I'm absolutely in love with it! It's so good that I've stopped using my regular cushion and switched to this product exclusively. I was initially worried it might be too dry since it's a velvet lasting powder, but wow! At first, it applies quite matte, so much so that I thought I could skip powder after my makeup. But about 4 hours in, my natural oils start to come through. Here's the kicker - these oils create the most beautiful glow! In photos, my skin looks absolutely radiant. Of course, as the oils surface, the base can wear off a bit, so I do touch up with powder. Even with powder, you still get that gorgeous glow as time passes! The coverage is incredible too. It conceals so well that I barely need foundation anymore. Touch-ups are seamless - no caking or patchiness. For a matte product, it applies beautifully. I just use the puff to pick up the product, then swipe it across my cheeks and blend it all over my face. It goes on in a thin, even layer. The color is perfect too - it's a yellow undertone and a bit brighter than typical 21 shades. I looked it up and found out it has a houttuynia cordata water base, which explains why it feels so hydrating on the skin! The adherence and coverage are truly outstanding.
ConsAs someone with combination dehydrated skin, I find that my natural oils come through quite quickly with this. It might be better suited for winter use rather than summer for me personally!

One day, I tried it again without thinking and was amazed by its beautiful glass skin-like glow. However, since that glow can be a bit much in summer, I decided to try the velvet version when it came out. I have combination dehydrated skin that gets super oily in summer, with large pores and lots of whiteheads. I usually go for ultra-matte foundations like Hera or Estée Lauder Double Wear. This one isn't as matte, but still has a nice natural glow. If you don't prep your skin properly, it will settle into your pores something fierce - not a pretty sight. With a solid skincare routine, it holds up better, but by lunchtime at work, it's a mess, to be honest. This is definitely a compact for those days when your skin is in top condition.
ConsI'm not sure if it's my skin that's the issue or the product itself, but unless your skincare game is strong or your skin is behaving perfectly, this is pretty much unusable.

This product applies smoothly, living up to its 'velvet' name.
ConsHowever, that velvety feeling doesn't seem to last very long. On the flip side, the coverage does appear to stay put for quite a while. The ingredients list is a bit disappointing though.
TipIt seems the mini version is meant to be used as a concealer. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product.

Just as I was thinking of trying it, the Velvet Lasting Pact caught my eye. I have quite a few pores and some dry patches, which can make foundation look patchy and emphasize my pores. But this pact applies smoothly and gives an overall soft, healthy-looking complexion. I think I'll switch from my Neo Cushion to this. The price on Hwahae is wallet-friendly too, making it great value for money. Good stuff!
ConsWell, I can't really think of any downsides. My skin looked so good that I didn't want to wash my face!

I apply it by scooping the balm with the puff, tapping off the excess on the puff case, then spreading it on my face. This seems to give the most beautiful application! Even though I have oily skin, it doesn't break down messily over time, just develops a pretty glow. I only use powder or blotting paper without any touch-ups! I was worried about dryness in winter due to its velvet-lasting formula, but I didn't experience any! It even held up well during a full day at Lotte World in mid-winter without touch-ups. When it started to wear off around the mouth area after a while, I just spritzed some mist. On days when I prepped my skin thoroughly, I didn't notice any issues with dead skin cells. I was concerned about the lighter shade without being able to test it, but shade 21 worked well for me! (I've used Jung Saem-mool Light / Espoir Bebeam 21 Ivory / Javin-ez Seoul 21). However, I don't think the coverage is exceptionally high, so you might want to use a separate concealer.
ConsSince it's a balm type, dust tends to stick to the balm surface.
TipI find it applies most beautifully when I spray some mist on the puff before application!

Being velvet, it definitely felt drier compared to other Age 20's compacts. The finish leaves almost no glow on the skin.
ConsUsually, even when I use a matte foundation in the morning, I keep my skincare routine simple. However, with this compact, even after applying my usual skincare, it seemed to float and clump noticeably. While the finish is powdery, perhaps because it's a balm type, it attracts more dust to my face than when I use a cushion (powder touch-up is a must!).
