As someone who spent their super sensitive skin 20s relying on Cetaphil's Gentle Skin Cleanser, Body Wash, and Cream, I can attest to how they helped restore my skin health. Thanks to them, I now have facial skin that can handle almost any product! When it comes to eye creams (which often come bundled in skincare sets), I've found that the delicate eye area can be quite picky - too rich a formula can cause issues. That's why I highly recommend Cetaphil's Optimal Hydration Refreshing Eye Serum. I once saw a Cetaphil slogan that said, 'When the #1 brand creates it, the results are bound to be different,' and I truly believe this company pours their expertise into developing products that soothe the skin. While the eye cream's volume is understandably smaller than regular emulsions or serums, the applicator is absolutely genius. It has a silicone tip perfect for massaging the sensitive eye area. Plus, the product itself is gentle, absorbs well, and nails both hydration and moisture retention. (If only I could afford to use it all over my face!) The ingredients include low molecular weight hyaluronic acid and blue daisy extract, making it a must-try for those with severe dark circles. As someone who prefers fragrance-free products, this one definitely won me over! I haven't found any drawbacks yet. If I discover any in the future, I'll be sure to update my review. - rk*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 13, 2023
The texture is easy to apply and absorbs quickly. It's not greasy, so there's likely no need to worry about blemishes appearing. The amount is small, and the cap needs to be pulled off rather than twisted, which is a bit inconvenient. The lightweight formula might not be sufficient for dry skin types or those over 30. - sh*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 9, 2022
It has Cetaphil's signature scent and is a non-irritating product. Those who dislike Cetaphil's distinctive cream smell might want to avoid it, though I found it almost fragrance-free. It's more of a cream than a serum. It applies smoothly and works well when spread over the entire face. However, I was surprised when only a clear liquid came out at first - I wondered if I needed to shake it before use. While it has a silicone tip, the feeling against the skin isn't particularly pleasant, so I end up squeezing it out and applying it with my hands. - au********Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 9, 2022
It doesn't irritate my eyes and feels comfortable. I usually can't use eye creams due to my sensitive eyes, but with this one, I didn't experience any stinging at all. You can feel the cream absorbing well without sitting on top of the skin. I can't find any downsides. Start preventing eye wrinkles early. You'll deeply regret it when you get older if you don't. The soft silicone tip makes it super clean and easy to dispense the cream around the eye area with gentle tapping motions. - je********Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 8, 2022
It's so convenient and easy to use! I find myself reaching for it often because of how simple it is. It's moisturizing without being sticky. Although it's called a serum, think of it more as an emulsion - like a cream mixed with serum. The amount feels slightly on the smaller side. I received this as part of a testing panel, so I didn't purchase it directly, but after looking up the regular and sale prices, I'd hesitate to buy it at full price. It absorbs well and is super convenient when applied after toner, before the serum step! - fr*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 5, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

As someone sensitive to fragrances, I appreciated that it's unscented. The instant cooling effect upon application was also a plus. I tend to avoid eye creams that are too rich, so I liked that this one felt more hydrating than oily. It's not bulky or heavy, making it perfect for travel - you can easily tuck it in your makeup bag and apply it frequently on the go. The amount feels a bit small, and I'm not used to the pull-off cap instead of a screw-top, which I keep trying to twist out of habit. While I don't have any specific tips, I can say that the texture absorbs well when you apply a generous amount around the eyes and gently pat it in. - yo********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 5, 2022
The cream absorbs smoothly and doesn't cause any irritation, which is great. I can even apply it generously around my eyes without experiencing any stinging. When I slather it on before bed, my skin stays hydrated until the next morning. Unfortunately, it tends to cause pilling when I apply makeup over it. Even though it seems to absorb well, there's still a bit of pilling, which is somewhat disappointing. - ri********Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 5, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It has an emulsion-like texture that spreads easily and glides on smoothly. The applicator tip makes it hygienic. No need to scoop product with your fingers. Though the tip looks narrow, when you tilt and press it like a highlighter pen, the product flows out smoothly and in sufficient quantity. It absorbs well, causing no irritation around the eyes. The product itself is gentle, and since the eye area has delicate skin, it's best to use minimal pressure. The short applicator reduces hand-induced stress, which is great. With its low rich feel, it seems less likely to cause blemishes around the eyes. Considering the price range for eye care products, I'd say this is reasonably priced. While there aren't any significant drawbacks, it's not particularly suitable for addressing existing wrinkles. - ab*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 4, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Applying the eye serum around my eyes definitely made my skin feel firmer, and I noticed less tightness even when I smile a lot. I also loved that it comes in a tube, making it easy to apply directly to the eye area. As with most eye serums, I was a bit disappointed by the small size of the product. I tried it around my eyes and loved it, so I think it would be great for lips too during winter. I'm currently using it on both my eye and mouth areas. - 00****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 3, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Its strength lies in how it leaves your skin feeling hydrated after application. You shouldn't have to worry about milia with this product. The silicone tip is thoughtfully designed, making application a breeze. It's a bit disappointing that phenoxyethanol is used as a preservative. As someone who likes to apply eye cream generously, I find the quantity a bit lacking. Since I've only used it for a few days, I can't speak to any dramatic effects yet, so I'll need to use it longer before deciding on repurchasing. It does seem a bit pricey though. Given its serum-like consistency, I follow up with a moisturizing cream after applying this product.
