My skin type is sensitive and extremely oily,, That's why I usually use matte foundation, and the sunscreen I use before foundation is always a moisturizing one. But this product is super hydrating... At first, it seemed a bit too runny when I applied it, but after spreading it all over, it absorbed nicely and left my skin feeling soft and supple. The great thing is that it applies so smoothly and quickly, which is the biggest advantage in my opinion!! And I'm so glad it's vegan! My skin is sensitive, and I sometimes get breakouts when I use the wrong product, but I didn't experience any issues while using this one! I'd highly recommend this to dry-skinned folks as it's so gentle and moisturizing :)
ConsWhile it was hydrating and gentle, one downside is that the oiliness might be too much for oily-skinned folks like me ㅠㅠ Of course, with a matte foundation and powder, it's not a problem, but for oily-skinned people who don't wear makeup, the oiliness might be a bit too much ㅠㅠ There are days when I only use sunscreen, and on those days, I tend to use a less oily product. But I think this would be perfect for the winter when extra hydration is needed! For oily-skinned folks who only use sunscreen, this might be hit or miss! 🥹
TipThe packaging seems to be made of paper? material, so it might not be the best for carrying around as it could potentially leak. I'd recommend using this at home rather than as a travel product!!!

Vegan Cosmetics, Paper Packaging This is a vegan sunscreen with a paper package, so you can feel less guilty about the environmental impact. It's also easy to squeeze out just the right amount, requiring less force than plastic containers. 2. Smooth Application During the summer, my skin tends to get oily, so I've always used only mineral sunscreens to control the oil. This is my first experience with an organic sunscreen, so it's hard to compare, but the application was definitely smooth. The slightly runny formula is moisturizing, making it great for the transition from spring to summer (applies like a lotion). There's no white cast, so I'd recommend this to those who dislike that. 3. Moisturizing I've always used drying mineral sunscreens, which would make my makeup feel thick and unevenly absorbed. But this product doesn't interfere with my makeup application - it sinks in well even before foundation. As someone who uses a drying foundation, I was able to achieve a slightly dewy skin finish without looking greasy. Personally, as someone who's only used thick, drying mineral sunscreens, this moisturizing organic sunscreen has been a very satisfying product for me.
Cons1. Inconvenient for Travel with Paper Packaging When traveling, the paper packaging can be messy and prone to leaking in your bag. 2. Too Greasy for Solo Use in Summer It was great to use before makeup, but on its own on hot days, it's too greasy. At first the moisturizing effect was nice, but over time it became excessively shiny, requiring me to blot with tissues. Also, when I just wore the sunscreen and filled in my brows, the oil caused the brow makeup to move around over time. I wouldn't recommend those with oily skin use this alone in the summer. 3. Organic Sunscreen Despite my sensitive skin, I didn't have any issues with this product. But for those who prefer mineral sunscreens over organic, this could be a downside. Also, if you like a white cast, this may not be the best choice.
TipI'd recommend using this sunscreen before makeup and then just powdering the overly shiny areas after foundation application.

First impressions, the packaging felt fresh! I liked that they made the envelope able to be torn open to use the product all the way to the end. The texture was wonderfully soft and creamy, like a lotion. The best part was the scent!!! It didn't have that nauseating sunscreen smell that I really disliked.
ConsThe downside was that the container was thin, so if you applied too much pressure, the product would come out in a big glob. And like all sunscreens, it left a shiny, glossy finish, so I had to make sure to powder over it after my base makeup.
TipIt worked better to apply it in a few layers rather than trying to put on a lot at once - that way the product absorbed better.

After applying, it feels quite soft and fluffy, but not stuffy at all. There's not much of a whitening effect on the face, and it spreads on smoothly and leaves a hydrated feeling. The fragrance is quite subtle, not causing any headaches, and it was comfortable to wear throughout the day.
ConsThe initial scent had a bit of an industrial smell, which I didn't like much. The lingering fragrance was also a bit unpleasant, and upon closer inspection, I detected a faint powdery baby formula-like odor underneath the fresh notes. However, it was almost fragrance-free, so it was alright after application. There was also a slight oily sheen, which I didn't particularly enjoy.
TipUsing a toner before applying this product would be beneficial.

