydration for wrinkle prevention!
ConsFeels overly slippery May cause pilling depending on other products used Lacks hydration, which is disappointing
TipPro tip: Apply with the stick, then gently spread it thinly with the back of your hand. This way, you can care for your hands too and reduce stickiness. It's best to apply this before bed and let it absorb overnight.

The stick format makes it incredibly portable and convenient to use. Depending on how you apply it, you can moisturize easily without getting your hands messy, which I consider a major advantage. While it's not yet the season where those without dry skin feel parched, when the weather turns cold, our skin tends to get extremely dry both indoors and outdoors. Deep dryness can be really troublesome. At home, you can apply something, but it's not so easy when you're out. That's when you can quickly swipe this on for an effortless solution to deep dryness. Currently, I use it more for adding a glow rather than skincare. While it's a matter of preference, I favor a dewy skin look, and it seems the Fall/Winter 2022 trend is leaning towards luminous base makeup. After applying a mineral sunscreen, I use the Missha Ampoule Balm Stick just around my eyes and between my brows for an instant dewy skin effect. When I use it for glow, I apply less than I would for skincare. Sometimes I dab it on with my fingertips. Used this way, I think it will last a really long time. If it weren't for masks, I would have lightly applied it on my nose bridge, tip of the nose, and cheekbones too - that's a shame. I prefer fragrance-free products, so I'm really pleased that this is unscented. It does have a mild, pleasant scent. It also has great absorption, gliding on smoothly. I've tried similar products before, but one was a bit stiff, which made it feel like it was dragging on my face when I applied it - I didn't like that at all. I'm a big fan of Missha, consistently repurchasing their First Treatment Essence and Bee Pollen Renew Ampoule. I was curious when Missha released a balm-type product a few months ago, so I'm really glad I got the chance to try it through this opportunity.
ConsI didn't have any issues with it. It's a shame I have to fill twenty characters even when there's nothing to complain about.
TipI also apply it lightly on my eyelids. I love how glossy it makes them look. For me, the Missha Ampoule Balm Stick is a product that can both care for wrinkles and enhance makeup simultaneously, which is why I'm so fond of it.

It's smaller and lighter than I expected, making it perfect to carry in your bag without feeling any extra weight. The convenience of being able to apply it with a quick swipe, without getting it on your hands, is definitely a plus for stick balms. Application/Scent: I was worried it might be sticky like other stick balms, as I remember using one before that felt like applying honey - so thick and sticky that I stopped using it after a few tries. However, this one applies much more lightly and smoothly than I expected, with no stickiness at all. The scent is a pleasant, subtle lemon-herbal fragrance. The purple ampoule in the middle of the product looks beautiful too! Longevity: I have oily skin, so balm-type products are usually too rich for my face. Since my neck tends to be dry, I applied it there before bed. The next morning, I could still feel the ampoule's moisturizing effect. This would be perfect for dry areas like the neck or feet in winter. If you've been disappointed by sticky stick balms before, this product might be worth trying!
ConsIt might be a bit heavy for those with oily skin to use on their face, given its balm texture.

First off, it's incredibly portable, making it perfect for travel or everyday use without any hassle. As someone who finds the evening skincare routine quite tedious, I loved how quickly and easily I could apply this and be done. While anti-aging products can often feel heavy, this one strikes a nice balance - it's moderately rich and hydrating. For my typically oily skin that's used to lightweight products, this provides that perfect middle ground I didn't know I needed. Surprisingly, it's also long-lasting despite daily use. With no major drawbacks and a user-friendly formula, I'd say this is an excellent choice for anyone looking to dip their toes into the world of ampoule balms or multi-balms.
ConsThe slightly larger diameter makes it a bit awkward to apply around the eyes or nasolabial folds. However, it's just the right size for those pesky neck wrinkles. It's a bit of a double-edged sword - both a drawback and an unavoidable aspect of the product design.
TipFor best results, apply this as the final step after your regular skincare routine - it glides on smoothly this way. Be cautious about applying it to dry skin, as the friction could potentially cause more wrinkles during application. Make sure your skin is well-hydrated first.
