I also love the fragrance.
ConsThe packaging material feels a bit like paper, so as I use it, it gets dirty and turns yellowish.

It also played well with my makeup, creating a great base.
ConsThere's not really anything to complain about, except maybe the price... It's a tad on the expensive side.

It's not overpowering, but rather subtle, and doesn't linger for long. You can smell it briefly when applying, but once absorbed, the scent is barely noticeable. - Texture: It has a very thin, emulsion-like consistency. - Application: Due to its very fluid texture, it glides on smoothly when applied to the skin. You don't need to rub it in vigorously or spread it out too much - it's easy to apply. I tend to apply sunscreen frequently and generously, and I often feel like my face gets irritated from the process of spreading sunscreen. So I usually pat it in with a silicone pad, but with this Herbloom sunscreen, I could easily apply it just like an emulsion, which was great. - Product Composition and Packaging: I was really surprised when I received the package. From the shipping box to the product packaging and the product itself, everything was the epitome of eco-friendliness.
ConsThe main drawback is undoubtedly the price. While I understand to some extent that it's expensive because it's a vegan product and entirely eco-friendly, it's still a bit burdensome on the wallet.
Tip* I tend to apply sunscreen on the back of my hands and palms, especially in summer. Interestingly, this sunscreen absorbs faster than hand cream when applied to the hands, and it doesn't feel stuffy or sticky at all.

It applies smoothly like an emulsion. ✨Scent I'm quite sensitive to fragrances, but this one doesn't have any bothersome scent. Very satisfied! ✨Blemishes Having sensitive skin, I always check for potential breakouts before using a product. I first applied it around my chin area and noticed no issues. Then I applied it all over my face, and still no problems! Overall, I'm really loving it and plan to make it a staple in my routine!!!
ConsThe packaging is a bit flimsy, so even a gentle squeeze makes the product gush out, haha!

I highly recommend it. Plus, the eco-friendly packaging is practical and impressive.
ConsThe paper packaging makes me a bit nervous about tearing, so I can't carry it in my bag. It's not an issue for me since I use it as a base at home, but if I had to nitpick, that would be it.
TipThere's a tear-off mark in the middle, so when you're almost done with the product, you can open it up to use every last bit!

I have combination dehydrated skin with blemishes and marks. My T-zone is oily, but my cheeks are dry. I absolutely hate when my face feels greasy, sticky, or slippery, and I'm sensitive to fragrances. Scent: There's a very, very faint sunscreen smell. It's so mild that you can put on a mask right after application without any issues. Texture: It's white like other sunscreens, but it doesn't spread as easily as the super greasy ones. However, it still applies smoothly, almost like a moisturizer! Effects: First off, no eye irritation - that's fantastic! Plus, there's no greasiness! I used to hate how my face would instantly become shiny after applying sunscreen, but not with this one! You don't even need to use a sebum control powder afterward, which can sometimes reduce the sunscreen's effectiveness. As someone with combination dehydrated skin who hates feeling suffocated, I really dislike greasiness and shininess, but this doesn't do that at all! It's hydrating and lightweight! It honestly feels like I've applied a really good, light, and moisturizing cream! Usually, sunscreen makes my face feel heavy, but not this one - it's amazing! While some oil production in summer is inevitable, it's much less than with other brands of sunscreen. Just slightly more than usual, without feeling suffocating. This is truly my holy grail! Now I can finally wear sunscreen for my health! There's a tiny bit of white cast, but it's more like a slight tone correction, which is fine! It doesn't leave your face looking chalky - it really just feels like a moisturizer! I love it so much! Overall: I used to avoid sunscreen because of the four horsemen of sunscreen apocalypse (greasiness, eye irritation, shininess, and strong scent), but thanks to the Calming Days Vegan Sunscreen, I can finally use it! It's the first time I've ever worn sunscreen without feeling suffocated! As someone who cares about the environment, I love that it's vegan and the packaging is recyclable! Plus, you can tear the tube to use every last drop - how economical! I was worried the packaging might be flimsy, but it's actually quite sturdy! To sum up, unlike traditional sunscreens, this feels like applying a light, hydrating moisturizer. It's lightweight, hydrating, non-greasy, and non-sticky - I love it! No eye irritation, and the scent is so faint you can wear a mask right after without any smell! I think I can finally stop wasting money trying different sunscreens. I've never finished a bottle of sunscreen before, but I think I'll use this one to the last drop!
ConsThere's nothing to complain about! It's so good! I was slightly worried the case might break, but it's surprisingly durable! (It survived being squished between books and other items in my handbag!) The only downside is that as a new graduate, I prefer more affordable basics that I can use regularly. The price is a bit high, so I'll probably only buy it when it's on sale or splurge on it for summer. But it's definitely worth the money! I wish my salary would increase... then I could just buy it without hesitation... sigh
TipFor those worried about the packaging breaking, I can assure you it's sturdy! It survived being tossed around in my handbag with books and other items without any issues! (But just to be safe, you might want to keep it in a cosmetic pouch!) Also, you can tear the tube to use every last drop, making it very economical!

