I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of The Hwahae Testers for this serum, and I'd like to share my thoughts after using it for a week. Highlights: • Excellent soothing effect. • The semi-transparent bottle lets you see how much product you've used. • Can be layered without feeling heavy. Initially, this serum feels a bit sticky and looks shiny when applied. It takes some time to absorb fully. However, once it sinks in, it leaves a subtle glow that isn't too heavy. Despite my oily skin, it wasn't too rich, probably because it's still winter! The soothing effect is remarkable - you can see the results in the photos I've uploaded. I was amazed at how my skin improved overnight. When I've damaged my skin from picking at blemishes, I applied an extra layer of serum. Unlike other products that often sting in these situations, this one didn't cause any burning sensation or irritation, which is great for sensitive skin.
ConsIf I had to point out one drawback, it would be this: • It can feel a bit dry after some time. (I noticed some dead skin cells, especially around my nose and blemishes, when I woke up in the morning.) At first application, I thought, 'Wow, this gives such a dewy glow and feels so hydrating! Oily skin types probably can't use this in summer.' But surprisingly, when I woke up the next morning, my skin felt quite matte. I wondered if it had all rubbed off on my pillow! I personally like that matte feeling, so I thought, 'Oh, that's not bad - an unexpected twist?' However, as I continued using it, I noticed some flaking around blemishes and on the tip of my nose. For my oily skin, I can manage this with an exfoliating toner, but those with dry skin might want to layer a more hydrating or nourishing cream on top!
TipPro tip: Applying an extra layer on areas that need soothing or are irritated really helps calm the skin down.
