To be honest, I hadn't heard much about this brand in Korea, but upon researching, I found out it's a famous shampoo brand from the UK. It seems it's not widely available in Korea yet. The shampoo I received was the "Oily Scalp" variant, which is said to be effective in removing excess sebum from the scalp. So, here's my review: Cleansing effectiveness: It's absolutely fantastic! It leaves your scalp feeling squeaky clean. Unlike regular shampoos, when you rinse out all the lather, it feels a bit tight - it really feels like it's stripping away all the oil! Scent: It has a pleasant, not overpowering coconut scent with a hint of floral musk. I quite liked it! Lasting power: It definitely removes scalp sebum effectively, so my hair doesn't get greasy quickly...! (This is very important) To share a bit more, I usually start seeing noticeable greasiness by the second day, but with this shampoo, my hair still looked fine on day two! Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product! The price is quite high for the amount you get... and it's still difficult to find this product in Korea. Those are probably the only downsides. - dl*********Combination SkinRecommendedOct 24, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The scent is a delightful blend of coconut with a hint of pineapple. It's not overpowering, but rather subtly diffuses, making you smell naturally good instead of artificially perfumed. I've even received compliments from people around me about how nice my hair smells after using it. As for oiliness, I've always loved fragrant shampoos and have tried various brands like Mi**en. However, I often found that shampoos focusing on fragrance and other features tended to leave my hair greasy. This shampoo, on the other hand, not only smells great but also keeps my hair from getting flat all day! While it did start to flatten on the second day, for someone like me who usually experiences flat hair by evening after a morning wash, this was an incredible improvement! The main drawback is definitely the price. While it's a shampoo with a lovely fragrance and great oil control, I'm not sure if its performance justifies the 40,000 won price tag. Perhaps it's because I've never used such an expensive shampoo before, but I can't shake the feeling that it's quite pricey for a shampoo. Additionally, I didn't see significant improvements for my seborrheic dermatitis. While it didn't worsen the condition, I can't say it had a notably positive effect either. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 24, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It lathers up similarly to regular shampoos, but I felt it was gentler on my scalp. It seemed to cause less irritation - maybe I should say it was less itchy? I have an oily scalp that's prone to blemishes occasionally. As soon as you open it, there's a strong coconut oil scent that might be hit or miss for some people. I couldn't detect any pineapple scent at all. It's currently listed at 48,000 won with a 20% discount, but honestly, at that price point, I'd be more inclined to go for an Aveda product instead. - en*********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 22, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I've updated this after using the product for over a month. First, the scent is a mix of pineapple and coconut - it's a unique blend of fresh and warm notes. It reminds me a bit of Fanta Pineapple. It's not your typical soapy or shampoo fragrance, which I actually prefer because of its uniqueness. Personally, scents don't usually linger in my hair, but this shampoo left a subtle coconut aroma that lasted for a long time. It's not overpowering or cheap-smelling that could cause headaches. As the name 'Oil-less Scalp' suggests, I recommend this for those with oily hair. It lathers well, and like most shampoos for oily hair, it leaves your hair feeling clean rather than soft after rinsing. However, it's not overly stripping - it just removes excess oil effectively. For a softer finish, I'd still recommend using a conditioner! The best part is how well it controls scalp odor. Even 24 hours after washing, there's barely any smell - which is quite rare for oily hair types! I've tried various oily hair shampoos, including the famous hair vinegar, but this one controls odor the best. You don't even need to double shampoo! This is what I'm most satisfied with. It's not always easy to find the right product, but I'm satisfied in many ways and would repurchase. I wish it was a bit more affordable! I'd love to make this my go-to shampoo. Also, when I used it daily, I noticed some blemishes on my scalp, possibly due to dryness. So now I use it once or twice a week as a deep cleanse for excess oil rather than daily. - qh*******Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 21, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

If this sounds like you, buy this product right now... I used to stress about scalp odor no matter how carefully I washed my hair, but after using this product, I discovered my scalp could smell like sweet coconut. Amazingly, the scent lasts for at least a day! I initially thought it would have a cool mint scent since the product is mint-colored and called 'Oil Scalp', but when I opened it, I was surprised by the sweet coconut fragrance. It was unique and intriguing. Not only does it leave a long-lasting sweet scent on your hair and eliminate scalp odor, but it also thoroughly removes oil from your scalp. It's excellent at making oily scalps feel fresh, but here's the twist - after washing and drying, I was shocked at how silky smooth my hair felt. Almost every oil scalp shampoo I've tried before effectively removed oil but left my hair feeling stripped of moisture and life, making it rough. This is a complete game-changer! There are absolutely no drawbacks. I genuinely couldn't find any flaws with this product. If they offered a larger size, I'd be willing to buy this product exclusively for life. - id******Dry SkinRecommendedOct 21, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Fragrance longevity: Even after shampooing and drying your hair, the scent lingers quite nicely! I find myself constantly wanting to smell my hair... Cleansing effectiveness: Being a vegan shampoo, it seems to lather a bit less than regular shampoos. However, after washing and rinsing, your hair feels squeaky clean and refreshed. Just because it doesn't lather as much as conventional shampoos doesn't mean its cleansing power is lacking! As it's already recommended for those with dandruff or oily scalps, I feel like people with these concerns would