I tried this product because it was recommended for dry skin, but it didn't live up to my expectations. It does go on thinly, though. After using it, I noticed I'm more prone to blemishes. The adherence to the skin is disappointing, and it tends to transfer easily. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 16, 2025
Product name: Hince Second Skin Glow Cushion Skin type: My face tends to get hot. I have combination skin, with excess oil on the T-zone and cheeks, especially in summer. This often leads to blemishes. Experience: It adheres lightly to the skin. As it's a glow cushion, it gave my face a beautiful radiance after application! It's not overly glowy, so it's comfortable to use without feeling excessive. I think it would be great for combination to oily skin types like mine during winter. If you have skin similar to mine, don't use this in summer... You'll witness not a glow, but an oil slick on your face! The coverage isn't as good as expected, so you'll need to use a separate concealer. And as you might expect from a glow cushion, it transfers easily. I think it would work well in winter if you apply it after a light skincare routine (up to essence only)! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 12, 2024
I loved how moisturizing it was and the puff was so soft! The color was quite radiant too. It was great for touch-ups throughout the day. Unfortunately, it transferred easily and tended to separate. The staying power wasn't very good either... I think a good skincare routine is really important! - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 28, 2024
The hydration is fantastic. The color is beautiful, and it's opened up a whole new world for someone like me who always goes back to Age20's in winter. Since it's not matte, there's a bit of transfer, but honestly, it's less than other dewy cushions. It also has decent coverage, so I'd recommend it to all dry skin types concerned about blemishes. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 3, 2023
The sleek, minimalist case design is quite satisfying! The puff has a delightfully soft, squishy texture that feels gentle on the skin. As for the color, think of it as a yellow-based shade 21. (If you usually wear a light shade 21, I'd recommend trying 17!) It creates a natural luminous finish on the skin (especially if you've prepped well with skincare!). Despite being called a 'glow cushion', it's closer to a semi-matte finish than a dewy one. Unfortunately, it tends to separate over time, showing some patchiness. There's also some transfer, and the adherence to the skin could be better. Highly recommended for those with oily skin! (If you have dry skin, make sure to moisturize thoroughly before application!) Be mindful of how much product you apply - it has more coverage than you might expect, so it can look a bit heavy if you're not careful with the amount. I was excited to try the Hince cushion foundation that I had been wanting to use for a while. I used it every morning before work from October 27th to November 3rd. Since I don't have many blemishes, I used the cushion alone without concealer or foundation. Although it's called a glow cushion, it felt slightly dry on my skin. It provided natural coverage for imperfections, and the color blended well with my skin tone (I usually use YSL Encre de Peau Cushion in shade 20). The sunscreen protection (SPF50+/PA++++) is reliable, making it a trustworthy choice for natural makeup throughout the year. The product transferred onto my mask during my commute. I think this product is more suitable for younger users in their 20s and 30s rather than those over 40. The product transferred onto my mask during my commute. It feels moisturizing. The shade 21 seems suitable for my use, and its yellow undertone helps to somewhat conceal blemishes (though you'd need a concealer for full coverage). The adherence and longevity are lacking. Even during application, it doesn't feel like it's clinging to the skin, but rather sitting on top. It feels like it would all come off if I touch my face (that's why I layered the Naming Cushion over it). When wearing this alone, it tends to get oily, settles into fine lines, and doesn't wear off cleanly. Overall, it doesn't give a polished finish. Plus, when I first opened it, there was something stuck to it, which was disappointing. I use this cushion to even out my complexion and add hydration, then finish with the Naming Matte Cushion. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 3, 2023
My skin texture definitely looked smoother, and the color blended beautifully. I loved how it filled in my pores nicely. Another plus is that it's moisturizing and doesn't cause any deep dryness. I felt the adherence wasn't as good as other cushions or foundations. It transfers easily and comes off quickly, so I'd recommend setting it with powder. Since it has a glowy formula, I was disappointed that the coverage wasn't very high. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 2, 2023
For combination to oily skin / Blemish-prone skin with redness Set with powder after application * Scent * Lacks the artificial floral scent typical of drugstore brands Not unscented, but subtle enough not to be bothersome * Skin Appearance * Suitable for combination to oily skin Less dewy than expected = semi-glow finish >> After 5 hours: Oil doesn't separate, blends well with skin's natural oils Doesn't break down messily * Adherence * Distributes evenly on skin without sitting on top Applies thinly Adheres well even with quick application * Coverage * Conceals redness on flushed skin Blemishes aren't completely hidden but only slightly visible Pore coverage isn't perfect but decent Doesn't accentuate skin texture >> After 5 hours: Minimal settling into fine lines and around nose * Irritation and Blemishes * No redness or new blemishes appeared the next day after using with regular skincare routine * Skin Appearance * Slight settling into fine lines and around nose Very slight yellow tinge when oxidizing * Adherence * Transfers significantly when touching face with fingers Lacks staying power even over time * Hydration * Causes deep dryness Recommended for oily and combination skin Setting with powder improves longevity and controls oil - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 31, 2023
Hydration: As someone with dry skin, I often struggle with matte cushions. But this glow cushion absorbs well and feels moisturizing as soon as I apply it! Coverage: Among glow cushions, this one offers remarkably good coverage. Transfer: While this is somewhat unavoidable with glow-type products, it does transfer when touched or brushed against a mask. I wouldn't recommend it for days when you're wearing a mask. Thickness: Like most cushions with good coverage, it does feel a bit heavy on the skin. Distinct scent: It has that typical sunscreen smell. Since I'm not a fan of sunscreen scents, this was a bit challenging for me. When applying this cushion, controlling the amount is crucial. Even a light tap picks up plenty of product, so gently press the applicator on the cushion and then be sure to adjust the amount on the back of the puff cover before applying. Also, I noticed some transfer when layering multiple times. It's best to apply this product in just one layer!
