  I use this a lot when I don't want to wear makeup but feel shy about going bare-faced. It really makes a noticeable difference in my complexion when applied before makeup.

  Pros

  The way it absorbs is fantastic, just like an emulsion. It seems to cause almost no irritation. The brightening effect is also pleasantly moderate.

  Cons

  It pills terribly, like dead skin cells. The SPF is also too low. When trying to layer it, it pills so much that it becomes impractical. After using it once or twice, the pilling makes it feel unpleasant, so I end up not reaching for this product often.

  Naturally evens skin tone You can see the complexion come alive Compared to other brightening moisturizers, it has less pilling and absorbs better with a smooth application Not thick or heavy The photo shows clumping because I applied a lot to demonstrate, but it doesn't actually clump and provides a natural brightening effect There's a slight bit of residue

  Unfortunately, when used for long periods, it tends to pill like dead skin cells

  The natural brightening effect combined with sun protection is a plus! Although the SPF is on the lower side, it's perfect for quick trips out of the house. Just remember, a little goes a long way - too much and you might end up looking like a ghost! Moderation is key.

  Cons

  The price point isn't exactly budget-friendly. It tends to pill... especially around the hairline, so be extra careful when blending there. Not recommended for dry skin types! As someone with combination dehydrated skin, it's way too drying for me. My skin feels parched and flaky, even with a solid skincare routine underneath. It's like it has a magical ability to suck out all the moisture. While it might be worth trying once, I'm on the fence about repurchasing. Finding the perfect brightening moisturizer is proving to be quite a challenge.

  Pros

  I decided to try this product after hearing that actress Ji-a Lee uses it! As someone with a yellow undertone, I apply this brightening moisturizer as a base, followed by a pea-sized amount of BB cream. Even with this light makeup, my complexion looks radiant! The staying power is impressive, especially when layered over the brightening moisturizer. When I'm heading to the café down the street, a quick application makes me look like I naturally have fair skin!

  Cons

  If you don't let it absorb properly, it tends to pill a bit. No matter how much I blend it with my fingers, it always seems to gather around my nose bridge when I take off my mask, so I have to touch up with a puff.
