  The adorable milk bottle-like design is so cute! The lid is such a pretty blue... I have sensitive combination skin, but in cold winters like now, it feels closer to combination dehydrated skin. I usually apply 2-3 layers of watery toner, but this one has enough hydration that one application feels sufficient! The texture is right between a watery toner and a viscous one, and while it doesn't leave a completely fresh finish, it's a toner that dry skin types would likely enjoy! When applied, it gives the skin a plump, dewy glow that's so beautiful.

  However, the dispenser doesn't seem to match well with the formula. Even when tapping it, the product doesn't come out easily and just leaks from the sides. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to suit my skin as I'm getting some redness and irritation. For reference, I have sensitive skin that often reacts with redness to many cosmetics... Those without sensitive skin like mine might be able to use it well.

  For a toner, it has a nice viscosity that worked well for my combination dehydrated skin. I see from the reviews that it suits many people, though unfortunately it didn't work out for me.

  I started using this product immediately after receiving it, incorporating it into my existing skincare routine. Today marks the 6th day of use, but I've decided to discontinue. Unfortunately, I suddenly began experiencing stinging and itching today. Out of curiosity, I checked the Hwahae reviews and found that most negative feedback mentioned similar symptoms to mine. Typically, my skin lacks hydration, leading to clogged pores, small bumps, and occasional whiteheads - usually no more than one or two per month. However, this week I've developed three pustules, making me suspect this product might be the cause.

  The hydration is fantastic. It's neither too light nor too heavy. The product absorbs well into the skin.

  Cons

  For super sensitive skin, it seems too irritating. At first, it seemed fine, but the more I used it, the more it caused tingling, redness, and a burning sensation. After about a week of use, the irritation became severe, so I had to stop.

  Tip

  I really don't recommend this for extremely sensitive skin, but if you still want to try it, I suggest doing a patch test first.

  Overall, this is a dense, essence-like toner made with gentle ingredients. True to its 'essence toner' name, it has a thick, opaque texture reminiscent of an essence. Despite this, it doesn't sit on the skin or leave an oily residue. Instead, it instantly quenches dry skin with hydration. I patted it in twice, and the moisturizing effect seemed to last quite a while. If it had suited my skin better, it would have been perfect for seasonal changes or winter use. Such a shame it didn't work for me.

  I've been using Manyo Factory's cleansing oil and essence for years, so I confidently signed up for their new product event. However, there must be an ingredient that doesn't agree with my sensitive skin because it started burning immediately upon application. Despite not seeing any particularly harsh ingredients, and usually being fine with retinol, this toner made my face feel hot from day one. I tried to persevere, thinking it might be my skin condition, but the burning sensation intensified, turning into a stinging pain, and my skin reacted badly. I had to stop using it. I'd strongly advise checking for any potentially irritating ingredients before use.

  Tip

  For those with very dry skin, this toner's texture and hydrating properties make it ideal for layering multiple times or applying a generous amount in a massage-like motion for maximum effectiveness.
