I desperately needed eye patches due to severe under-eye sagging. These have a soft, jelly-like texture that doesn't dry out quickly, which is great. The feel is pleasant too. True to its 'Gold' name, it has a subtle shimmer. I love how it leaves my under-eye area hydrated. It's best to occasionally flip them over to ensure the essence is evenly distributed. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 7, 2023
<<A review from The Hwahae Testers!>> My skin type is combination dehydrated skin, which might be helpful to know! After using it for two weeks, I'm overall satisfied with this product! The value for money is excellent, making it a great gift option too. 👍 Generous amount of essence There's a really generous amount of essence, which gives a nice moisturizing feeling when applied! 👍 Patches don't slide off despite being thick Even though the patches are thick, they didn't slide off for me. Some people say they slide, but mine stayed put well. 👍 Moisturizing After removing the patches, the under-eye area feels nicely hydrated! It gives a pampered feeling, and it's not sticky at all. Overall, it seems like a product that would be beneficial with consistent use. Even with my super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any blemishes after use, which was great! Hmm, there wasn't really anything negative to mention! If I had to say something, I'd say that using your fingers to pick up the patches works better than the tweezers provided. The patches are quite slippery! - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 7, 2023
When you remove the patches after some time, you can visibly see they've become thinner. It feels like the area under the patch is moisturized from deep within. Even when applied close to the under-eye area, there's no irritation. The product itself is great, but due to the drawbacks mentioned below, I'm hesitant to purchase it again. Instead of tweezers, it comes with a spatula, which is inconvenient. They recommend applying it to dry skin, but it's awkward to apply emulsion to the rest of the face. If you apply even a toner before using the patch, it tends to slide down a bit. It's easier to use if you peel off the eye patch, place it roughly, and then use your fingers to gently push it up into position. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 6, 2023
I tried an eye patch for wrinkles after a long time, and I was reminded how great the cooling effect and hydration are. After 10 minutes, when I removed it, the gel patch had thinned out, showing that the moisture was effectively delivered to my skin. Plus, the gel adheres well even after some time has passed, maintaining its effectiveness. Since I've only been using it for a short period, I can't speak to any major long-term effects yet. However, I love the immediate firming sensation after removal, so I plan to continue using it every evening! First off, I was quite disappointed with the scent. It reminds me of old-fashioned cosmetics, if that makes sense? I had planned to use it daily, but one day the area where I applied it started to feel irritated. It happened on a day when my skin wasn't in great condition, and the irritation persisted for a few days after. I've temporarily stopped using it for now. I'd advise those with super sensitive skin to avoid this product! When you remove the patch, you can feel an instant firming effect as the nourishing ingredients are absorbed into your skin! So, I think it could be beneficial not just for the eye area, but also for nasolabial folds or any areas where you're concerned about wrinkles. Another tip: try applying the eye patches before putting on a face mask - it feels like you're giving your skin a double treatment! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 6, 2023
First off, true to its collagen name, it has an incredibly soft and bouncy texture. It feels a bit sticky to the touch, as if there's serum on it, but amazingly, when you apply it, that area becomes moisturized. I liked how it hydrated without feeling oily. Surprisingly, even though it looks like it might fall off easily, it stays put well, allowing for normal daily activities. Patches are definitely convenient! I have pretty severe dark circles, and this provides a temporary brightening effect around the eyes. As for wrinkles, I'll need to use up the whole container to see any improvement. Despite having super sensitive skin, I experienced no redness or itching at all. Regarding the scent, while many people dislike it, I personally didn't find it objectionable. It's like a strong 'mom skincare' fragrance? I think it'll be a love-it-or-hate-it kind of thing. I first wondered about the purpose of adding gold to an anti-wrinkle product. When you open it, there's a dazzling sparkle, but after applying and removing it, there seems to be a subtle shimmer left on the face. I put it on after my nighttime skincare routine, but the lingering gold felt unnecessary. Also, it's challenging to pick up each patch with the spatula! The slippery, bouncy texture makes it hard to grab. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 6, 2023
I've been using this for about 2 weeks, sharing it with my mom. The patches themselves are plump and moist like collagen, which feels great when applied to the face. Initially, there's a pleasant cooling sensation. The absorption is excellent - after removing the patch, there's no sticky residue or heavy feeling. The essence absorbs quickly with just a few pats. The scent is subtle and familiar, reminiscent of my mom's skincare products, but not overpowering at all. Importantly, I experienced no blemishes, which is always a concern with new products. The jar contains a generous amount of essence, preventing the patches from drying out quickly during application. After wearing the patch for a while, I felt a slight burning sensation in the applied area. Although I didn't experience any redness or blemishes as mentioned earlier, this warmth beyond the initial cooling effect was a bit concerning. I'm not sure why this happened - my mom didn't have the same experience when she used it, so it might vary from person to person. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 6, 2023
I tried eye patches for the first time after winning The Hwahae Testers giveaway. After applying and removing them at the right time, I immediately felt a surge of hydration and a plump sensation. As the product description suggested, I found it beneficial to use not just around the eyes but also on specific areas. It was especially effective for my typically dry mouth area, offering a more convenient solution than sheet masks for addressing dryness. I found myself using them frequently. It's a bit inconvenient to separate each patch with the spatula. Due to the material's properties, they tend to crumble and tear when applying slight pressure. The scent was reminiscent of men's toner. These patches are great for targeted use on specific facial areas beyond just the eyes. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMar 6, 2023
The thick, jelly-like texture felt cool and refreshing when applied under my eyes. As someone who isn't particularly sensitive to fragrances, I found the scent quite pleasant. After use, I could definitely feel a plumping effect, with hydration being absorbed from deep within, which was very satisfying. Even after removing the patches, instead of feeling dry, my skin felt moisturized with a perfect balance of oil coating to lock in the hydration. This was great! I typically use these as part of my routine: after cleansing, I apply a toner pack (or exfoliating toner), followed by serum, then these eye patches, and finish with a sleeping pack on the rest of my face. If I had to nitpick, the product is so slippery that it's difficult to scoop out with the provided spoon. When trying to take just one patch, several stick together, and they're so slick that they keep slipping away just as you think you've got a hold of them. It can be a bit frustrating. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 6, 2023
It's so easy to use! After cleansing and applying my basic skincare routine, I put these patches around my eyes and mouth. They don't fall off or slide down, so I could move around without worry. I've tried similar mask patches before and they worked well for me. Just like those, when I remove these, my skin feels wonderfully hydrated. The only slight inconvenience is having to use a spoon to scoop it out. Other than that, I'm using it quite happily. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 6, 2023
Experience This was my first time trying eye patches, and I must say, the cooling effect was amazing! The eye area tends to dry out easily due to thin sebaceous glands, and now that I'm in my 30s, I felt that eye cream alone wasn't enough. Applying these patches to my eye area made it feel so much more hydrated, which I loved. Texture You know those face masks with a thicker silicone-like texture? Think of these as a miniature version of those. The patch has a delightfully bouncy and elastic feel! Effectiveness I have pretty severe dark circles, but the cooling effect seemed to brighten up my eye area a bit by reducing the temperature. My eye area feels wonderfully moisturized to the touch! With collagen as an ingredient, I think using these regularly could lead to even better results. I tried these with my mom, and she absolutely loved them too! Due to the thicker texture, I found that if you apply these after using eye cream, they tend to slip down, which was a bit inconvenient. However, they stay put when lying down, so they'd be perfect to use before bed. I noticed that the patches get thinner as you wear them. Instead of just putting them on for a short time, I found that leaving them on until they thin out made my skin feel even more hydrated!
