Even though it's winter, I have oily skin and don't like to overdo my skincare routine. So I usually apply my cream skin a few times like an essence, followed by an emulsion to finish my routine. But after winning this product, I now apply essence 2-3 times and then a small amount of emulsion. It feels silky smooth but absorbs well and provides great hydration. So far, using this product hasn't caused any blemishes on my face. As for the scent, it's almost fragrance-free to me. It doesn't affect the overall scent of my routine at all. It's not really a downside, but there's a slight warming sensation after application due to some ingredient - I'm not sure which one. If you dislike this feeling, you might want to avoid it. However, this warmth doesn't last long! Try using it like the '7-skin method'! In summer, you might not even need to apply emulsion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinNov 11, 2022
I discovered the Camellia Essence while dealing with numerous blemishes due to wearing masks! Absorption and application: Thumbs up! It's not a slightly thick formula, but rather a water-based one, so I applied it using a cotton pad. Overall, it absorbs well and applies smoothly. When applying, it feels adequately hydrating! I appreciated that it's fragrance-free. Although it was advertised as a firming product, the review deadline was too tight for me to truly assess its effectiveness for skin firmness. So disappointing! I think this should be used alongside a cream formula. Since it's water-based, there's a slight feeling of tightness after it absorbs. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 11, 2022
First off, I loved that it doesn't have any particular scent. This might be a personal preference, but I generally don't like artificial fragrances, so this was a plus for me. It has great 'absorbs' quality, gently adhering to the skin, and as someone with combination dehydrated skin, I found that it 'absorbs well' and quickly sinks into the skin. For an essence, the 'texture' isn't as bouncy as I'd like, which is a bit disappointing. However, I think some people might actually prefer this consistency. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 11, 2022
♥Scent♥ A subtle herbal or floral scent lingers. While it might be polarizing, I personally find natural fragrances quite agreeable. ♥Texture♥ It's lighter than an essence, more akin to a toner. Not quite watery, but has a slightly runny consistency. I've been using it like a skin toner since I recently had an MTS treatment, but it could work well as an exfoliating toner too. ♥Absorption♥ Probably due to its toner-like nature, it absorbs quickly. Once absorbed, it imparts a glow. Despite its runny texture, it gives a radiant finish like an essence. ♥Hydration♥ Moisturizing even with a single application. Unlike some toners that disappear instantly, this one leaves a lasting hydration after patting it in. I've been applying it 3 times both morning and evening for about 6 days, and the hydration seems to last. It stings if it gets in your eyes. Why does it burn slightly when it gets in the eyes? The ingredients are supposed to be gentle, so why does it irritate the eyes? Also, the packaging... You need to open the cap and pour it into your hand, but since it's closer to water than a runny consistency, it's prone to spilling. You need to be extra careful when using it. Apply 3 times in the morning and evening. Pat it in thoroughly. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinNov 11, 2022
The scent is nearly undetectable, and I love the packaging. I thought it would be slightly sticky since it's called an essence, but it actually has a water toner texture. Despite being a water toner, it doesn't feel too light, making it perfect for fall and winter use. I have combination dehydrated skin that gets suddenly dry and prone to blemishes during seasonal changes and winter. This toner, though water-based, doesn't feel excessively light. It absorbs well without sitting on the skin, and I appreciate that it doesn't leave my face feeling tight. It's also great for layering, so I applied it again after my initial application. Perhaps because it's an anti-aging product, I felt a tingling sensation when applying the essence to areas with blemishes. Given its completely water-like texture, I also find the price a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 11, 2022
The product has a thin consistency. The scent is very subtle, almost unnoticeable. Instead of purified water, it contains 83% camellia flower extract, which is said to be quickly absorbed into the skin, providing deep hydration. Although I haven't used it for long, I can feel the moisturizing effect right after application. It seems like it would be great for super sensitive skin too! It's quite runny, so using it with a cotton pad might be better. That's the only drawback I can think of. I recommend applying it with a cotton pad for better results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 11, 2022
This seems perfect for combination dehydrated skin! It's neither greasy nor drying, absorbs well, and isn't sticky at all. I've tried expensive brand regenerating creams before, but they didn't suit me and even caused blemishes instead of regenerating my skin. I decided to give this a try after checking the ingredients! Not only does it not cause blemishes, but I can actually see my skin regenerating. My skin is gradually becoming softer. I think I've finally found my regenerating line! Downsides? There aren't any! The amount is generous, and you don't need to apply much. I'm even tempted to use it all over my body! For me, after applying essence and then a light layer of this moisturizer, my basic skincare is done! I love that even in the afternoon, my skin doesn't get excessively oily. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 10, 2022
Texture and Scent: The formula is a water essence with a truly fluid, non-viscous consistency. It's fragrance-free, but rather than having absolutely no scent, it smells like the raw product without added perfumes. The natural scent isn't unpleasant at all. Absorption and Hydration: When applied, it feels like a water essence with a hint of oil, which isn't overwhelming for combination dehydrated skin. It's neither slippery nor heavy. The product absorbs incredibly quickly, so I'd recommend reapplying or following up with another skincare product immediately. While it may not provide enough hydration on its own for this season, it works great as a first essence. I also found that using it on a cotton pad as a pre-makeup step improved my foundation application. Those who prioritize fragrance should be aware that this product is unscented without added perfumes (especially if you prefer products with a typical 'cosmetic' scent). Also, I think it might not provide enough hydration for those with extremely dry skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 9, 2022
1. Fragrance-free While this may vary from person to person, I consider it a plus. I thought it might have a scent due to the camellia extract, but surprisingly, it's fragrance-free. 2. Absorbs well The liquid formula glides on easily and the overall absorption right after application seems pretty good. 1. Slight stickiness Maybe it's because my U-zone is oily, but while it feels fine right after application, it seems like my face gets oilier than usual more quickly. (I didn't apply any other products) 2. Ambiguous hydration I found it okay without applying anything else, but those sensitive to dryness might need to layer something on top. However, if you do this, it feels more like a toner than an essence. It might work well as a light toner for fall and winter if you don't think of it as an essence. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 8, 2022
Scent: The fragrance is nearly unscented, making it easy to use without any discomfort. Hydration + Texture: It has a fluid texture similar to a toner. When first applied, it feels moisturizing, and as time passes, it seems to absorb into the skin with a plumping effect. Its lightweight application compared to traditional essences might be perfect for those who dislike heavier formulas. Quantity: Considering the price, the amount isn't particularly small, and it should last for quite a while. This product might be more suitable for combination dehydrated or oily skin types. For those with dry skin, it may feel a bit light. If you're looking for intense hydration, you might want to consider using additional products alongside this one. When I first used it, I felt a slight tingling sensation, but it didn't cause any blemishes or adverse reactions! In fact, it seemed to help calm redness. Tip: It's beneficial to apply the essence using a cotton pad, gently patting it along the skin's texture for better absorption.
