  Pros

  I loved that it was more affordable compared to other brands! There wasn't anything particularly bothersome, and I really liked the texture - it felt nice and firm.

  Cons

  I bought this because I was concerned about my nose pores. From day one, I concentrated on applying it heavily just on my nose, which led to peeling. While this was due to my not following the proper usage instructions... the retinol ingredient is definitely potent. Even with my usual makeup routine, my skin looked red and appeared as if dead skin cells were constantly surfacing, and I felt a tingling sensation. Apparently, first-time users should use it every other day to allow for an adjustment period, but I clearly overestimated my skin's resilience... sigh.

  Tip

  I used to not apply anything before bed, but after starting with retinol, I heard it's best to provide ample hydration. So now, after using emulsion, moisturizer, and pore serum, I mix a tiny bit of retinol with either the moisturizer or pore serum and apply it only to problem areas! I think if you apply plenty of moisturizer before and after using retinol, you should be able to use it without any adverse effects!
