ProsAbsorbs well, feels refreshing, and isn't sticky. It's easy to remove with just foam cleanser.
ConsIf you apply it too close to your eyes, you'll be crying all day long. On the bright side, it's great for waking you up in the morning when you apply it!
TipBe careful not to apply it too close to your eye area...

ProsYou feel the cooling sensation of menthol as soon as you apply it! Among sunscreens, this one's refreshing and cooling effect is probably top-notch.
ConsI'm not sure if it instantly lowers skin temperature. The cooling sensation is strong and the scent is intense, so people might either love it or hate it.

ProsThe 'peppermint' ingredient makes it feel refreshingly cool when applied to the face, quickly reducing any heat sensation. It held up perfectly even during exercise! It's absolutely perfect as a sports sunscreen or golf sunscreen! It's cool, leaves no white cast, and has a moisturizing feel that made me want to keep reapplying it to my hot, dry face. The pleasant cooling effect of Menthology's unique formula instantly reduces skin temperature by up to 4.1 degrees Celsius on skin exposed to hot sun and UV rays. The trendy Menthology Cooling Sun Block, popular as a golf sunscreen, is an organic UV-blocking sunscreen made with more cabbage extract than purified water, leaving no white cast. I'll definitely be purchasing it again! I highly recommend this cool, refreshing sunscreen for those hot days.
ConsI tried hard to find something to criticize, but unfortunately couldn't find any downsides.

ProsI was worried about potential irritation from using cooling products in the scorching summer sun. However, I was pleasantly surprised that this product provided a slight cooling sensation without any irritation upon application. I've always disliked the oily feel and stiffness of traditional sunblocks, which led me to stick with creams and sticks. Fortunately, this product has less of that unpleasant texture. It absorbs well into the skin without any pilling. It's also great that this sunscreen comes with added functional benefits.
ConsWhile there's a slight warming sensation when applying, I wouldn't say it provides a true cooling effect.

ProsPerfect sun emulsion for summer use. The cooling effect seems to last about 3 hours when applied outdoors. The texture is like a lightweight emulsion, so I applied toner, then this, and did my makeup without any pilling or separation. It's ideal for reapplying over bare skin throughout the day. What I liked most was that even though I tend to exfoliate my face quite intensively, I was worried the menthol ingredient might make my skin more sensitive the next day, but that wasn't the case at all.
ConsFor those who experience eye irritation after applying sunscreen, and for those with super sensitive skin, I really don't recommend this. If you apply this sunscreen liberally like a moisturizer, the eye stinging can last quite a while, so you really need to avoid the eye area when applying.

ProsThe whitening and anti-wrinkle properties, along with the cooling effect, create high expectations for satisfaction when using this product. While it might be challenging to see results from the whitening and anti-wrinkle ingredients in just two weeks, the immediate cooling effect is quite pleasant. I also appreciate that it doesn't leave a white cast.
ConsAlthough the cooling effect is nice, it doesn't last long. As the afternoon approaches, my skin starts to feel oily. While individual skin types may vary, for me, a 20-something male with combination skin, it might be a bit heavy for use in the peak of summer. It could be more suitable for those with dry skin.
TipPeople with combination or oily skin may need to touch up with sun powder or sebum-controlling powder throughout the day to manage excess oil.

ProsI'm in my mid-30s with combination-dry, thin, fair skin. My husband, also mid-30s, has combination dehydrated skin. Keep this in mind for reference.
The cooling effect is perfect for summer outdoor use! That's what I thought. My husband went hiking yesterday, so I told him to take it. He said it felt great - didn't pill and was refreshingly cool. Men love that cooling effect, don't they? He said it was easy to apply on the back of his neck. (Now he's claiming it as his own, haha!)
Regarding ingredients, I once had sunscreen rejected in Hawaii and had to buy a new one locally. Since then, I learned about sunscreens' negative environmental impact. Now I always try to bring eco-friendly products when traveling. Thank you for considering the environment with this product!
For summer sunscreens, if it pills, it's useless. This one doesn't feel sticky, leaves no white cast, and applies thinly. Plus, it's cooling... That alone makes it excellent!
ConsThe scent:
There's a menthol or mint fragrance, which fits the product image perfectly, but personally, I prefer unscented products.
Compatibility with makeup:
It feels a bit lacking as a makeup base. When I applied sunscreen and then a light cushion compact for a natural makeup look, it felt nicely moisturizing.

ProsFirst off, I absolutely love the brand identity. The name 'Menthology' says it all - it's derived from menthol, extracted from peppermint. What's more, it's an eco-conscious, ethical brand. You can really feel that these products were created to soothe redness and calm heated skin when you use them. As someone with sensitive combination dehydrated skin that's prone to redness and constantly flushed, I've been a nomad trying various sunscreens from many brands. Mineral sunscreens worried me with their white cast, and over time, they left my skin feeling dry and cracked. Chemical sunscreens, while better for makeup and easier to apply, concerned me with their oiliness and potential eye irritation. I'm thrilled to have found Menthology! The application is fantastic - it glides on like a hydrating primer. After applying, your skin feels so cool it's as if you've applied ice to it. The heat dissipates noticeably. It doesn't interfere with makeup or cause it to separate. The best part is that the cooling peppermint menthol sensation lingers, leaving your skin feeling refreshingly moist. I was initially worried the menthol might be irritating, as I often break out from sunscreens, but I've had absolutely no issues. What impressed me most was how it doesn't become excessively oily over time! The effectiveness of this product makes me want to try other Menthology items. I plan to keep using and purchasing this, and I'm considering trying their other products as well.
ConsThe only downside is that the cooling sensation doesn't last as long as I'd like.

ProsFirst off, it's incredibly refreshing. I usually dislike the typical sunscreen scent and rarely apply sunscreen despite having a sun allergy. However, this one is completely odorless - perhaps masked by the menthol fragrance. It's absolutely fantastic! There's no white cast or pilling. It applies smoothly, almost like a serum texture.
ConsI don't have any real complaints, but I do wonder if the strong menthol scent and intense cooling effect might be too harsh for the skin. That's my only concern.

ProsHere's my review after using it for about two weeks. First off, the cooling effect is definitely noticeable. Rather than having a thick sunscreen texture, it has a light consistency that goes on smoothly. There's no white cast, so it should be great for those who don't like their skin looking pale!
ConsAs someone with super sensitive skin, I found the cooling effect gave it an alcohol-like scent, which felt a bit irritating on my skin. However, if you have oily skin or tend to experience facial heat, this might work well for you.
