It's pleasantly moisturizing with good coverage and doesn't cause darkening! The color seemed quite yellow, but when applied, there's no yellow tint. The way it absorbs is especially fantastic. Since it's a hydrating product, after some time, oil starts to surface, making it extremely shiny. Instead of a healthy glow that makes your skin look good, it looks more like excess grease, which can appear a bit messy. - na********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 28, 2025
Personal color: Summer Mute Skin type: Combination (no blemishes) Adherence: Excellent Coverage: Moderate I've been using this for about a month now! The moisturizing formula provides great adherence and works perfectly for me. However, those with oily skin might find it a bit too dewy, so keep that in mind. I've tried both Hince's foundation and cushion, and I find that the glossy formula gives a prettier skin finish compared to the matte one. The price could be a bit lower, though. Since I don't have many blemishes, this worked well for me. If you're looking for high coverage, you might find it a bit lacking. The longevity isn't particularly impressive. While I didn't experience any breakouts, I've noticed many reviews mentioning this issue. I suppose it varies depending on individual skin types. This product seems more suitable for those with dry skin rather than oily skin! For an even prettier complexion, try using it with a beauty blender. - ha******Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessMar 18, 2025
As someone with combination skin who really dislikes touch-ups, I was on the hunt for a base that would last from morning to night. This cushion came highly recommended, so I gave it a try. First off, the staying power is incredible. There's hardly any breakdown, and it barely settles into the creases around my nose. I love that I don't need to touch up (I even worked out wearing this, and it truly didn't budge!). The way it adheres to my skin feels great too! While it's supposed to be semi-glow, it feels more semi-matte to me (which might disappoint if you're expecting a dewy finish). The darkening was definitely noticeable. My skin tone is around 19-21, but when I looked in the mirror in the evening, it matched or was even slightly darker than my natural complexion. It applies quite thick, and controlling the amount is really challenging. I'm not sure if the ingredients don't agree with me, but because it goes on so heavy, my skin got a bit irritated. - lg*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 5, 2025
It blended naturally with my complexion and stayed put without breaking down, which I really appreciated. Since I prefer light makeup, I found the coverage slightly lacking for my taste. - su*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 16, 2025
As someone with combination dehydrated skin on the T-zone and dry skin elsewhere, I prefer the light shade 21. With just a touch of powder on the T-zone, I'm quite satisfied with the overall performance! It's hydrating and doesn't cause any deep dryness, making it the most satisfying glow cushion I've purchased recently. While there's nothing particularly disappointing about how it feels on the skin, the color seems to come out a bit dark. I'd recommend going one shade lighter when purchasing. - do*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 19, 2024
It's moisturizing and has great coverage! Perfect for combination dehydrated and super sensitive skin during the chilly winter weather. The color is a soft peachy tone, but it's not pink-based. If you're looking for a pink base, go for shade 15 Rosy. Being a glow cushion, it's slightly less adherent to the skin and doesn't have the same longevity as a matte cushion. From the Hwahae reviews: For those concerned about dead skin cells being emphasized - exfoliate and layer your skincare products carefully to avoid this issue. For creasing around the eyes and settling into wrinkles - set the eye area with powder to prevent the foundation from creasing. For visible pores or foundation settling into pores - use a primer. - rk*********Dry SkinInner DrynessRecommendedNov 23, 2024
I've always relied on NARS for my extremely dry skin, but recently I've been dealing with hyperpigmentation, so concealer has become a must. I was looking for a product that's moisturizing but also provides decent coverage, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the Hince cushion! I've lost count of how many I've gone through. As you can see in the photo, it maintains a beautiful glow for hours. There's nothing particularly bad to mention. However, since I have extremely dry skin, I'd recommend that people with similar skin types make sure to build a solid skincare base before applying this. I usually wear shade 21 with warm undertones, but for this cushion, I use shade 17. Hince's colors tend to be bright and clear, so if you prefer a lighter complexion, you'll likely be satisfied with shade 17. - go*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 21, 2024
I really love the color of this product. It's not just a bright shade, but one that makes your complexion look clear and radiant. The coverage is quite minimal, so it doesn't conceal blemishes or scars effectively. It would probably work great when used together with a concealer! - fi**********Combination SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedNov 16, 2024
It doesn't cake or darken the skin, just a solid choice overall. Seems like you could use it year-round without any issues. The coverage feels almost non-existent. I'd recommend going up a shade for better results! - ji***********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 15, 2024
It's wonderfully moisturizing! Doesn't emphasize dead skin cells. Feels light when applied - definitely a summer recommendation. The coverage isn't particularly strong, which is a bit disappointing. You might need to use a concealer with it.
