Pros
Since I have sensitive skin, I often get breakouts. Calming down the breakouts and dealing with the resulting pigmentation and redness was really stressful. I heard that vitamin C and retinol are good for pigmentation, so I tried them diligently, but I didn't really feel a big difference. Then I heard that niacinamide is also helpful, so I decided to give it a try, and I felt the effects much faster than with vitamin C!! 💙 Usage Experience After applying, there's a slight glow. There's a slightly sticky/tacky feeling that lingers. Over time, it feels a bit drying, so I apply a hydrating product like hyaluronic acid serum to add moisture back. It stung a bit when I first started using it!! But the stinging went away as I got used to it. The scent is hard to describe, but I personally didn't find it very pleasant. However, I don't really pay much attention to scents in skincare, so it wasn't an issue for me. 💙 Application I use it in both my morning and evening routines. After cleansing and drying my face, I apply the COSRX Skin Booster first, then the niacinamide, followed by other serums or a moisturizer to finish. 💙 Effectiveness I definitely felt like my pigmentation faded. The vitamin C and retinol weren't totally ineffective, but I felt they were more irritating to my skin. In comparison, the niacinamide didn't seem to irritate my skin as much. Of course, there was some stinging at first, but I don't feel that anymore. 💙 Overall I'll definitely repurchase this! I feel like my skin looks better, and even people around me have commented on how much better my skin looks. So it's not just my own perception!

The only downside is that the scent, while not overpowering, isn't particularly pleasant, and there's a slightly sticky/tacky feeling after application.
Tip
For those with dry skin, it might be a good idea to follow up with a moisturizer to add more hydration after using this. Keep an eye out for sales at Olive Young and Hwahae!
