But after using this for over a month, I've noticed my pores are less noticeable - seems like it's actually effective for pore care! Plus, the dead skin cells that used to flake off excessively whenever I applied makeup, regardless of the base I used, have significantly reduced. Texture and Finish: It has a light, watery essence texture that absorbs quickly and well. It doesn't cause any pilling with makeup. The finish is so refreshingly light that it makes me want to keep applying it. Scent: I didn't notice any particular fragrance - it seems unscented to me. Packaging: The pump dispenser makes it easy to apply. The bottle is lightweight, fits comfortably in one hand, and has a simple, appealing design.

  I bought the Real Barrier Extreme Cream and it came with a small gratis sample. I tried it, but it fell short of my expectations. Given that my skin typically reacts sensitively to products for oily skin or pores, I suppose this outcome was inevitable. Hydration: While it might be suitable for those with oily skin or for light summer use, as someone with combination dehydrated skin, I found it too drying. The finish, however, is fresh and lightweight!

  Blemishes: After using it twice, my cheeks started to itch, and a couple of small pimples appeared. Unfortunately, it doesn't suit my skin.

  The essence has a slightly runny consistency. It absorbs exceptionally well. After application, it feels fresh and smooth without any stickiness.

  It sinks in and feels moisturizing at first, but then there's a tightening sensation. True to its name as a 'lock essence', it gives a firming effect. This might make your skin feel dry and taut.

  Tip

  I'm not sure if the tightening feeling is due to the firming effect or because it's drying, but there is a noticeable tightness. If you have dry skin, it's best to layer a hydrating essence or moisturizer on top. I applied this to my son who has oily, acne-prone skin, and it seems to have significantly reduced his overnight oil production.

The texture is like a runny gel, and while the color isn't particularly appealing, it absorbs well into the skin. It's smooth to apply, feels fresh, and doesn't leave any sticky residue.   First off, the texture is exactly the type of light essence I love - not sticky at all and absorbs quickly. It's perfect for layering under cream. While it might be too light to use alone, I have oily skin even in winter, so I prefer a fresh essence when I want to add more cream. It's also very gentle, which I appreciate. I have sensitive skin, but despite containing exfoliating ingredients, it doesn't cause any irritation. It's super mild! Pore essences usually need consistent long-term use to see noticeable results, so I'll need to keep using it. But I'm satisfied so far because the flaky skin that usually appears on my cheeks and between my brows in winter has reduced a bit since I started using this. With no irritation and some reduction in dead skin cells, I plan to continue using it. I'll update again in a month!

I gently pressed it into my skin using the warmth from my palms to help it absorb.
