Compared to the Dr. Groot shampoo I was using before, the volumizing effect isn't as great. However, after washing, the amount of hair that falls out seems to be slightly less. It's said that the caffeine in Alpecin helps stimulate blood flow to the hair follicles and has a mild DHT-blocking effect. Honestly, I'm not sure if the shampoo can do that much, but since the minoxidil treatment is the main thing, any help from the shampoo is appreciated. The strong cleansing power might be better for oily scalps or during the summer. As I have a dry scalp, I sometimes add a drop of panthenol ampoule to the shampoo. Or I alternate between this shampoo and a milder one.
ConsThe scent of the father's skin, which has a light fragrance, has been released for men. It can be used very generously as it has a low viscosity. In my case, if I use it every day, it causes pimples on my scalp, so I alternate it with other shampoos.

My hair was falling out at an alarming rate, so I decided to try a men's shampoo as well. To my surprise, I've seen a noticeable improvement in my hair loss since using this product. It seems that this shampoo is a good match for me. The lather is rich and luxurious, with a strong masculine fragrance. The color is blue, and when used with the pre-wash, the foam is incredibly abundant. I've definitely experienced less hair shedding. There is a slightly stiff feeling after washing, but most anti-hair loss shampoos tend to have that effect, so it doesn't bother me much. (I'm fairly easygoing, and the stiffness can be addressed with a good conditioner.) After the pre-wash, there's a refreshing, cooling sensation as the heat dissipates. Alternating this shampoo with regular shampoos doesn't seem to diminish its effectiveness. The fragrance is quite potent and masculine, so I sometimes alternate with more feminine-scented shampoos. But in 99% of cases, I end up coming back to this one, as it's so effective for my hair loss. I'm the type of person who experiences noticeable oiliness if I skip a day of washing, but this shampoo keeps my hair feeling fresh and clean for much longer than other products.
ConsWhile no shampoo is truly different, if I don't wash thoroughly or with enough care, I inevitably end up with scalp irritation. The fragrance is also quite polarizing - I personally enjoy it, but I can see how the strong scent could be off-putting for some. And since I have trouble opening the cap, I just leave it open and use it that way. Additionally, while it's not always out of stock, I often find that it's sold out when I try to purchase it. I suppose it's become quite popular these days...
TipBe sure to do a pre-wash, then massage the shampoo into your scalp with your fingertips for 2 minutes during the second wash. Rinse thoroughly and dry your hair well. Those of you who are prone to oiliness, or dealing with hair loss-related stress, are in for a real game-changer.
