I've tried various cleansing balms from Banila Co, but I decided to give this one a go as it seemed promising for brightening. Even for someone like me who gets extremely dry skin in winter, I didn't feel any tightness after cleansing. It didn't feel drastically different from their pink or green versions. However, this product had the best scent of them all. Thanks to that, every cleansing session felt a bit more refreshing and enjoyable. I'm definitely considering repurchasing. Nothing particularly negative to mention. If you're already a fan of Banila Co cleansers, you'll likely be satisfied with this one too. - oj******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 5, 2025
It absorbs so smoothly, and after cleansing, my skin doesn't feel dry at all. I love it so much that I'm already on my third bottle! The only downside is that if you lose the little spatula for scooping out the balm, you'll need to be extra careful about hygiene. - v5********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 17, 2024
It's my first time using a cleansing balm, and it really removes makeup well. Even after following up with a foaming cleanser, my skin doesn't feel dry or tight. Honestly, I can't think of any downsides... Even if I try to nitpick, nothing comes to mind! I found that using too much product makes it a bit tricky to emulsify. The amount that works best for me is about the size of a nickel, though it might vary depending on face size. - ch*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 31, 2024
I'm already on my third tub... This is truly my holy grail product, and I can't find a single flaw with it! While Banila Co's cleansing balm is already famous and needs no introduction, this brightening version has a delightfully fresh, tangerine-like scent that lifts my mood every time I use it. Let me share my method: After a basic cleanse, I pat my skin dry, then massage the balm for about 2 minutes. Next, I add a bit of water and continue massaging to emulsify it. This process makes blackheads disappear like magic! Just remember to follow up with your skincare routine, like applying an emulsion, to prevent the sebum in your pores from oxidizing and turning dark again. I wholeheartedly recommend this product and will definitely repurchase! Well... While the product itself is flawless, I found the included spatula a bit on the small side! At first, I diligently used it to scoop out the product, but eventually, I just started using my fingers. It would be absolutely perfect if they could make the spatula a tad larger! As I mentioned earlier... After a basic cleanse, pat your skin dry, then massage the balm for about 2 minutes. Next, add a bit of water and continue massaging to emulsify it. This process makes blackheads disappear like magic! Just remember to follow up with your skincare routine, like applying an emulsion, to prevent the sebum in your pores from oxidizing and turning dark again. - pe********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 22, 2024
I started with Banila Co's pink and green cleansing balms, which effectively removed even heavy makeup and left my skin feeling smoother. Then I tried the yellow one, which had the added benefit of brightening effects and a refreshing lemon scent. I've repurchased about 5 times and still have no complaints! As someone who wears makeup almost daily when going out, I've used cleansing balms consistently. While it didn't magically turn my skin white like in a drama, I definitely noticed my complexion becoming brighter. I have super sensitive skin that easily reddens with even slight irritation, but this product caused no irritation at all, making it suitable for daily use. It's truly one of my holy grail products! The only downside is that while the pink Banila Co cleansing balm comes in a larger size, the yellow one seems to be available only in a smaller size. Since I use it frequently, I quickly see the bottom of the jar. It would be great if they offered a larger size for this version too. When using the cleansing balm, make sure to massage it thoroughly on your face, then gradually add water to emulsify it. This process transformed my rough, bumpy skin into an incredibly smooth complexion! (The key here is to massage for at least 5 minutes) - jh******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 2, 2024
I've been using this product for about a year now, and I absolutely adore it! The fragrance is delightful, and its cleansing effectiveness is top-notch. It's become a staple in my routine. Unfortunately, it doesn't provide dramatic vitamin whitening effects. - in*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedJul 30, 2024
First off, I loved the scent. Some people mentioned the cleansing effectiveness wasn't great, but I think that's because the original version sets such a high bar. Personally, as someone who doesn't wear mascara or eyeliner, I found the cleansing power more than adequate! I really appreciated how gently and effectively it removed my makeup. After using up the entire bottle, I can't say I found any significant drawbacks. - pi*********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedJul 8, 2024
I loved that there was almost no irritation and my skin didn't feel tight after cleansing While I'm not an expert on cosmetics, I feel like it doesn't completely remove all makeup - as******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 16, 2024
2024.06.16. Sunday I think it has a citrusy scent. It removed foundation, lip color, eyebrow makeup, and sunscreen effectively. To be honest, it's just so-so compared to the buzz I've heard. It's okay, but I feel like it should perform better given its reputation. I recently tried the Manyo Factory oil cleanser (I believe it was the Pure version) - of course, that one's a balm type. In my opinion, I was really surprised by Manyo Factory's powerful cleansing effectiveness that even removed stubborn sunscreen. Banila Co's version is a bit underwhelming compared to its hype, but its cleansing effectiveness isn't bad. I only did simple makeup, so I couldn't test it on more dramatic looks. The price is a bit high for the amount you get, especially since there are many products out there with great performance. - eh******Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 16, 2024
I switched to this after finishing my previous cleansing balm, and I'm loving it! There's a subtle citrusy scent, and it feels much less slippery after rinsing. Though I've only been using it for a few days, my complexion seems brighter already. While it doesn't leave an intensely moisturized feeling, my skin feels fresh without any deep dryness. If I had to nitpick, the inner lid is a bit cumbersome for me, as I'm not a fan of those. But honestly, I have no complaints about its performance, fragrance, or cleansing effectiveness!