be particularly satisfied. The cleansing power is not bad at all, and even after being out all day after washing my hair, I didn't feel like it got greasy. (Note: I don't typically have an oily scalp.) While the scent might not be polarizing, the coconut fragrance is stronger than you might expect, so just keep that in mind. Also, the price point is a bit high! - km****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedOct 21, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Strangely, I've been experiencing severe dead skin cells on my scalp lately, making me wonder if I actually have dry skin instead. The amount of flaking is so extreme that when I brush my hair, dead skin cells literally pile up on the floor (no exaggeration). I'm also losing a lot of hair. So, I was thrilled to receive this product amidst these concerns, and I'm writing this review with that excitement. Pros: 1. It contains glycerin and sodium PCA, guaranteeing powerful hydration! I think most people searching for or using this product are dealing with oily hair and scalp flaking. In such cases, hydration is crucial. 2. The shampoo's fragrance lasts incredibly long. I love how it seems to mask any scalp odor while lingering. 3. It lathers well, meaning even those with long, straight hair like me need less product compared to other shampoos. (For reference, I usually need to lather up 4-5 times for my hair length) Cons: 1. As mentioned in the product description, it has a pineapple and coconut scent. While I'm not sensitive to fragrances and didn't mind it much, scent preferences vary greatly from person to person, so some might dislike it. 2. It contains citric acid, which is listed as an ingredient not recommended for sensitive skin on the Hwahae app. In high concentrations, it can cause skin irritation. Those with sensitive skin who react to specific ingredients should take note of this. 3. Despite being a functional shampoo and very popular in the UK, the price is exorbitant. On N-site, the regular price is 60,000 won, discounted 5% to 57,000 won. Even with its excellent functionality, I wonder how many people can comfortably spend 57,000 won on shampoo... It's disappointing. Tip: After lathering up sufficiently with the shampoo, leave the foam on your hair for a while instead of rinsing it off immediately. This waiting period allows the foam and shampoo ingredients to soften the dead skin cells on your scalp, making them easier to remove and leaving your scalp cleaner. - ki*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 21, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I've tried many shampoos for oily hair, but it's been challenging to find an effective product. After searching for a suitable shampoo for oily hair, I had the opportunity to try the Hairburst Oily Scalp Shampoo for a week as part of The Hwahae Testers event. First, let's look at the shampoo's key features: Hairburst Oily Scalp Shampoo Characteristics: #Oily Hair #Problematic Scalp #Dandruff It claims to use low-molecular substances that deeply penetrate the scalp, resulting in fresh-feeling hair and scalp! Now, let me share my experience after using it: Texture: Standard shampoo consistency, neither too thin nor too thick Scent: Sweet coconut fragrance - this is incredibly appealing! Excellent scent longevity after washing Lather: Produces sufficient foam even with a small amount Volume: 350ml, which is somewhat small for a shampoo Packaging: Flip-top lid, though a pump dispenser would have been preferable Price: Quite expensive for the volume Overall impression: I found it more effective than other shampoos for my oily scalp and limp hair, which was satisfying! There was a slight stiffness after washing, but it wasn't bothersome when I used a conditioner. The sweet coconut scent made every wash a pleasant experience. Despite its many advantages, the biggest drawback is the poor value for money when considering the price-to-volume ratio. While I'd like to keep using this shampoo because it works well, the high cost makes me hesitant. Be careful not to use too much of the shampoo, as it can create excessive lather. Use an appropriate amount for best results. - si*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedOct 21, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Scent: If you're not a fan of coconut, I wouldn't recommend this as the coconut scent is quite strong! Personally, I don't mind it too much, and it didn't give me a headache, so it was fine for me. 2. Cleansing effectiveness: I usually have to shampoo twice to feel like my extremely oily scalp is clean. When used daily, this shampoo lathers well, and although one wash isn't quite enough, it does an okay job when I'm in a hurry. However, if I skip a day, the lather dies down too quickly with just one wash. You need at least two washes to feel like you've shampooed properly. While it's good for oily scalps, it doesn't completely control oil production. 3. Other notes: I was surprised at how soft my hair became. Usually, shampoos for oily hair can make your hair feel quite stiff, but this one left my hair feeling quite soft and moisturized. The scent is a bit strong, and there are too many potentially allergenic ingredients, unfortunately. - ch**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 21, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

As I've gotten older, I've become more sensitive to strong scents, but this one isn't overpowering or artificial, making it perfect for daily use. Lather - It quickly works up a rich lather with just a bit of rubbing, making it easy to wash even long hair that reaches down to the chest. Cleansing effectiveness - After rinsing, you can feel that squeaky-clean sensation as you wring out your hair, leaving you feeling refreshed and confident that your hair is truly clean. Oil control - I typically struggle with dryness all over, including dry eyes, but paradoxically have oily skin and scalp. This shampoo does a great job controlling excess oil! Previously, I'd feel my scalp getting a bit greasy by lunchtime after washing at night, but with this shampoo, my hair stays fresh until evening. The best part is that it doesn't strip all the moisture away - my hair ends still feel soft for a long time. This is what I'm most satisfied with! Say goodbye to scalp blemishes and sebum buildup. I also notice much less of an odor from my crown area. It's a bit inconvenient that it's not a pump bottle, especially when washing long hair - you have to flip the bottle multiple times to get enough product out. However, the smaller size makes it suitable for taking to the gym or sauna.
