I was even more satisfied with the finish - it's more moisturizing than sticky, leaving my skin feeling fresh and hydrated! Formula - Think of it as your typical lightweight moisturizer formula! Scent - It's fragrance-free, making it suitable for those with scent sensitivities. As someone who regularly uses moisturizers, I found this product quite satisfying! A small amount covers the entire face, and it's not overly oily. It keeps my skin hydrated without feeling greasy, which I really appreciate! Above all, it's free from potentially irritating ingredients and gentle enough for children to use. As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm really enjoying this mild emulsion!
ConsI was hoping for a cooling effect since it claims to reduce skin temperature with its cool and gentle feel, but it wasn't quite as cooling as I expected, which was a bit disappointing. Since my face tends to feel warm, I keep it in the refrigerator before use!

That's why I've been using it as my go-to summer body emulsion. The ingredients are good, and the scent is vaguely familiar, like something I've smelled before.
ConsIf you don't control the amount well, it can feel a bit sticky. The fragrance seems unnecessary. Also, the cooling effect isn't very noticeable unless you're in a cool environment when applying. Considering the price and cooling effect, I might be more inclined to reach for an aloe gel instead.
TipIt's best applied in a cool environment!

Due to its higher price point compared to other brands, it was challenging to win it through The Hwahae Testers program, but I finally got the chance to review it. Let me start with the conclusion: Atopalm Soothing Gel Emulsion gets a [Pass]. ✅ Packaging The package design is clean and simple. Unlike some products where it's hard to tell at a glance what they're for or what benefits they offer, this product's box and container design clearly show it's 'Atopalm' and an 'emulsion' without unnecessary frills or advertising. There's no worry about receiving a used and returned product. Both the box top and product opening have seals, and the bottom of the box needs to be cut to open. While some brands are skipping taping boxes or omitting inner seals in the name of environmental consciousness, I believe necessary packaging should be done. I was very satisfied with this aspect. But does this mean Atopalm doesn't consider the environment? Not at all. The box is made from FSC-certified recycled pulp, uses soy ink, and even includes instructions for proper recycling of the container. ✅ Texture When you think of a soothing gel, you might expect it to come out in clumps like aloe gel when squeezed. However, this product comes out in a straight line, making it easy to dispense just the right amount without waste. ✅ Scent It has a subtle scent similar to Madecassol. The fragrance isn't strong and becomes unscented when applied (it truly becomes scentless, not just a dull medicinal smell). Even those sensitive to fragrances can use it comfortably. ✅ Absorption When squeezed onto the back of your hand, it stays in its original form until you press it with your fingers or palm, then it immediately melts and becomes transparent. It absorbs quickly into the skin without sitting on top. The after-feel is similar to my favorite cream, By*** **Balm. The only drawback of that product was that it left skin too oily, making anything it touched greasy. The Atopalm Soothing Gel Emulsion, however, only coats your skin. It's neither too light nor too heavy (though those used to very light toners might find it slightly heavy due to the coating effect). It provides just the right amount of oil to coat hydrated skin. By adding the right amount of oil, it even reduces T-zone oiliness. ✅ Compatibility with makeup The biggest reason women avoid using creams is that 'it makes makeup slide off in the morning.' However, this product doesn't pill on the skin, nor does it cause makeup to slide off when applied immediately after. While oily creams can cause foundation to darken when mixed with oil, this product, despite feeling like an oil coating, doesn't cause foundation darkening. This was the second most satisfying aspect after the packaging. Why wouldn't you use a product that not only does its job well (hydrating and maintaining moisture) but also helps other products perform better?
ConsI haven't experienced any drawbacks yet. If I had to nitpick, I'd say I didn't feel the cooling effect it claimed to have. But the other aspects are so satisfying that it makes up for it! To be fair, it's difficult for products containing oil to provide a cooling effect. Additionally, I couldn't check if it negatively affects the small blemishes that typically appear around the chin during menstruation, as I wasn't on my cycle during the review period. I'll continue using it consistently until my next cycle and add to this review then :)
TipTrue to the 'Atopalm' name, the product satisfaction is high. I don't usually recommend purchases to others, but for those of you who are skincare nomads, I suggest trying this product and considering a purchase.

The quantity you get for the price is also quite reasonable.
ConsIt takes a long time to absorb, and the more you pat it in, the less it seems to absorb and starts to pill. Despite being a soothing cream, I can't really notice any cooling effect.

If you keep it in the fridge and use it, it feels really cool and nice. The soothing effect is truly excellent - it feels like applying aloe vera. This soothing gel lives up to its name. It's really great! Looking at the second photo, which is after application, can you see the clear difference? The hydration is incredible!
ConsI didn't experience any blemishes at all, and there wasn't really anything disappointing. If I had to nitpick, I'd say that while there is a cooling effect, it's not super pronounced. That's about the only minor drawback.

It provides good hydration.
ConsI couldn't really notice the cooling effect. This might vary from person to person, but as someone prone to redness and easily irritated skin, I felt a tingling sensation and my skin seemed quite irritated after application.

The ingredients are perfect for babies, and unlike typical soothing gels, it doesn't leave a sticky residue. The scent is minty after application! I can't tell if it made my house smell like a diffuser every time I used it... haha. A few days ago, my husband was struggling with a flushed, overheated face from working in the heat. I applied this to his face, and even though he usually dislikes emulsions, he was satisfied! I haven't used the product for long since receiving it, so I'll have to update my review as I use it more.
ConsEven though I'd like to keep it in the fridge and apply it cool, it only feels refreshing for a moment before heating up again... I wish the cooling effect lasted longer. That's disappointing. Also, the amount in one tube is small. I hope they'd make it a chubbier tube emulsion, even if it means increasing the price.

It feels almost oil-free, with a high moisture content that spreads easily and absorbs quickly, which I really liked. While I couldn't assess it on my normal skin due to contact dermatitis, I think it would have been a perfect summer emulsion for my usual combination dehydrated skin.
ConsIt didn't provide an immediate cooling effect or noticeably reduce skin temperature.

It cares for that heated feeling by cooling down your skin temperature with a refreshing hydration. It's unscented, so no worries for those sensitive to fragrances. While it's not particularly moisturizing, it's neither too runny nor too heavy, applying lightly and absorbing quickly. It seems great for both kids and adults to comfortably apply after washing up following a hot summer outing!
ConsIt doesn't seem to cause any blemishes yet! If I had to pick something, since it's a soothing emulsion, you don't get that cool, refreshing sensation.

I've been consistently applying Atopalm cream since my baby was a newborn. Whether it's the emulsion or cream, Atopalm doesn't cause any skin reactions! As expected, this product also doesn't cause any skin irritation! Regarding moisturizing power and absorption: As it's a soothing gel emulsion, it doesn't have the drawback of feeling stiff after drying like typical soothing gels. It applies smoothly and lightly!
ConsIt seems less moisturizing compared to the emulsion. The cooling effect doesn't seem very strong! So I tried storing it in the refrigerator before applying, and while it was cool, perhaps because it was refrigerated, it felt a bit sticky after application.
TipI think it's better to store at room temperature before applying! It has a lightweight texture that's great for frequent application throughout the day!
