Pros
This is the best wash-off pack. I've been using it for years and it's not a waste. The cooling sensation, mint fragrance, and granules are all great. It's the best!!!

Pros
This is a pack I always bring back when I go to Japan.! It was my first wash-off pack, and at first I didn't know how to use it properly, but the facial cooling was incredibly Hwahae, and it seemed to do a great job of clearing out the hardened sebum that was stuck on my face, so I was really happy with it.
Cons
The color doesn't appeal to me, and the residue from the pack sometimes clogs the sink, which I consider a drawback!
Tip
The sink was clogged, so I poured a liquid drain cleaner into it.

It is a mud pack formulation, but the application glides on smoothly and evenly. The cooling sensation is very strong, to the point where the skin feels cool. I've tried the headache remedy and the cooling sensation is definitely there. Unlike regular kaolin clay packs, you don't just apply it thinly. Instead, you slather it on thickly, almost like the official Lush Korea product, and then rinse it off after 10 minutes. It leaves your skin feeling moisturized, nourished, and delightfully soft.
Cons
It's quite tricky to apply properly. Unlike typical mask packs where you spread an appropriate amount evenly, the official instructions tell you to slather it on thickly, almost like pasting it on. If you apply it thinly, you'll end up with little clay crumbs falling all over your face. Since these are kaolin clay masks, you'd expect them to be good for pore and sebum management. But the recommended application time and method don't really align with that purpose. You could still use it like a regular clay pack, letting it dry completely, but the skin feel is noticeably better when you use the thick application and 10-minute method, even if it doesn't seem to control oil as effectively.
Tip
After using it just a few times over the course of about 2 weeks, the formula starts to dry out significantly. It's best to not try to reapply it little by little on your face. Instead, scoop out a dollop and apply it all at once on the back of your hand or somewhere else, then quickly close the jar to minimize air exposure.
