My skin is typically combination dehydrated, but it's been extra dry lately due to winter! 💘 The gel texture doesn't slide off my face 💘 It feels deeply hydrating 💘 I think it's helping improve my skin barrier because I haven't had any blemishes! 💘 The packaging is super convenient It automatically refills when you close the lid, which is so handy! After applying this, I layered a brightening serum (liquid type) on top, but they don't seem to work well together - it became incredibly sticky! Even with just two layers, it feels sticky! Because of this, my makeup tends to pill. Bummer! So I've decided to only use it at night! If you use multiple serums, I'd recommend applying liquid-type serums first before using this product! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinFeb 9, 2023
Pump bottle: Doesn't drip, so you can carry it around with peace of mind when on the go. Texture: It has a runny consistency, but the absorption is great! Gentleness: Even with my super sensitive skin, I didn't get any blemishes. I've realized how important ingredients really are. Price: While I like it overall, it seems a bit expensive. The amount is small for that price - is it worth it? I'm not sure. Hydration: It feels moisturizing when first applied, but becomes dry within a few hours, so using it alone might be risky. Right after applying when it's still moist, generously layer on Physiogel Daily Emulsion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 9, 2023
I got to try this as part of The Hwahae Testers. You can twist it open and a button pops up, allowing you to use it like a dropper. The texture is just right - not too runny, not too thick, making it easy to apply. At night, I simply apply it to my skin before bed. It prevents any feeling of dryness or tightness (usually in winter, my skin feels tight with just Dr.G cream). I didn't notice any particular scent, but if you really sniff closely, there's a slight tang? Not noticeable when applying to the face. During use, I didn't experience any blemishes or adverse reactions (used morning and night). If anything, my skin felt smoother! While one pump is usually enough, it's not easy to dispense more when you want to. The packaging is pretty, but not very practical for use. After application, it leaves a slightly sticky feeling. That's why I used it with a light moisturizer. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinFeb 7, 2023
Price: At 49,000 won for 50ml, it's nearly twice the price of my usual products, which is a bit steep. Texture: Not quite watery, but has a slightly rich consistency. It doesn't drip when applied to the back of your hand and tilted. Application: The slightly rich texture makes it feel smooth and substantial when applied. It glides on very gently! Personally, I prefer lighter textures, but this one is medium-weight. Absorption: It absorbs quickly! You don't need to pat it in for ages or fan your face - it sinks in fast. Once absorbed, there's no stickiness at all! After applying, I thought 'This feels familiar' - it's like that soft, supple feeling you get after using a sheet mask! That slightly hydrated and velvety sensation! Dryness: Until a year or two ago, I didn't feel dry even with just toner and emulsion, but recently I've been experiencing deep dryness even with multiple skincare steps. Even using toner-serum-emulsion-oil and misting with oil throughout the day, I still felt dry. But with this ampoule, I definitely felt less dryness! I'm not sure if it's due to the richer texture or the ingredients, but it seemed to help with deep dryness. Scent: It's fragrance-free! Some 'unscented' products still have that characteristic unscented smell, but this doesn't. If you really focus, you might detect the faintest hint of a scent, but you'd have to try very hard to notice it! Packaging: Unlike most ampoules/serums that come with a rubber-tipped dropper, this one has a pump mechanism! When you lock the cap, the button goes down, and when you open it, it comes up. You press the button to dispense the product, but... it doesn't come out completely. Also, I'm not sure if this is an intended feature, but if you close and open the cap when the dropper is empty, it automatically refills as the button goes down and up! However, sometimes this doesn't work well, and you might need to twist the cap two or three times to fill it. Also, the container doesn't leak at all even when turned upside down! Even if you tap it in your hand, nothing comes out! Final thoughts: The texture is rich but not sticky and applies smoothly! After application, your skin definitely feels hydrated and velvety! It was also effective for deep dryness! However, the price... Compared to other products, it's on the expensive side for the amount you get, so I probably wouldn't choose to use just this product. Overall, excluding the price, it was definitely a good ampoule! - The price... it's not exactly budget-friendly for the amount you get! - The opaque container makes it hard to see how much product is left! You can see it if you hold it up to the light though! - The dropper always leaves about half the product inside! It doesn't dispense everything... Apart from these, I don't think there are any major downsides to the product itself!
