I used to use the Hwahae pack well, but since it was discontinued, I couldn't find the mud pack. I liked the mud pack with a large capacity for the price. The spreadability is very smooth and the granules inside are not rough, so it doesn't seem to irritate the skin much. The container that you squeeze out is hygienic. After cleansing, the face becomes soft and it seems to be good for improving skin texture. The scent was also a pleasant herbal scent. It's a decent product for the price, but it doesn't suit my skin, so I'll give it to another family member. It's a shame it doesn't work for my skin. This product was also too irritating on my face as soon as I applied it :( It's not because of the granules inside, but the product itself doesn't seem to suit me :( I had to rinse it off immediately. It applies more thinly and smoothly when applied with a brush-like product rather than with the hands. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 21, 2024
As a mud mask enthusiast, I decided to give this a try despite some questionable ingredients. It's a wash-off mask, and the rest of the formulation with kaolin, tea tree, and centella asiatica seemed promising. However, the ethanol... sigh. The tea tree oil scent is quite strong, and if you apply the mask too close to your eyes, it might sting and make them water. As the mask dries, you can feel it tightening on your skin, which personally makes me feel like it's doing its job. Some might find this sensation a bit intense. While I didn't notice any visible brightening effects, I did feel it was effective in removing excess oil and clearing out pores. Isn't ethanol an ingredient we're trying to avoid these days? If it's added for a cooling effect, I think the product would be much better without it. Those with sensitive or thin skin might experience redness after using this mask. While the irritation isn't severe, it can occur. I'd advise against using this if you have thin skin or are prone to redness. When it's time to wash off, the mask doesn't rinse away easily - you need to take your time cleaning it off. The dried leaf-like particles in the mask are too large and rough for exfoliation during rinsing, which is annoying and makes me wonder about their purpose. It's best not to apply this too close to your eyes, or you'll be hit with that strong tea tree scent. After using the mask, it's a good idea to follow up with a soothing mask or essence to calm any potential heat in the skin. I personally apply aloe gel afterwards. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinMar 29, 2024
1. Value for money Daiso products never fail to deliver on affordability. Being able to manage your pores for just $5 is truly a blessing! 2. Smooth application The formula glides on incredibly smoothly without dripping, making it super convenient to apply. 3. Scent The fragrance isn't overwhelming at all - it just has that typical cosmetic smell. 1. Extremely difficult to wash off It seems to take three times longer to remove than it does to apply. It's frustratingly hard to wash off, which is quite inconvenient. 2. Dries quickly While this might not be a clear disadvantage, it dries and cracks rapidly. I always found it challenging to wait for the damp areas, so I ended up washing it all off after just 10 minutes. Make sure to apply a thicker layer around the perimeter of your face. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 1, 2024
It effectively removes dead skin cells and is very affordable. Of course, my skin might be less sensitive than others... I have dry skin with small blemishes. The scent is just typical for a mud mask. There's nothing particularly bad to mention... They're asking me to write at least 20 characters... All mud masks seem pretty similar to me... - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 17, 2024
There's a slight cooling effect which is great for reducing skin heat! It has these little herbal granules inside, so when you massage it while cleansing, it feels like it's exfoliating dead skin cells too! The scent is a strong herbal fragrance. Cleansing is such a struggle... You have to rub and scrub multiple times with warm water to barely get it off. If it gets on your clothes and you leave it, it's really hard to remove! Make sure to wash it off immediately if it gets on fabric! It's perfect to apply over serums or ampoules to help them absorb better. As for the mask's own effects... I'm not quite sure. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 29, 2023
I expected the mud pack to have an unpleasant scent, but it surprisingly had a mild, herbal aroma. The moisturizing texture absorbs well, and I felt a refreshing tightening sensation on my pores. The only downside is the small size. I wish it came in a larger volume as I feel like I'll use it up quickly. After thoroughly cleansing your face, apply the mask evenly and generously.
