You need to control the amount well to avoid clumping. While it doesn't have the same hold as a hairspray and inevitably loses some hold in windy conditions, it's still satisfactory overall. Considering I chose this product to avoid the strong ingredients and fragrances found in hairsprays and other hair products, I'd recommend it as a product worth using consistently.

When applied like a hair emulsion, it creates natural-looking curls. It's great for taming flyaways too. Above all, its unscented formula is a major plus.

The scent wasn't off-putting. Usually, I dislike pomade products because they smell too strong, but this one has just the right fragrance. Also, the hold isn't too intense, which actually makes it great for taming those pesky flyaways without looking unnatural.

There are no downsides. My boyfriend is 100% satisfied and says he'll buy it again when he runs out. He's grateful we got to try it through the event.

Ingredients - Orute shines with zero harmful ingredients 💛 I felt confident gifting it to my boyfriend!

Scent - He says the fragrance is subtle, so it doesn't irritate his nose. My boyfriend has a sensitive nose and is really particular about scents! He even picks out my perfumes, so if this passed his test, it must be good.

Application - He says it applies smoothly, making styling easy. My boyfriend is a bit clumsy, but on the day he used this, his hair looked amazing. I can vouch for that! When I asked why his hair looked so good, he said it was because of Orute. He loves that it comes in a tube - it's convenient and easier to use than scooping product out.

Finish - It's matte, so there's no 'Hey, I'm wearing hair product!' look. It's very natural! And it doesn't make the hair stiff or obvious that you're wearing wax or gel.

Residue - He says it washes out easily with just one shampoo. And there's no stiffness left in the hair.

Hold - The product came with a picture of a surfer with perfectly styled hair. Well, the hold is just as impressive in real life. Both my boyfriend and I can attest to that. On the day of a department event, he was out for about 12 hours in the wind and sweat, but his hair stayed exactly as it was in the morning... amazing!

I tried this wax to tame those pesky 'grass-like' hairs that stick up at the crown, and it works quite well! Apply moderately, and it won't look greasy while still being easy to adjust. The staying power is decent, though not extremely strong, so you'll need to find the right balance. 
Remember to apply small amounts for the best styling results! The thick consistency can make your hair look stiff if you use too much... Just a heads up!

Overall: Even as someone who doesn't use hair wax often, I found this product quite good. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a portable and easily adjustable styling product!