My makeup doesn't dry out or flake. It doesn't go on thick, so there's no pilling, and my foundation doesn't break down noticeably either! ♥ The scent is inoffensive, though it smells a bit like glue when applied to the body. But it's not unpleasant! ♥ The packaging is unique! I think you can tear it open to use every last drop when it stops coming out. It's great that I'll be able to use it all up!
Cons☆ As moisturizing as it is, it's not without stickiness. It wasn't bothersome on my face since I'd be applying makeup over it, but when I tried it on my body, it felt uncomfortably sticky. If you're only applying sunscreen on your face without makeup, it might be so sticky that your hair gets caught in it... I'll stick to using it on my face before makeup only!

Unlike old-school sunscreens that were thick and left a white cast, nowadays we have sunscreens like this that apply like a hydrating emulsion. When I applied it to the back of my hand, which is the thinnest and most wrinkled area, it spread smoothly like an emulsion, absorbing cleanly just like skincare products! As you can see in the photo, there's no settling into wrinkles at all. ✅It gives a subtle glow When I first applied it, I thought 'Wow, amazing!' because of the beautiful dewy glow, but after it absorbed, it wasn't quite as dewy. Instead, it left a very subtle glow that I really liked. Usually, sunscreens can make you look a bit pale due to the white cast, but this one allows for a healthy, natural skin appearance! ✅Made with vegan paper material As a vegan-friendly sunscreen, the packaging is made of paper instead of plastic. This is my first time encountering such cosmetics, and I think it's quite clever. While we'll have to see how well the paper material holds up in summer without getting damaged, I think it's a great mindset to take on this challenge for the environment.
Cons❌It's a chemical sunscreen I have very sensitive, blemish-prone skin, so I only use physical sunscreens on my face and chemical sunscreens on my body. Actually, because it applies like an emulsion, it might be good for smoothly applying on arms and legs. When you apply sunscreen with a white cast on your body, it can look really patchy, right? But this product should be easy to apply without worry. ❌No brightening effect! At first, I thought 'Oh, does it naturally brighten the skin?', but after it was fully absorbed, I noticed it didn't really make much difference to my original skin tone. For someone like me who prefers sunscreens that apply like an emulsion, this isn't a drawback, but it might not be suitable for those looking to even out their complexion without foundation.
TipFor those planning to use it on your face, you can apply it before makeup without pilling, and it should actually create a nice base!

I guess sensitivity varies from person to person, even with the same ingredients. Anyway, I had no issues. * Great absorption: It has an emulsion-like texture and a pleasant, fresh herbal scent. * Effective sun protection: I used it for hiking, walks, and daily activities, and I'm satisfied. * Is it greasy? No: It's really just like a regular emulsion in terms of texture. * Does it cause excessive dryness? No: I have a lot to say about this... Some sunscreens that emphasize a matte finish can make your face feel tight and dry by the afternoon. This one doesn't do that. It's just as moisturizing as an emulsion, so while it doesn't have a powdery finish, it also doesn't dry out your skin. * Does it pill under makeup? No: I apply toner and hydrating essence, then this sunscreen before starting my makeup, and it works fine. No pilling at all.
ConsI'm not sure how sweat-resistant it is for intense activities like hiking, where I tend to sweat a lot. It feels like it might melt off with sweat. It's great for everyday use and light walks though.
TipMake sure to apply it thoroughly on your neck! Don't skip the neck area just to feel fresh - it'll only lead to an uneven tan and potential skin damage later on!

It made a great first impression. Texture: The consistency is just right - not too runny to apply, nor too sticky. 'Perfect balance' would be the best way to describe it. Scent: The fragrance isn't overpowering, so even those with sensitive noses should be able to use it comfortably.
ConsShine: As someone with oily skin, I did notice some shine. I used powder to manage it, but it wasn't a major issue.
