It absorbs really lightly. If you apply the right amount, it absorbs well into the skin. It tends to separate and clump. You need to be very careful when applying your base makeup! It seems like if your base is too thick or too thin, it won't work well. Try to find that sweet spot in between. And make sure to use a primer! Toner pack -> followed by a moderately light cream - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinFeb 22, 2024
It gives your face a glow... (A glow full of oil, mind you) It really just gives you that glow... It's way too oily and doesn't provide any coverage.. Even the slightest touch leaves clumpy marks.. After a month of use: It's so greasy that if you use blotting paper, it immediately absorbs everything, leaving you with a bare face.. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 6, 2023
I've been using this product for about two weeks, and the first thing I noticed is that the puff is incredibly soft, which seems to pair well with the formula. There's also a nice cooling effect. The color is a neutral skin tone, and on my 21 shade skin, it matched perfectly (see photo 1). I liked that it felt moisturizing without being sticky. You really need to apply just the right amount of skincare before using this. If you rush your base routine (using too little), it can make your dead skin cells noticeable (see photo 1). On the other hand, if you layer on too much skincare, it can pill a bit. As someone who prefers easy application, I wasn't completely satisfied. However, it might be great for those days when you want to put in extra effort with your makeup. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinNov 3, 2023
First off, it absorbs well and feels cool and hydrating when applied, which is great. However, despite its name, the finish is closer to semi-matte rather than an intense glow, so keep that in mind. The color isn't too white, but just right. Overall, it adheres well to the skin and I'd recommend it as a really versatile cushion (especially for those with smaller pores). The pore coverage isn't the best. While it covers the butterfly zone well, those with larger pores on the nose might want to consider other cushions or apply it with a brush in that area. Also, when I tried to use this cushion for touch-ups over another foundation, it caused the previous makeup to dissolve and clump. I strongly advise against using it for touch-ups. Don't use for touch-ups, apply with a brush on the nose, consider other cushions if you have large pores - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 3, 2023
First off, I loved how well it absorbed into my skin. The logo inside the cushion gave me a bit of a Hera vibe, which made me think it's a great value product in terms of benchmarking. Although it's called a 'glow cushion', it had more of a powdery feel than the glowy finish I expected. I was worried it might dry out my skin, but surprisingly, it kept my complexion hydrated for a long time. When I first applied it, it sank right into my skin, giving me a smooth, flawless look that I really appreciated. The shade was lighter than my complexion, so as time passed, some areas where it lifted slightly turned a bit grayish and darker, which was disappointing (I imagine this wouldn't be an issue if you use a shade that matches your skin tone). Also, after a while, I noticed it tended to clump a bit around my pores, which was a letdown.... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 1, 2023
The case is luxurious and beautiful. Just a light tap releases plenty of product. Usually, moisturizing products lack coverage, but this one provides quite decent coverage. I have blemish-prone skin, so I prioritize coverage. While it doesn't completely hide dark spots, the overall coverage is good. For a product that's hydrating and offers this level of coverage, I'm satisfied. When you're in a hurry, just pat this cushion on and you're good to go. Due to its moisturizing nature, after some time, it tends to break down slightly and you may notice a bit of caking. The pore coverage is somewhat lacking. Given how hydrating it is, you might need to be more thorough with your base makeup. It works great when you use a primer to smooth out your skin texture before applying! - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 27, 2023
* Subtle glow effect. I was really curious about the Hince Glow Cushion, but when I first used it, I thought 'Huh? Why is this called a glow cushion?' It's incredibly thin, and since I usually use the Espoir Be Natural Cushion, the difference felt even more pronounced. By my standards, it didn't seem to have enough shine to be called 'glow'. However, after some time passed and I looked in the mirror, unlike when I first applied it, there was a noticeable radiance. As time went on, a natural glow developed, which made me even more satisfied! The glow looked really pretty. * Thin texture. The texture was really thin. I've also used the Hince Matte Cushion, and it seemed similar in thinness. It's not a formula that applies thickly. I personally don't like high-coverage products, so I was even more satisfied with this. * Natural coverage. As someone who doesn't prefer high coverage, I liked how it provided thin and natural-looking coverage. That's not to say it's completely sheer though. It provides all the basic coverage you need. * Beautiful color. Usually shade 22 matches my skin tone, and 21 is a bit light, so I use it sparingly on protruding parts of my face for a brighter look. I didn't have a choice this time and had to go with 21. At first, I thought it might be too light, but I decided to give it a try. When I looked in the office bathroom mirror while washing my hands, my face looked beautifully radiant and I thought the color was gorgeous. So I used it again the next day and the day after, and still thought the color was really pretty. The beautiful color combined with the glow was just stunning. * Not ideal for touch-ups. I tend to tone down excessive shine and do a lot of touch-ups throughout the day. I also try to avoid touching the sides of my nose where product tends to settle. With this cushion, it's best to minimize touch-ups. The more you touch up, the more it seems to settle into lines and clump up. It's better to gently wipe off some product and reapply for a much cleaner finish. * When first applying all over the face, it's best to press firmly and spread it out by patting. Rather than the typical light tapping method we're used to, initially pressing and slowly spreading works better. Light tapping at first seemed to leave puff marks. After applying all over, you can finish by lightly tapping in areas where you want a bit more product! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 25, 2023
The biggest advantage is how it adheres thinly to the skin and leaves a pleasantly matte finish. I hardly noticed any darkening, which was an issue with earlier Hince cushions. After using cushions with higher coverage, I can definitely feel how lightly this one sits on my face. The longevity and breakdown are disappointing. Even with dry skin, it starts to separate and crumble after about 4 hours. It was even more noticeable on areas where folliculitis was healing. Despite its lack of staying power, it adheres so thinly that I'll likely continue using it as a second cushion for short outings. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 25, 2023
I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I expected it to be super glowy with little coverage, but it actually adheres well to the skin and provides decent coverage for small blemishes. It's perfect for those quick, easy makeup days. I usually use shade 21 for my skin tone (which is around 22), and I found this to be a bit brighter than expected if I'm not careful with the amount. But when I get the application right, I really like the color, so I find myself reaching for it often. The price point is a bit high, making it less of an impulse buy. Also, after wearing it for a while without touch-ups, I noticed some slight caking and emphasis on skin texture. As we're approaching winter, I've found that with good basic skincare, this product helps achieve a beautiful complexion. - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 24, 2023
For those looking for a glow cushion: If you dislike that 'is it radiance or grease?' shine, but want a subtle, natural glow, If you want a glow cushion with high coverage, I highly recommend this! I have dry skin, but considering it's summer, I thought about trying a matte cushion. However, with the recent weather, it was stressing me out as it looked patchy and pilled. Luckily, I got the chance to be part of the Hince cushion testing group! My first impression was skeptical - it's a glow cushion, but the puff feels like it's for a matte cushion? But as soon as I applied it to my face, all doubts vanished! The color is truly beautiful with high coverage. When first applied, it gives a subtle radiance that makes your skin look great, with a slight cooling effect! It adheres well even in tricky areas like around the nose. I don't usually touch up my makeup, but for regular commute times, it doesn't break down badly and doesn't darken. Being a glow cushion, there can be some patchiness when first applied, but it disappears if you pat it in well! Also, when I tried wearing it all day while traveling (almost 18 hours) without touch-ups, it held up well in oily areas, but in drier areas, it showed some dryness, emphasized dead skin cells, and caked a bit. While any cushion might show these issues after such a long time, for a glow cushion, it's not extremely hydrating (though not matte either!). In the depths of winter, you'll need to ensure a solid skincare base.
