Overall impression: A cream that's lacking in both oil and moisture, with panthenol in name only. I loved the toner from the same line, so I naturally assumed the cream would be good too and purchased it. After using it on my face for 2 months, I found the product performance to be underwhelming, so now I just apply it to my neck before bed. [Positive points] 1. The 80ml size offers a generous amount of product. 2. It's fragrance-free, making it comfortable to apply without any concerns. 3. It's formulated with skin-friendly ingredients. 4. The tube packaging is great - you can cut it open and use every last bit of the product. 5. It's good for applying to the neck. Since it lacks both oil and moisture, it doesn't feel sticky on the neck, so your hair won't stick to it. The advertisement claims 200 hours of soothing and moisturizing effects, improving skin tightness, deep hydration, and skin moisture levels all at once - but I'm skeptical. The texture feels soft and moist, giving the impression of good hydration right after application. However, within minutes, the skin starts to feel dry, pores become more noticeable, and you can observe sebum forming in the pores. As a result, instead of giving the skin a dewy glow and moisture, it makes the skin look dull, and fine lines around the eyes and mouth become more pronounced. After using this product alone for about two weeks, I was shocked. It felt too wasteful to throw away, so I mixed it with Cicabio Pommade cream for a month and a half. Now I'm just using it on my neck. It was far from sufficient to provide hydration for someone in their 40s. Even though I don't have extremely dry skin, this product's moisturizing power was inadequate for me. This product seemed to lack not only moisture but also oil, and when I used it alone, I developed inflammatory acne, so I stopped using it by itself. I regret that I was too busy during the time I was using this product to take any photos of my skin condition. I won't be repurchasing this. I'll have to diligently apply what's left to my neck. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 5, 2024
I was really looking forward to this after being so satisfied with the panthenol toner. As someone in their 40s with dry skin prone to deep dryness and occasional stubborn, deep-seated blemishes due to easily clogged pores, I found this helpful for my dryness. It's great as a neck cream. It's especially beneficial for my husband who has extremely dry, thin skin. Unfortunately, compared to other well-known creams with panthenol, I didn't notice much improvement and found it quite rich. It also seemed to clog my pores a bit. Recommended for those lacking both oil and moisture balance - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinSep 21, 2024
I bought this for the harsh winter dryness, and wow, the hydration is truly outstanding! That's what I loved about it. The downside is, since I have oily skin, if I apply too much, it seems to clog my pores. I even noticed a couple of blemishes popping up. So especially in summer, I've found I need to be careful with how much I use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 24, 2024
I bought this to try a new product as I was running out of my usual cream. I used it as a night cream and loved how it applied - not heavy at all, but light and moisturizing. It might be a bit too light for winter though, so I'll probably need to layer it two or three times. It's too light to use on its own, so I tried applying a thin layer of a light soothing cream before this emulsion. However, it ended up feeling way too oily. I thought it might be because of the combination with the soothing cream, but it's the same even when I use it with a serum. It's not just the typical oiliness you feel after applying a cream - when you touch your skin, it feels like you've poured oil on it. It doesn't feel heavy, but it's so oily that I'm worried it might clog my pores. I've only used it for two days so I haven't experienced any blemishes yet, but I'm anxious about my skin potentially breaking out. I'm not sure if this level of oiliness is normal for everyone, but if you find that it feels like you've applied straight oil rather than an emulsion, keep a close eye on your skin condition while using it! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 23, 2023
As someone with extremely sensitive, dry, and dehydrated skin that gets super tight and flaky from fall onwards, I've always struggled to find the right moisturizer. Rich creams often lead to milia, even with good ingredients, so I've been settling for mediocre hydration and unresolved deep dryness. I had high hopes for this cream, marketed as a hydration specialist. True to form, like other rich creams, it initially caused my pores to open up and some milia to appear. However, I don't think this is due to the product being irritating for sensitive skin, but rather because the rich texture is a bit much for my skin type. While it reaffirmed that such rich creams aren't ideal for me, I was impressed by how moisturizing and gentle it felt. Here's how I figured this out: When my skin started feeling tight in the afternoon, I'd apply a thin layer of this cream. Instead of leaving it on long enough to cause milia, I'd cleanse early in the evening. The moment I applied it, I could feel my deep dryness improving. So I started using it like a spot treatment for dry patches, leaving it on for a few hours. This instantly soothed any uncomfortable tightness. In my opinion, if you're like me with sensitive skin prone to milia from rich textures, you might want to avoid this. However, those with very dry skin who don't usually break out might find this to be a satisfying moisturizer. The texture is lovely - it feels soft, not overly sticky, and leaves a fresh finish. The packaging is beautiful too. As mentioned earlier, rich creams tend to make my pores visibly larger and cause milia - which is exactly what happened with this product. So for me, it's a bit too rich. However, this is more about my skin type than the cream itself. Looking at the product objectively, I'd say it's highly recommendable for those with dry skin. It feels gentle yet potent. When your skin feels extremely dehydrated, try applying this on bare skin like you would a healing ointment - it instantly soothes that uncomfortable tightness! For those prone to milia from rich textures, I recommend using it like a treatment a few hours before your evening cleanse. For those with very dry skin, I'd simply recommend it outright! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinOct 11, 2023
After 6 months of use: This has become my go-to product. It's been incredibly effective for skin recovery. However, during seasonal changes and winter, it can be quite drying, so I've been using it alongside an oil or the Dokdo Emulsion. 19-day review (9/23~10/11): This moisturizer did a great job calming my skin that had become sensitive and dry after summer. The cream is quite thick, so at first, I was concerned it might not provide enough deep hydration. I maintained my usual skincare routine focused on hydration and soothing (One Thing Centella > Cellbien Toner Wash > Renew Pore Shooter Ampoule > Sidmool Tea Tree Essential), and added the Manyo Factory Panthenol Cream. It's been perfect for the changing seasons. I'm not sure how it'll perform in the dead of winter, but so far, it's been great without causing dryness. It provides excellent moisture and skin protection, significantly improving skin texture and adding a hydrated feel. I didn't notice at first, but comparing photos from day 1 to today, I can see a big difference. I highly recommend this for those with thin skin needing to strengthen their skin barrier! Why does this product keep getting reformulated? The ingredients have changed so much since I first used it, with more and more pore-clogging ingredients being added. I've repurchased twice, but with the ingredients changing so drastically, I think it's time to move on. The texture is a bit thick, so it takes some effort to apply on the face. To reduce skin friction, you need to use more cream than usual. I'm slightly allergic to propanediol, which can cause texture issues with prolonged use, and unfortunately, this ingredient is included in the formula. While it used to be a highly recommended product, the frequent reformulations have made it difficult to expect the same effectiveness as before.
