I must have gone through at least 8 bottles of this over the past 2 years! I have long hair, and even if I washed it in the morning, by evening it would get all limp and stringy due to my oily scalp. It was so frustrating! Without conditioner or treatment, my hair would feel too dry and rough. But using those products meant spending ages rinsing my hair. That is, until I discovered this shampoo - it's been a total game-changer! I've seen some reviews saying it doesn't control oil well, but my experience has been the opposite. Since I started using just this shampoo alone, without any conditioner or treatment, I've noticed my scalp stays oil-free even into the evening. Plus, I maintain great root volume all day long. It must be the magic of its mildly acidic formula... This one product does it all! Of course, it's not as softening as using conditioner, but compared to other shampoos, it's surprisingly good even without it. The best part is, since I no longer need conditioner, my shower time has decreased significantly. It's really improved my quality of life - less time spent washing and drying my hair! With continued use, my hair seems to have adapted. Now it feels soft and smooth. I've actually stopped using all other hair products - this is all I need. In short, I absolutely love it. Given how effective it is, the volume and price are totally worth it. There's nothing I dislike about it! At first, I thought it might not lather as well as my previous shampoos, but that's not the case at all. In fact, the more I use it, the richer and more luxurious the lather feels. If you're someone who usually uses conditioner, try going without it when you use this shampoo. You might find that your oily scalp issues weren't actually due to your shampoo at all! - ju*********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJun 4, 2025
It's great for sensitive scalps - gentle and keeps hair adequately moisturized. No particular downsides, but it's a bit pricey when not on sale. - no******Dry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 26, 2025
It soothes the scalp wonderfully No itching or tingling sensation, and It seems to reduce sebum production too It would be great if it came in a larger size with a pump dispenser - sz*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedMar 17, 2025
As someone with seborrheic dermatitis, I've been trying various recommended shampoos. I decided to give this one a try after hearing it was gentle, and I'm glad I did! It feels mild and has reduced my scalp itchiness, so I've been using it consistently. I wish it came in a larger size option! Since it's become a staple in my routine, I'd love to be able to buy it in bulk. - wl*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedJan 15, 2025
+ Scalp type: Oily scalp that gets greasy after about 20 hours, sensitive and prone to redness and itching + Product texture: Thinner compared to other shampoos + Fragrance: Mood-lifting scent of honey-soaked flowers + User experience: I was worried about its cleansing effectiveness, but it surprisingly worked well. Some shampoos can make hair stiff due to excessive cleansing, but this product left my hair soft. It's gentle on the scalp, which I really appreciate. I'm already on my 4th bottle! There aren't any particular downsides, except maybe the small quantity? However, when you stock up during 1+1 promotions, it doesn't feel like you're wasting money on this product. To use less shampoo, try this method: Wet your hair thoroughly, then apply small amounts of shampoo to your hands, lather up, and apply multiple times. This works better than putting a large amount directly on your scalp all at once! - ms****Oily SkinAcne SkinJan 1, 2025
As I have a sensitive scalp, I chose the Peony shampoo from Klorane's range. One of its benefits is itch relief, which I found quite effective. While it wasn't too drying for my scalp, which is neither oily nor dry, it did feel a bit on the drier side. However, it doesn't strip your hair of all its natural oils. I wouldn't recommend it for extremely oily or dry scalps, but it should work well for those with oily to normal scalps. The fragrance is lovely too - a subtle, delicate floral scent that's not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. Despite the low lather, the pleasant aroma makes me want to use it again. Like Nuxe, it seems French brands generally excel at creating beautiful fragrances. It doesn't lather very well. While it does produce some foam, the amount is rather disappointing. - je*******Dry SkinRecommendedJan 1, 2025
It feels like I'm losing less hair. I'm considering repurchasing. My hair seems to get oily faster. It doesn't lather up much. - gr********Dry SkinInner DrynessRecommendedNov 10, 2024
I have a sensitive scalp that gets super dry from fall to winter, with dead skin cells flaking off like crazy. I've tried prescription shampoos from dermatologists and pharmacist-recommended ones, but they were all too harsh and made things worse when I stopped using them. This shampoo, however, is gentle on my scalp year-round. The best part? Its lovely fragrance makes me look forward to using it daily. If I had to nitpick, the price is a bit on the higher side. But considering how well it works, I actually think it's quite reasonable. - hy*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedAug 19, 2024
I have a scalp that gets itchy and oily, becoming greasy if I skip washing my hair for just one day. When I used to use shampoos for oily hair, they would remove the excess oil but dry out my scalp, causing itchiness. However, since I started using the Peony shampoo, the itchiness has completely disappeared! The fragrance is lovely, leaving a subtle floral scent on my crown after washing. I appreciate that it's made with plant-derived ingredients, making it trustworthy, and it's moisturizing enough even for oily scalps. It's also quite effective at controlling scalp odor. I've been alternating between this and the Citrus shampoo, and I've noticed less hair fall since I started using them. If you're considering changing your shampoo due to an itchy scalp, I highly recommend this one! There's really nothing to complain about with this shampoo. However, it might be challenging to use for those with extremely oily scalps! - ls***Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 15, 2024
Optimized for sensitive scalps. Great that it doesn't cause redness. The fragrance isn't particularly pleasant. It has a slight detergent-like smell.
