Bakuchiol is less irritating than retinol, but it is recommended to test it first before using it if the skin is sensitive. Bakuchiol is used in various cosmetics and can be used as an alternative to or in combination with retinol.

According to a clinical study published in the <British Journal of Dermatology> in 2019, a 12-week study was conducted on 44 patients, where one group applied a 0.5% bakuchiol cream twice a day and the other group applied a 0.5% retinol cream every night. The results showed that bakuchiol and retinol reduced the surface area of fine wrinkles on the face to a similar degree. However, 59% of the bakuchiol group showed improved hyperpigmentation, compared to 44% in the retinol group. The study findings indicate that bakuchiol acts similarly to retinol in reducing wrinkles and pigmentation, but with less skin irritation, burning, and itching compared to retinol.

The disappointing aspect seems to be that there hasn't been anything like it yet while using it.

In the evening, using it as a sleeping pack made my face brighter. It manages pores, whitening, and elasticity. Bakuchiol, which is currently popular, is a natural and powerful anti-aging antioxidant with fewer side effects than retinol. The reason I was interested in bakuchiol, which is called the natural ingredient of retinol, was that it maintains the anti-aging effect while reducing side effects, improving signs of aging such as wrinkles, freckles, and blemishes. There was a whitening effect that made the face brighter and a cooling effect, rather than just moisturizing. There was nothing particular. Scent of medicine? The wash-off pack was a bit inconvenient, but after washing it off, there was a refreshing feeling instead.. a sense of cleanliness.

The texture is like lemon pudding. It has a pleasant, spreadable feel when applied.
The scent is a mild medicinal aroma, but it is not unpleasant. In fact, a stronger fragrance may have been undesirable.
The positive aspects are that it immediately leaves a slightly brightened complexion after cleansing, and it has an effective smoothing effect on the skin.
While the serum caused blemishes, the pack did not, and I enjoyed it so much that I have an extra one.
