It brightens up my complexion beautifully. I also loved how it made my skin look dewy and radiant. The scent is quite strong. Much stronger than I expected. Also, it's a bit rich, so if you apply it right after your skincare routine, it pills. You need to apply it when your skin feels dry. Definitely not moisturizing! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedFeb 10, 2024
It absorbs well and gives a smooth skin finish. Great for wearing sunscreen alone! Unfortunately, it tends to pill when you apply foundation on top. It seems best suited for use on its own. - ba**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 16, 2023
This is my holy grail sunscreen. I have combination skin leaning towards dry, and I only use hybrid sunscreens. I can't use purely mineral sunscreens as they're too drying, and I've been using La Roche-Posay's Melt-In line for about a decade before switching to this. I go foundation-free and only apply sunscreen, and the skin finish is incredible. It feels a bit greasy when first applied, but when I check the mirror after arriving at work, my skin looks amazing. Since switching to this, I've received so many compliments on my skin! It's more hydrating than La Roche-Posay, so it might not work for those with oily skin. If you have dry skin, you absolutely must try this. The eye irritation is intense! I usually apply sunscreen generously, so when I first applied this as usual... oh my, the pain! It hurt so much, like something had gotten into my eyes. I couldn't even imagine it was because of the sunscreen. I almost went to the eye doctor. The severe eye irritation made me avoid it for a while, but the skin finish is so beautiful that now I carefully apply it, avoiding the eye area. Apply less around the eyes, and just 30 minutes after application, you'll get that perfect skin glow! Highly recommended for those with dry skin who prefer to go foundation-free. - ld*****Oily SkinAcne SkinAug 25, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It's small, so it's convenient to carry around. Some reviews mention it pills like dead skin, but I didn't experience that. It's just like a regular chemical sunscreen. It's too greasy and feels suffocating. I expected it to combine the benefits of both mineral and chemical sunscreens since it's called a 'hybrid', but it's just a regular chemical sunscreen. If you have oily skin, using this is like dropping an oil bomb on your face. - gi*******Oily SkinAcne SkinAug 23, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

For me, it was just another sunscreen. However, I will say that it did adhere well to my skin! And I didn't really notice any white cast! The rich texture is way too intense! While those with dry skin might find it suitable, for my oily complexion, it was a definite no-go. As soon as I applied a thin layer, my face looked incredibly greasy. It felt sticky and heavy, with a sheen that resembled cooking oil rather than a healthy glow! Absolutely not recommended for summer use! - sh*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 23, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

This absorbs well like an emulsion, without any tightness, so it's less irritating when applying to the skin. If you use a moderate amount, there's minimal white cast and it seems to maintain hydration. If you apply too much or layer it on, it tends to make your skin look overly shiny. I think those with dry skin would be able to use this product effectively. - mi******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 23, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The thin tube opening makes it easy to squeeze out. It doesn't pill when applying makeup, and it might be suitable for dry skin or when your skin feels rough in winter. The scent is typical of sunscreens, which is a bit disappointing. Those with oily skin might find it a bit greasy. Make sure your skincare products are well absorbed before applying this for the best results! - vh********Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 23, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Out of countless sunscreens I've tried, Bioderma's stands out as the best (definitely repurchasing!). No pilling issues. My nose is a hotbed for blackheads, whiteheads, and dead skin cells, usually causing makeup to pill. But when I apply this sunscreen and follow with cushion foundation (currently using Rom&nd), it doesn't pill at all. Makeup applies beautifully. As mentioned, when I use this sunscreen before my cushion, there's no pilling or emphasis on flaky skin. It makes my skin look flawless and improves makeup longevity. I barely need touch-ups. Absorbs well. The emulsion-cream texture makes it easy to spread. Though honestly, most modern sunscreens have lightweight formulas, so it's not exceptionally unique in this aspect. Convenient packaging. The narrow, elongated opening makes it super easy to control the amount dispensed. I personally love this feature. No white cast. While the sunscreen appears white initially, it blends in seamlessly without leaving any chalky residue. Summary: Great base for makeup, absorbs well, user-friendly packaging for easy dispensing, no white cast, and fragrance-free. While preferences may vary, those who prefer a matte finish, especially in hot weather when wearing masks, might find this product a bit lacking if used alone. It doesn't dry down to a completely powder-like finish, which some may find disappointing. All review content reflects my personal opinions and experiences. Results may vary from person to person. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 23, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I usually use mineral sunscreens, but this one spreads like a cream without any white cast, making it great for reapplication! I already use Bioderma body cream and know the ingredients suit me well, so I'm happy this product worked for me too. Sometimes I prefer to wear just sunscreen, so I actually like a slight white cast. It provides some tone correction and gives a matte finish, if that makes sense... But this is just my personal preference, so others might feel differently. - wl*******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 23, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I found the absorption of this product to be quite good. There was minimal white cast, which I personally prefer - though this may vary for others. Since the product claims to be water-resistant, it seemed to hold up well against sweat. I initially thought this was a hybrid sunscreen based on the promotional images, but looking at the top ingredients, it appears to be mostly organic filters. On areas where I tend to get oily, there was some noticeable shine.
