As the seasons changed, my skin started breaking out with tiny blemishes, and I was considering a visit to the dermatologist. Fortunately, a friend recommended Bioderma Sensibio Defensive Serum, so I've been using it for about a month now. Product experience: The texture is quite fluid, and the dropper makes it easy to control the amount. It absorbs well without any stickiness, which is great for my oily skin. I think I'll be able to use this throughout all four seasons without any discomfort. I'm usually sensitive to strong fragrances in skincare products, but this one is practically unscented, so it doesn't bother me at all. I've noticed a significant improvement in calming my skin. The price point is a bit steep, so it can be a bit of a splurge if it's not on sale. On days when my complexion is really acting up, I apply 2-3 layers right after cleansing. I also mix a tiny bit into my foundation for a hydrated look that doesn't pill. This works hard to keep my skin looking fresh all day. - wk********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedJun 8, 2025
I've never encountered a serum that suits my skin so perfectly! While everything else I've tried caused irritation, this is the only product that doesn't irritate my skin at all! As amazing as it is, the price is equally steep... Even with discounts, it's a burden on my wallet every time I purchase it. - rl********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 4, 2025
If you're struggling with uneven skin, this ampoule is an absolute must-have. As someone with dry skin prone to redness and blemishes, I decided to give the Sensibio Serum a try when it went on sale at Olive Young. I was a bit concerned when I first applied it because my face felt warm, but I woke up the next morning to find that more than half of the redness had subsided. After 2-3 days of use, even the blemishes had calmed down, and my skin returned to its normal state. There's nothing I would discourage about this product. I'd love to recommend it wholeheartedly, but the regular price is quite steep. I find myself eagerly waiting for Olive Young sales to make a purchase. For those times when your skin needs extra care, try layering the product two or three times for even faster results. It's remarkable how quickly it helps calm blemishes. - a0**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRednessRecommendedMay 17, 2025
After application, it is good that there is no sticky residue left on the skin and the moisturization lasts for a long time. Additionally, the easy-to-apply formula makes it convenient to use. A small amount is sufficient, but it is regrettable that the product itself has a small quantity and is used up quickly. - ji******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 4, 2025
Among all the skincare products I've tried, this serum is the gentlest on my skin. Soothing effect: It's so gentle that you can apply it even after dermatological treatments without any concerns. Rather than feeling a noticeable calming effect, it's more like it doesn't irritate the skin at all. If your skin tends to get red and irritated no matter what you apply, this is definitely worth a try! Hydration: Contrary to its appearance, it has a surprisingly light finish. It's suitable for all skin types. If you have dry skin, I recommend following up with a good moisturizer after using this. The price is quite steep... It's hard to justify buying it unless it's on sale. The spoiler is a bit inconvenient, but I think that's common for dermatological products. Recommended for use after dermatological treatments or when your skin feels sensitive even after just washing your face! - vi********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 23, 2025
I highly recommend this! It's a lightweight serum with excellent absorption, keeping your skin hydrated. It's perfect as a toner replacement. When my skin flared up from pool water and sun exposure during an overseas trip, this serum provided incredible soothing relief. It's a must-try for those with super sensitive skin! While I don't want to waste a single drop, it's frustrating that the angular glass bottle design makes it impossible to use every last bit, even when turned upside down. Such a shame! - cs****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 11, 2025
It has a slightly oily feel, which might be why the hydration was quite good. I think it would work well for combination and oily skin types in fall and winter, while dry skin types could use it year-round. I tend to experience burning and irritation when using products containing citric acid, and this one was no exception. It was so harsh that my skin completely broke out. I definitely wouldn't recommend this for those with super sensitive skin. - ki*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 25, 2025
If you're not using products for sensitive skin, you're missing out big time. I'm usually a skincare enthusiast who rarely repurchases products, no matter how good they are. But the difference in my skin's condition with and without this product was so noticeable that I had to buy it again. The photo shows my skin flare-up before repurchasing. While using this line's serum and cream, my skin never acted up, and even when exposed to external irritants, the reaction was mild and quickly subsided. At first, I thought it was just gentle and balanced oil and moisture well while being hydrating. But after about a month, I realized, 'Hey, I'm not getting those red blemishes lately!' It's deeply hydrating without feeling sticky, and it absorbs so well that even if I rub my face on the pillow while sleeping, my skin doesn't feel parched the next day. I tend to accumulate dead skin cells easily and have sensitive skin that can look patchy and dull, but using this product amazingly alleviates these issues. I initially bought it as a sensitive anti-aging product, and I only wish I'd discovered it sooner. The effects are even better when used with the cream, but if you're only getting one, I'd recommend the serum. If you're buying the cream, go for the rich version for combination or dry skin, and the defensive for oily skin. I repurchased both the serum and cream! As someone with sensitive skin, I experience red blemishes, enlarged pores, dry cheeks, and dehydrated yet oily skin during flare-ups. I've realized that skin that repeatedly flares up and calms down ages faster. Expensive luxury anti-aging products were too rich and irritating for my combination skin, so I'm thrilled to have found a product that addresses sensitivity-induced skin aging! After use, makeup applies smoothly without pilling. It's excellent for protecting against external irritants as it strengthens the skin. My friend with dry, sensitive skin also said it made her skin more hydrated and clearer (?). While I might try other skincare products that catch my eye, I plan to keep buying this one during sales! Since it's not a greasy kind of hydration, you can use a small amount in summer and more in winter, adjusting the quantity for year-round use. For those with sensitive skin, try to avoid getting hair products on your face and change your pillowcase frequently - it helps! + Added photo after 3 days: The red blemishes have disappeared, leaving only faint marks. The price is high for the volume when not on sale, and it's frustrating that the dropper can't reach the bottom when there's a little left. Extremely dry skin types might find it a bit drying in winter. People who don't have sensitivity-induced redness or imbalanced oil and moisture levels might not notice much improvement. Healthy skin probably doesn't need to splurge on this product. Personally, I don't think all flushed skin is necessarily sensitive, so this might not work for everyone with redness. This product contains both oil and moisture, so for those with flushed skin, I'd recommend skipping the cream and using gel-type products focused on hydration instead. I'm saying this as someone who's been through all sorts of skin troubles, as many people seem unaware. Staple skincare products I've repurchased more than twice: Etude Soon Jung Cica Balm Great for itchy skin, stinging skin, and irritated skin with red blemishes Dr. Lab P.H.A Luronic Gel Excellent for skin condition, texture, oil-moisture balance, and regeneration effects - Sa*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRednessRecommendedFeb 13, 2025
I applied this when my skin was super sensitive due to folliculitis, and it calmed everything down completely! The amount is really small... And if you apply too much, blemishes can appear. - os*****Oily SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 7, 2025
This serum boasts antioxidant properties with a pleasantly light consistency that doesn't feel heavy on the skin. Its opaque formula contains a touch of richness, providing hydrating care. I primarily use it in my evening skincare routine. It's been incredibly helpful in improving my complexion! While I don't have any specific complaints, if you're planning to use this with a cream, make sure to let the serum absorb well before moving on to the next step in your routine.
