This brand is famous for its nose packs, but their cleansing oil seems to be just as effective. It has a pleasant scent and is gentle on the skin. When massaged softly, it's excellent at removing blackheads and excess sebum. After rinsing, I didn't get that squeaky-clean, refreshed feeling. Even though I thought I had rinsed thoroughly, there was still a slightly oily residue on my skin, which was disappointing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 27, 2023
Wow, I think this is really great! Here's why I found it so good: First off, my skin texture has definitely improved. While changing my toner might have contributed, cleansing my face with this oil leaves it neither dry nor irritated. Most importantly, it has great ingredients too! I haven't experienced any blemishes while using this, and I love how it removes sebum plugs without irritation. As you massage it in, you can feel the little granules... Anyway, with consistent use, I don't think I'll have to worry about sebum explosions on my nose anymore. Since Illiyoon is known for their popular pore strips at Olive Young, I had high hopes for their oil too. I'm very satisfied with my experience. However, I'm not sure if it's particularly better compared to other oil products, so I deducted one star. Maybe I'll notice more benefits with longer use? I'll update my review later. The scent is quite strong though. For those who prefer a squeaky-clean feeling after cleansing, this might leave a residual sensation that could feel uncomfortable. But don't you usually follow up with a foam cleanser anyway? If so, then it's not an issue! Make sure to cleanse thoroughly. If oil remains in hard-to-reach areas like the hairline, chin, sides of the nose, or near the eyes, it can lead to painful acne. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMar 24, 2023
With the dry weather and sitting in the office all day, my cheeks would look pale even without makeup. On days I wore makeup, I'd get frustrated with clogged pores. That was my situation, you know? But after using this for about two days, I applied my cushion foundation in the morning and looked in the mirror - no clogging on my nose! Since then, I've used it every night, and while my pores haven't disappeared, the clogging is gone. My nose used to get clogged as soon as I put on makeup, which was really stressful. This has become an amazing product for me! It's a watery oil, so after cleansing, it feels slippery with some oil residue. Of course, I do a second cleanse with a foam cleanser, but for oily skin types, you feel like everything's properly cleaned when your skin feels squeaky clean, you know? So at first, I was skeptical if it really removed all the fine dust. It does cleanse, but leaves an oily feeling! I have combination dehydrated skin, but in summer I become straight-up oily, so I'll probably use this except during peak summer. It's fragrance-free, so those with sensitive noses can use it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 24, 2023
I was lucky enough to be selected as one of The Hwahae Testers and used this product for about a week! Pros: - Gentle: It feels so gentle when using! Even if it gets in your eyes while applying, it's much less irritating compared to other oil-based products. - Removes blackheads and whiteheads: It really dissolves those pesky blackheads and whiteheads! After use, my skin feels super smooth. It's great if you're specifically targeting blackhead removal. - Soft cleansing power: Compared to other oil cleansers, this one rinses off incredibly smoothly. The cleansing experience is really pleasant. - No blemishes: I have acne-prone skin, but this didn't make my existing blemishes worse or cause new ones. However, it didn't make them disappear either. Cons: - Contains fragrance: The scent is definitely polarizing! If you're sensitive to fragrances, I wouldn't recommend this. - Doesn't provide that 'squeaky clean' feeling: As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I prefer feeling super clean in my T-zone, nose, and forehead areas. That's when I feel truly refreshed. But because this is an oil and the product itself is so gentle, it feels a bit slippery and like it's just sitting on top of the skin. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily skin who prefer that deep-clean sensation. It seems a bit insufficient for removing heavy makeup. For a more thorough cleanse, I'd suggest following up with a cleansing foam. When emulsifying, if you control the water well, it's even more effective at drawing out those blackheads! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 20, 2023
I used to do a two-step cleanse with Pon* eye makeup remover followed by Ba**ko cleansing balm, but with this product, I can skip all that! It removes makeup so well on its own. After cleansing, I wiped my face with toner on a cotton pad, and there was no residue left - everything was cleaned off perfectly. My skin is prone to whiteheads and blackheads, but after massaging this for about a minute, I could see white, bumpy sebum coming out. I think with a few more uses, all the stubborn sebum will be cleared out. The texture is similar to regular cleansing oils. My skin was particularly sensitive at the time, and I'm prone to sensitivity in general, but I didn't break out after using this. That's when I realized it must be a gentle product (though individual results may vary). I have oily skin, so I usually prefer cleansers that leave my face feeling squeaky clean. This product, however, leaves more of a moisturized, smooth feeling - like there's a thin layer left on the skin. When it arrived, there was some empty space in the bottle as shown in the photo. At first, I thought they'd sent me a used product! But I guess that's normal? The scent caught me off guard - it smells just like my dad's aftershave! You'll know exactly what I mean when you smell it. My boyfriend said it reminds him of the scent of middle-aged men applying toner after a shower at the public bath. I use this at the end of my day when I'm home. While cleansing with the oil, I also give my eyes a gentle massage and do a long facial massage to dissolve sebum (but please don't massage too hard!).
