I love that it doesn't cause any irritation or blemishes.
ConsUnfortunately, the scent isn't great. Also, its staying power could be better.

Even the men in my household who dislike heavy textures reach for it often due to its comfortable feel. It doesn't cause makeup to pill and doesn't feel heavy even in summer.
ConsThe lasting power is a bit disappointing. In winter, you can boost its moisturizing effect by layering an oil on top. I recommend using jojoba oil as it won't clog your pores.

My skin tends to have redness and freckles, with a slightly tanned 23 shade complexion. Texture: It's close to a translucent gel consistency. Scent: It has a subtle, pleasant roasted rice candy aroma. I appreciate that it's not an artificial cosmetic or fruity scent. Hydration: It spreads easily and smoothly across the skin. Initially, it feels like it's creating a moisturizing barrier, but after patting it in several times, it absorbs nicely, leaving the skin feeling supple, hydrated, and refreshed. Cooling effect: When applying and spreading the product, you can feel a slight cooling sensation.
ConsThe hydration doesn't seem to last very long. I found I needed to reapply at least three times to feel adequately moisturized.
TipTry using it generously like a sleeping mask. Alternatively, mix it 1:1 with a richer cream, or layer a richer cream on top after applying this product.

At first, the fragrance surprised me, but as I got used to it, it felt comforting. When applying the product, it doesn't just evaporate quickly like some lightweight moisturizers. Instead, it gives a pleasantly cool sensation and feels like it's coating the skin just right. The texture is smooth and applies easily, similar to a hydrating emulsion. I don't have acne, but my skin is thin and I have some blemishes - like small dark spots. While using this product, they didn't completely disappear, but I was amazed to see them slightly fade (these spots usually don't budge with most products!).
ConsI have redness issues, and it seems unrealistic to expect long-lasting soothing effects from this product alone. Not just this one, but other calming products also struggle to completely alleviate redness. During seasonal changes, I found the hydration level a bit lacking when used as a final step. I had to layer a more emollient product on top, which seemed to overshadow this product's effects. Given the amount you get, it might not be the most cost-effective option out there.
TipWhenever I feel my skin heating up at home, I reapply and let it absorb. Before bed, I finish with a more nourishing moisturizer. It seems to provide slightly better hydration than a standard moisturizer. I'd recommend giving it a try if you need a soothing hydrator, especially during summer months.

And wow, it really works! It was especially effective in soothing redness. I could see my skin, which was flushed from sun exposure and heat, calming down quickly. It was amazing to see results in just a few days of use. While its effect on post-blemish hyperpigmentation was relatively mild, it did slightly fade those marks! <Texture> As the weather's been getting drier lately, I could feel my skin lacking moisture. This product has a texture full of hydration that absorbs quickly into the skin. I also liked that the moisture doesn't evaporate rapidly, leaving skin dry. I especially recommend this for those with oily or acne-prone skin who dislike heavy, suffocating textures. <Price> It's great that you can buy it at a reasonable price (around 10,000 won) on Hwahae. Considering how expensive skincare products are these days, the Licorice Calming Cream seems to offer good value for money! (Don't buy it at full price, wait for a sale on Hwahae)
Cons<Scent> The downside of this product is its scent... (That's why I deducted one star) It has an artificial fragrance that, upon repeated sniffing, reminds me of eyelid glue. It's a scent that might be polarizing (likely more on the dislike side), so those sensitive to fragrances should take note! The silver lining is that the scent doesn't linger long, so it didn't give me a headache.
TipApply it all over your face, and add an extra thick layer on areas with redness or blemishes for better results. (As you can see in the photo, overall redness has been visibly reduced.) +) There's a honey mask from I'm From, and if you use the Licorice Calming Cream after that mask, your skin texture becomes incredibly moisturized and soft.

It really helped calm the burning sensation on my skin. Thanks to this, my redness subsided quickly, so I've been using it religiously morning and evening during this hot weather.
ConsWhile it's great for soothing redness, I'm not sure about its effectiveness on blemishes. Also, being a brightening product, it feels moisturizing when applied, but the hydration doesn't last long. I had to layer another cream on top to prevent dryness.
TipI found that using it in a routine of toner, hydrating essence, I'm From Licorice Calming Cream, and then a moisturizer worked best for calming redness and maintaining hydration for longer.

It has a pleasant rice-like scent, and I loved how it feels rich and smooth when applying. After application, the skin feels moisturized and absorbs well quickly, leaving a fresh finish without any stickiness. While there's a slight hint of richness when applying, it seems to focus mainly on hydrating and comforting the skin.
ConsThe hydration didn't last as long as I expected. My skin quickly felt dry and tight, so I had to apply an additional moisturizer to form a protective barrier. It claims to reduce blemishes and even out the complexion, but I didn't notice any significant effects.

I appreciate the lightweight feel that doesn't feel heavy on the skin. The slight lack of moisture might vary from person to person. I'm not certain about its soothing effects since my dry skin doesn't typically experience blemishes. However, I felt comfortable after applying the cream, so it likely has some calming properties. Formulation: The gel-type formula absorbs well. Scent: This might be a bit divisive. There's a slight herbal scent, possibly licorice.
ConsSince I have dry skin, it absorbs quickly and I wish the effects lasted longer. Also, some days I found the sweet licorice scent a bit off-putting. This could be because I generally prefer fragrance-free products.
