As someone with acne-prone skin, I'm thrilled that this soap contains houttuynia cordata. The foam is incredibly rich and creamy! According to the instructions, you can even use the lather as a mask, and I noticed it had a calming effect on my skin. Usually, I wake up with an excessively oily face, but after using this soap, my skin feels refreshingly clean. I love it! There's not really anything negative to say. Maybe just that you need to be a bit careful with storage since it's a bar soap? For best results, follow the instructions and work up a thick, creamy lather. I mainly used this in the morning since I need to remove my makeup in the evening! After using it for 3 weeks, I feel like it's really helping with my pores. My makeup goes on better too. The fact that you can do a 30-second mask while cleansing is great for busy college students like me during exam periods. Above all, the rich, creamy lather made me feel like I was really taking care of my skin! I loved that it came in a package with a cleanser, bubble net, and a small soap. I've been using the whole package for my morning cleansing routine, either with the cleanser or the soap with the foam net. Given the nature of soap, I wonder if it might be slightly acidic, which was a bit disappointing. It could be a little drying for those with extremely dry skin. I won this product from Hwahae and here's my honest review after using it! Using it with a foam net creates rich, creamy lather with great cleansing effectiveness. It leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean, which I love. The fresh lemon scent is absolutely delightful too. What I really appreciate is how it leaves my skin feeling hydrated after washing. Even while I'm drying my hair, I don't experience any dryness - it's fantastic! Despite containing many soothing ingredients, there must have been something that didn't agree with my skin. From the second day of use, I started experiencing a sudden outbreak of blemishes. I thought it was strange, but initially dismissed it as heat-related. However, I continued using it, and soon my entire face was covered in blemishes! When I stopped using it, just in case, the breakouts started to subside. I won this in a Hwahae event and I'm writing a review because it exceeded my expectations! You know how everyone's using low pH cleansers these days, right? I have combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes, so I've always stuck to gentle, low pH cleansers. While low pH cleansers are less irritating, I always felt like my skin wasn't thoroughly cleansed after washing, and they didn't help control excess oil. After using this Houttuynia Cordata soap for about two weeks, my acne has significantly calmed down and my textured skin has greatly improved! I plan to purchase this product myself once I finish the one I received from the event. I highly recommend this to those struggling with acne, oily skin, or combination dehydrated skin! Being in soap form makes it inconvenient to carry when traveling or on the go. I wish it was also available as a foam cleanser.

For an extra rich lather, try rubbing the soap inside the mesh bag under water - it creates an amazingly abundant foam that's a joy to use. For an extra pampering experience, I sometimes leave the rich lather on my skin for 1-2 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water. I won this product in an event and tried it out. Using a foam net, the lather was incredibly rich and soft. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by the gentle cleansing that didn't cause any irritation. The finish was also great, leaving my skin feeling comfortable without any tightness. Without a foam net, the soap produces a very soft, mild lather. I highly recommend using a foam net with this product. If you use a foam net and work up a lather vigorously, you'll create a rich, creamy foam. After cleansing, you can easily clean the foam net under running water for hygienic maintenance.

Despite my sensitive skin, I've been using it without any blemishes. It's just like a common beauty soap with limitations in cleansing and preventing dryness. Though it's said to work as a bubble pack, it seems more irritating, so I only use it for morning cleansing. No foam net included. Doesn't lather well, so a foam net is necessary!

After using it, I experienced less tightness, though there's still a bit. What I love most is how well it cleanses sebum. The ingredients are well-rounded, containing all my favorite components. I've tried various foam cleansers for my chin acne, but this one seemed to noticeably reduce inflammation and blemishes. Now I only have some scars left, and even if a pimple or two pops up, they quickly subside. I think it's all thanks to this soap! There's a slight tightness after use. Also, while the soap net creates a good lather, the foam disappears as you roll it on your face. I'm not sure if this happens with other soaps as I haven't used them before, but the cleansing effectiveness is definitely there. I was thrilled to win the product in an event, and it even came with a foam net! After using it once, I noticed my skin looked clearer and cleaner. It provided decent hydration and was particularly effective in tightening pores. The only downside was that my skin felt a bit tight before applying toner and moisturizer. Make good use of the foam net for best results.