Texture: The lotion-like texture with good moisture content and lightweight application were the best parts. It should suit most skin types except for extremely dry or oily skin. Ingredients: As the product emphasizes its vegan status, the ingredients are all gentle, which I liked. In the summer heat, I often experience breakouts when applying and removing sunscreen, but I didn't have that issue with this product, so it was very comfortable to use.
ConsOiliness: As a combination skin type, the oil production increased over time, causing a slight shiny look. It's fine to use alone, but when applying makeup on top in the summer, it may break down faster. Packaging: The product packaging feels very much like a refill pack, lacking a sturdy container. This makes it less suitable for carrying around and reapplying throughout the day, which is something I usually do in the summer. It would be great if they offered a portable package as well as a larger one for home use.
TipWhen applied to the body, the gentle ingredients and adequate moisture make the skin feel very comfortable and non-sticky.

It has a lotion-like texture! It's not so watery that it flows. It applies smoothly. There's no clumping, and it spreads out thinly and evenly with a swipe! 📍Usage Experience I've been applying it every morning, and it's been applying without any major issues. It seems gentle. There's no white cast, and while there's an oily feeling on the hands after application, it doesn't seem to get excessively oily over time. It doesn't sting the eyes! Some products cause stinging right away, but this one doesn't. 📍Fragrance It's not a strong fragrance, and it's not completely fragrance-free either, but I don't think it will be a love-it-or-hate-it kind of scent! It has a slight lemon-like fragrance when applied. 📍Packaging The body seems to be made of paper... Considering the environment, this seems like a good design. It also seems convenient to squeeze out the last bits when it's almost empty. This seems better than a plastic container.
Cons📍It seems to have more oiliness than expected. It's a bit oily when first applied, but it seems to be okay over time. But still, the initial greasiness... 📍The packaging might be a love-it-or-hate-it kind of thing.
TipHaving a hand wipe nearby is a must, ☆

The eco-friendly packaging of this vegan brand was impressive. I was worried that the paper packaging might be inconvenient, but there was no such issue. The usage feels just like using a plastic container. The paper opening seal also showed that they paid attention to even the smallest details. 2. I really dislike white cast, but since this is an organic sunscreen, there is almost no white cast. In fact, I would say there is practically no white cast at all. 3. I did not experience any breakouts. The ingredients seem to be quite gentle. 4. It gives a dewy, glowy skin finish. The formula feels more oily than moisturizing, so it would be great for dry skin types. However, oily skin types may not enjoy the heavy, shiny look. 5. Other sunscreens tend to dry out over time, but this one remains hydrating and doesn't feel tight on the skin. 6. The application is very smooth, like a moisturizing lotion. 7. I was unfamiliar with this brand at first, so I was a bit skeptical. But it turned out to be better than I expected.
ConsTo be honest, I'm not a big fan of organic sunscreens, but this one is so hydrating that even though I have combination skin, I think it would be too much for me in the summer. It's just so moisturizing. That's the downside. The oil content feels a bit excessive, even though the moisture level is high. If they could just reduce the oil a bit, it would be a great product for all skin types.
TipWhen using this product, oily and combination skin types should keep their skincare routine simple. Applying an oil-rich cream and then this sunscreen would be an oil overload... In the summer, I'd recommend using a serum, then the lotion, and then this sunscreen for a subtle, glowy look! For oily skin types, just using the serum and then directly applying this sunscreen should prevent any dryness.

I wrote this Hwahae review with an open mind. First of all, the paper packaging was really innovative. It somehow gave me a feeling of doing something good for the environment, unintentionally. I then evaluated it based on 1. breakouts, 2. eye irritation, and 3. heaviness. 1. Breakouts were a total non-issue. There was a bit of oiliness, but no actual breakouts. The sunscreen removed cleanly without burdening the skin. 2. Eye irritation was incredibly satisfying. I can usually test this right away when wearing contact lenses, and there was absolutely no irritation. 3. Heaviness was felt a bit, but not to an extreme degree. If you really dislike any heaviness, you might notice it, but it wasn't a major problem for me. It's moisturizing enough to work well as a makeup base, and being vegan is an added bonus for this sunscreen.
ConsThere was some white cast, though. I personally don't mind white cast, but I'm noting it in case it's a concern for you. And there is some oiliness.
TipIt works great as a makeup base too.

I was really surprised when I wrote a negative review, because I really dislike the scent of sunscreen, and it felt like it went from 100 to 10...!! Thank you so much for the great opportunity!! I think I'll buy and use it again once I finish my current sunscreen~
ConsThe only downside during the 2 weeks of use is that it is a moisturizing cream, so there is quite a bit of oiliness. Other than that, I don't think there's anything else.
