My skin type is combination dehydrated skin that's extremely sensitive and prone to blemishes. Even the slightest mismatch with a product can cause a reaction, so I always check ingredients before purchasing (though that doesn't guarantee success). Currently, my face is in turmoil due to stress, and while searching for a soothing cream with tears in my eyes, I applied for the I'm From Licorice Calming Cream test. Here's my review after using it for about a week! What I liked: 1. It absorbs well When applied, it spreads smoothly on the face. It's not just lightweight, but also provides a decent level of hydration. 2. Good ingredients I applied for this test because I heard the ingredients are great, especially for acne-prone skin. Some people seem to find it extremely compatible with their skin.
ConsUnfortunately, there were more downsides to this product... 1. Ineffective for deep dryness I only switched my usual cream to this one in my skincare routine, but my face felt so tight that I had to reapply. It left my skin feeling very dry deep down. 2. Pilling when reapplied When I reapplied due to dryness, it pilled like dead skin cells. When I tried using slightly more from the start, it still pilled... It was a vicious cycle. 3. Limited soothing effect While my skin condition was admittedly terrible, I didn't notice any soothing effects on redness or blemishes... Moreover, as the deep dryness wasn't resolved, I felt like I was getting small bumps, so I stopped using it.
TipI had high hopes, but it seems this product just wasn't right for me. While it wasn't the worst match for my skin, I don't think I'll continue using it. I'm back to being a nomad in search of the perfect soothing cream...

I feel like it's absorbed as soon as I apply it. Texture - The formula has a slight richness and hydration, making it absorb well! The texture was somewhere between a soothing cream and a regular moisturizer. Scent - A fragrance I've never experienced in a moisturizer before! It has a very savory grain scent that reminds me of misugaru (roasted grain powder) when I apply it, haha!
ConsLack of hydration - I think it might not provide enough hydration for those with dry skin. Even as someone with combination dehydrated skin, I didn't find it exceptionally moisturizing. I wouldn't recommend it for those with dry skin as it might feel quite drying. Makeup pilling - I followed my usual routine and only switched to this cream, but it pilled like dead skin cells. It might be better to use it before bed rather than under makeup. Calming effect? - I'm not sure about its calming effects. It might be because it overlapped with my menstrual cycle, but I got small blemishes all over. I'll need to test it for two more weeks after my period ends.
TipThis would be good for combination dehydrated or oily skin types to use during summer.

Feels non-greasy and has a calming effect.
ConsPills like dead skin cells and has an unpleasant scent. Slightly reduces redness, but doesn't improve dermatitis - just maintains the status quo. Switched to another product due to poor user experience.
