I bought this after hearing it was similar to Jo Malone's basil product. If you ask if they're identical, I'd say they're quite alike. The scent isn't as deep as Jo Malone's, it's a bit shallower and slightly artificial, so I couldn't finish the whole bottle. As a body emulsion, it's the type that cleanses thoroughly, and the lather is more sparse than dense. I'd recommend this if you want to get a feel for the basil product before trying the original. The fragrance doesn't last long. The fragrance is lovely and long-lasting. It doesn't leave my skin feeling dry after showering. While I understand that fragrance ingredients are common, I was surprised to find out it also contains colorants. - ss*****Dry SkinApr 2, 2025
I'm not usually a fan of overly feminine scents, but this one is beautifully unisex and sophisticated - it's right up my alley. While some might say strong fragrances are a no-go, this product strikes a perfect balance between reason and personal allure. It's so good that I had to consciously hold myself back and give it only 3 stars. The price has gone up significantly since I last purchased it, which is disappointing. Moreover, fragranced products often contain questionable ingredients, so I don't understand why they added colorants on top of that.
