Pretty decent... For a vitamin ampoule, it didn't cause any blemishes Some people say it doesn't suit them, but I didn't experience anything like that And the absorption! While some say pure vitamin products don't apply well, in my opinion, it wasn't that bad Just pat it in gently and follow up with a cream for better results, right? I haven't seen dramatic effects yet...! I'm writing this review when I'm almost done with the bottle To be honest, even lasers struggle to improve dark spots, so what can we expect? Wondering if I should buy two more bottles and keep using it? Haven't seen any significant results so far But I wouldn't go as far as to not recommend it I guess that's just how these things are... Haha, brightening effects Are always quite subtle, aren't they? I keep it in the refrigerator I don't apply it during the day, just use it for nighttime skincare It works even better when used with Retinol! - wk*******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 7, 2025
For oily skin, 13 is less sticky and more comfortable to use. While 23 has better ingredients than 13, those who prefer a moisturizing collagen-like feel should opt for 23. The numbers 13 and 23 likely refer to different shades or formulations of a cosmetic product, possibly a foundation or BB cream. The review compares these two options for different skin types and preferences. - eh*******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJun 6, 2025
When I apply my skincare routine diligently before bed and finish with this vitamin serum, my skin feels hydrated and my complexion looks a bit brighter the next morning! It gives a sense of refining the skin texture too! Since I have thin skin, I felt a slight tingling sensation, but it wasn't a major issue. Storing it in the refrigerator is great for preservation and allows you to use it for a longer time! - wj********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 4, 2025
I have acne scars on my cheeks, tend to experience skin flushing, and my complexion is around shade 22-23. The Scent: When you first open the product, there's a slight "pop" sound, which is normal! For the first 1-2 weeks of use, there's a bit of a pungent scent. However, this is due to the ingredients and gradually fades over time. The Color: Initially, it has a slightly yellowish tint and appears clear overall. As you use it, it seems to oxidize and gradually turns more yellow. That's why vitamin products typically have about a month of effectiveness after opening. Skin Sensitivity: It's very gentle! Even when applied on days when my skin is super sensitive, it doesn't cause any burning sensation or redness. I switched from using No. 23 to No. 13 after hearing that No. 23 doesn't fully absorb into the skin. After using it for nearly a month, I can say there's not much difference between the two. Results: There's hardly any brightening effect (I've used at least 3 bottles of both No. 23 and No. 13). However, it truly smooths out skin texture and creates a luminous glow. It makes your skin look absolutely beautiful! There's not really anything to complain about. If I had to pick something, maybe the initial scent when you first start using it? The Hwahae Testers would likely appreciate this detailed review, especially the insights on absorption and the long-term effects on skin texture. The mention of the product's gentle nature even on super sensitive skin days is particularly valuable information for those with blemish-prone or reactive skin types. The observation about the oxidation process and its impact on color could be helpful for managing expectations about the product's appearance over time. - p9********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 1, 2025
Product: COSRX The Vitamin C 13 Serum Skin Type: Combination dehydrated + Sensitive Purpose: Improving hyperpigmentation My experience: After reading rave reviews about its effectiveness in improving hyperpigmentation, I had high hopes when I purchased this serum. I'm pleased to say it lived up to my expectations, especially in fading blemish marks. Within days of use, I noticed my complexion looked slightly more even and radiant, and I could see a visible reduction in dull areas. The serum worked hard on improving my skin tone and clearing up dark spots. I was relieved to find that it didn't cause any breakouts or clog my pores, which can sometimes happen with potent treatments. Pros: • Excellent for fading hyperpigmentation and blemish marks • Noticeably evens out skin tone and adds radiance • Doesn't trigger acne or congested skin Cons: • May cause irritation for those with sensitive skin • Can lead to redness and a slight tingling sensation upon application • Better suited for nighttime use and occasional rather than daily application Overall assessment: While I highly recommend this serum for those seeking effective results in tackling hyperpigmentation, I'd advise caution for those with super sensitive skin. A patch test is absolutely essential before incorporating it into your skincare routine. As someone with sensitive skin, I experienced some redness and a slight burning sensation after application. I found it necessary to follow up with soothing skincare, which made daily use a bit challenging. Despite these minor setbacks, the visible improvements in my skin tone and the fading of dark spots make this serum a worthwhile addition to my skincare arsenal. Just remember to use it judiciously and perhaps start with less frequent applications to gauge your skin's tolerance. - eh*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinMay 28, 2025
It wasn't particularly impressive or disappointing, to be honest. Sometimes after using it, I noticed small blemishes appearing. I think it might have happened on days when my skin was more sensitive. - ko*******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 25, 2025
I noticed an improvement in my skin's pigmentation issues. My complexion seems to have brightened up a bit too! Sometimes when I apply it before bed, I wake up to find yellow stains on my pillowcase and sheets. - ho*******Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 19, 2025
Vitamin C, yet it was not irritating and easy to use. I used it on my body, and while there was no effect in terms of fading discoloration, it was manageable to use without any irritation. Of course, it was meant to be applied to the face, but since I applied it to my body, the amount used was greater, and it seems I was only able to use it for about a week. I'm a special case, and the amount seems appropriate for using it on my face. Applying vitamin C and body lotion left my skin moisturized without any stickiness. - wi********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 8, 2025
After using a retinol ampoule at night and applying only basic skincare products in the morning after cleansing, people I meet have been saying my face looks darker. I thought retinol might not suit me, so I've been using this product with a lower vitamin C concentration of 13%. Initially, I was worried about irritation (since vitamin C is acidic and can cause sensitivity), so I applied a skin booster before trying the vitamin C for one day. I didn't experience any irritation, so from the second day onwards, I've been applying it multiple times on bare skin after cleansing, using a rolling motion. It's been a week now, and I haven't felt any tingling or irritation. The absorption is good, and I appreciate that they seem to have added vitamin E to prevent easy oxidation. Also, while vitamin C is said to dry out the face, it doesn't feel drying or tight, probably due to the hyaluronic acid content, which I also like. It's been a week since I started using it, and while I don't have any eye irritation or pain, I can see two blemishes that look like red pimples on my face. They're not itchy or stinging though. I apply this instead of toner after cleansing. Since it's recommended to leave some time before applying emulsion, I roll it on and layer it multiple times. - gi******Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 4, 2025
First off, I used this as part of my nighttime routine 4-5 times a week for about 5 weeks. I had previously used a higher concentration product from the same line, around 23% I believe. I generally have resilient skin and rarely experience irritation from skincare products, except when my skin barrier is compromised. However, the high-concentration vitamin product did cause some irritation, so I opted for this lower concentration version. There was definitely a noticeable difference - unlike the higher concentration product, this one caused no irritation whatsoever. For me, it wasn't just less irritating; it felt completely gentle on my skin. Plus, while subtle, it did have a positive effect on my blemish marks. Naturally, since the concentration is lower than what I was using before, I didn't notice as dramatic an effect on my blemish marks. I remember the higher concentration product really helping to fade my acne scars, but this one only slightly diminishes them. As a result, I still need to use concealer to cover some of the darker marks. For me, I think it might be worth dealing with the irritation of the higher concentration product for better results. Also, while I find vitamin C effective for fading blemish marks, I've never noticed it making my overall complexion brighter, and this product was no exception. If you're looking for something to give your skin a radiant glow, you might want to consider other options.
