ConsHwahae is not recommended for those with allergies. Sudden itching may occur.
TipTry a small skin test first before using it.

Let me summarize it in one line first. It's a mineral sunscreen with good spreadability, spreads smoothly. Less drying, almost no white cast. Eco-friendly packaging. Not much emphasis on flaky skin. Sidmool is a brand that I found to be like the salt and light at Hwahae... They don't waste money on celebrity endorsements, but offer reasonably priced products with just the necessary ingredients, not overly formulated cosmetics, which really captivates me... Why am I rambling so much? If places like Sidmool do well, more such places will emerge, hehe. I get really bad eye irritation when I use only mineral sunscreens, I don't know if it's an allergy or what, but no matter how gentle the mineral sunscreen is, as soon as I apply it near my eyes, tears start streaming down, making it hard to even do my makeup. But then again, mineral sunscreens are thick, sticky and tend to pill, making it difficult to apply makeup. So I've just been diligently applying foundation-free sunscreen or cushion. This is just... the best. It doesn't pill even if you wait for just a few minutes. Thanks to this, I can go about my day all bouncy and supple again, haha. The spreadability is also good, so there's no thick, sticky feeling when applying. But for those with additional makeup steps, don't apply too much~! On days when I didn't have any other makeup, I applied a bit more, hehe. Oh, and I also have dry skin, with quite a bit of flakiness and oiliness (all of it drying up and becoming hard, dry flakes and oil). When this combines with white cast, it looks really unsightly, but since there's less emphasis on that, it was just great. Of course, it does come up a bit, but this level is good enough. I love basking in the sun, and never wear a hat, but as I'm approaching my late 20s... it's starting to catch up with me, so I've been trying out various products, all of which I ended up giving to my husband. And then, I happened to win the Hwahae Trial Reviewers product, and it's just perfect - life is truly full of surprises...
ConsNonetheless, sunscreen does have its own distinctive scent.
TipA mineral sunscreen that is great to apply even before makeup!

However, the moisturizing application feels more oily than watery, so those with oily skin may not like it. The white cast is just the right amount, and the skin feels comfortable when first applied.
ConsThe product did not fit well as it was extremely dry. When I established a solid foundation, it was fine at first and for a few hours, but then my skin felt like it was cracking. Within the two days I used it, I developed about 3 blemishes, and when I stopped using it, the blemishes went away. I would not recommend it for dry skin, and I'm not sure if it would be suitable for oily skin either, as it felt quite greasy initially. I usually like Sidmool products, but this particular one did not work well for me.

When applied, it feels refreshing and like the skin tone is corrected. It doesn't feel greasy or sticky, but rather like it envelops the skin in a single layer.
ConsHowever, there seemed to be some ingredients that didn't agree with me, as I developed blemishes all over my face overnight after using it. And after applying it, the dry areas immediately peeled off like flaky skin, so I don't think I'll be able to use it before the Hwahae trial.
TipIt seems necessary to control the dosage well. If you increase the amount too much at once, it will be less absorbed and sit on the skin.

The usage feels like applying a dense, moisturizing cream at first. After massaging it a bit, it spreads easily and absorbs quickly. After applying, my skin looks and feels very hydrated. Although it may not be very visible, it seems to provide a subtle glow and tone-up effect (as shown in the second photo of the back of my hand). It's great to use as a makeup-free tint when I need to quickly go out, like meeting a friend nearby or running a short errand - it's really helpful! 👍
ConsThe disappointing part was that when I was busy, there were times when I couldn't fully complete my skincare routine, and my skin ended up with peeling (3rd photo). I wish the packaging was a bit more visually appealing.
TipDry skin types must be sure to replenish moisture and apply it. Otherwise, it will all come off. Since there is a bit of white cast, it's better to apply a little at a time. I squeeze it onto the back of my hand and dab it on my cheeks twice, my forehead once, and my chin once. Then I take any remaining sunscreen left on the back of my hand and lightly spread it over the areas that need more.

As it is a Hwahae product, the ingredients are certainly gentle. I was worried that this product might be a bit thick since it is a mineral sunscreen, but surprisingly, the application was very smooth, and it spread evenly with a moisturizing feel, making it comfortable to use. There was no white cast at all, and it provided a natural-looking tone-up effect, making my skin appear brighter and radiant.
ConsIt seems that the dryness has worsened, as after applying the product, the butterfly zone and dry areas start to feel tight, and there is also a clogging phenomenon in the pores. Flaky skin is also coming up, and there are even small bumps on the forehead. The next day, I tried mixing in some jojoba oil, but over time, it still became dry... I'll have to try using it again when summer comes!

There was a slight white cast, but it faded over time and is much less noticeable compared to other sunscreens I actually prefer a slight white cast I usually apply sunscreen, color correcting cream, then BB cream But when I apply this product and then BB cream, everything flakes off and slides around I absolutely cannot use this as a base for makeup
ConsI love moisturizing sunscreens, but based on my skin type, this one feels thick and sticky when applied, and my skin dries out quickly with flaky skin buildup. The worst part was that it caused acne and blemishes to appear. It seems there were some ingredients that didn't agree with my skin type. ㅠㅠ
TipI recommend simply applying a daily sunscreen.

ConsAt first, when I applied it, my skin looked prettier (with a slight whitening and an improved skin tone) and I thought this sunscreen was great, so I kept using it. For about 1-2 weeks, I even recommended it to people around me, thinking I had found a great sunscreen. But after about a week, I started getting pimples on my forehead, one by one, and they turned into cystic acne-like pimples. I thought it might not be because of this sunscreen, but when the people around me who also used it said they got acne too, I stopped using it! I don't recommend this to those with sensitive skin.
