Shade 21 would be perfect for a radiant look. - Texture: Can range from dewy to semi-matte depending on your skincare base. This formula requires some skill - absolutely avoid patting it on heavily. Instead, spread it thinly. Patting will make it thick, pill, and separate. Apply a small amount, spread it thinly, then gently pat for a beautiful finish. It gives a slight glow, making your skin look great. Doesn't emphasize texture or pores, and provides good coverage. A thin layer prevents a heavy feeling on the skin. Easy to touch up if it transfers. Almost no darkening, and it lasted well even after being out all day. I didn't find it drying, but if you do, make sure to prep your skin well with hydrating products.
ConsBeing in stick form, it tends to collect dust and seems to wear down quickly due to its texture.

I've settled on this one and I couldn't be happier! The Hwahae Testers, listen up: It's wonderfully hydrating. Though I'm not usually a fan of dewy cushions, if you apply this by gently pressing and then patting to finish, you get this amazing inner glow that makes your skin look radiant. For the first time ever, people have told me my skin looks great! As for coverage, it conceals minor blemishes and light discoloration, but it won't completely hide acne scars. Personally, I love this aspect. Other high-coverage cushions can look heavy and obviously made-up, which I find overwhelming. This one evens out my skin tone and texture while lightly covering acne marks and adding a glow, so my skin just looks naturally good. For those days when I want more coverage, I use concealer and then apply this base. Regarding the shade, I was worried about buying online, but it runs slightly brighter than standard shades. The formula is so good that you can apply thin layers gradually, so the exact shade matters less. If you like a brighter look, go for 21. If you have darker skin or prefer a more natural look, choose 23. The adherence is fantastic. Despite being a compact, it doesn't apply thick. When you press it on, it adheres much better than typical foundations or cushions, without caking or lifting. It barely settles into pores. I have slightly larger pores around my nose, but if I press and pat this on, I can skip primer. Unlike other cushions that emphasize pores over time, this one, perhaps due to the Houttuynia Cordata extract instead of water, maintains a comfortable hydration that prevents skin from drying out. As time passes and it mixes with your natural oils, your skin looks even more beautiful. Lastly, this is my personal, heartfelt opinion. I've been itching to share how great this product is, and I'm truly satisfied with this cushion. Even with my acne-prone skin, this makes my complexion look good. If it can make my troubled skin look this nice, imagine how great it would be for those with normal skin who haven't found their perfect cushion yet!
ConsIf I had to nitpick, there's a slight darkening effect after some time. It's not noticeable enough to bother me, so I use it every day. My skin has yellow undertones and is slightly dark, but I use shade 21.
TipYou need to apply this cushion by pressing it on! Use a small amount, press it onto your skin, then pat. Layer it until you're satisfied with the finish - the skin-perfecting effect is incredible!

One day, I tried it again without thinking and was amazed by its beautiful glass skin-like glow. However, since that glow can be a bit much in summer, I decided to try the velvet version when it came out. I have combination dehydrated skin that gets super oily in summer, with large pores and lots of whiteheads. I usually go for ultra-matte foundations like Hera or Estée Lauder Double Wear. This one isn't as matte, but still has a nice natural glow. If you don't prep your skin properly, it will settle into your pores something fierce - not a pretty sight. With a solid skincare routine, it holds up better, but by lunchtime at work, it's a mess, to be honest. This is definitely a compact for those days when your skin is in top condition.
ConsI'm not sure if it's my skin that's the issue or the product itself, but unless your skincare game is strong or your skin is behaving perfectly, this is pretty much unusable.

I loved the ivory color that wasn't overly yellow. The coverage was decent, and although it had a semi-matte finish, there was a subtle glow that made my complexion look beautiful. The staying power was impressive - even without touch-ups, it didn't crease or break down much, except where my mask rubbed. I usually wear makeup for 8-10 hours, and while it varied depending on my skincare routine, it generally maintained well.
ConsBeing a semi-matte formula, I noticed some dryness on days when I rushed my skincare routine. I started using it in May, but I think it would require more thorough skincare prep in winter. It might be more suitable for summer use. There was some darkening, which disappointingly turned into a grayish, dull color. When I tried to layer it, it felt a bit heavy on the skin.

Right after applying the cushion, your skin looks clean with a nice glow, which is beautifully expressed. It might be good for short outings. While it's not super hydrating when applying, it goes on smoothly without much effort. The puff seems well-made too. It's a bit firm, but it works well with the formula. Even though it's a balm-type cushion, I liked that it doesn't go on too thick. I tend to get blemishes if foundation doesn't suit me, but I didn't experience any with this.
ConsI consider creasing and breakdown most important, but it creases around the eyes and nasolabial folds, and the breakdown isn't great... Among cushions, I'd say the breakdown is average. As time passed, I noticed a lot of oil coming through in my T-zone, but it didn't blend nicely. I think those with oily skin might struggle to use this in summer. The adherence is also average, so as time goes on and it meets oil, the adherence decreases, and if you touch your face, it rubs off in those areas. While darkening wasn't severe, it was definitely noticeable, and around the eyes or dry areas, the foundation pilled up a bit like dead skin. I saw a few reviews saying the skin feels comfortable, but while it doesn't feel thick when applied thinly, I don't think it's exceptionally comfortable - just an average cushion in my opinion.
TipRecommended for outings of about 5 hours

Color Despite being shade 21, even for someone like me who usually uses shade 19, it had a natural, radiant pink tone that worked well. 2. Name says 'Velvet' but feels more like 'Semi-glow' Although it's called 'Velvet', the texture is closer to a semi-glow with a slight sheen. This makes it perfect for those with combination dehydrated skin. It has good staying power, and although it's a balm type, it gives the same finish as my frequently used P/Y Glass Cushion. (See photo for natural glow effect) 3. Pore coverage (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) This cushion ranks well in terms of pore coverage, but it's not perfect. Being a balm type, unlike regular cushions, it shows slight clumping. (See photo for pore coverage) 4. Fragrance This might be a polarizing aspect, but considering it's an Age 20's brand that mothers typically favor, the inclusion of fragrance seems unavoidable and somewhat understandable.
Cons1. Adherence This is a common limitation of balm-type products. The adherence was on the lower side, which makes it prone to transfer (the circle in the photo shows where I pressed with my finger).

I apply it by scooping the balm with the puff, tapping off the excess on the puff case, then spreading it on my face. This seems to give the most beautiful application! Even though I have oily skin, it doesn't break down messily over time, just develops a pretty glow. I only use powder or blotting paper without any touch-ups! I was worried about dryness in winter due to its velvet-lasting formula, but I didn't experience any! It even held up well during a full day at Lotte World in mid-winter without touch-ups. When it started to wear off around the mouth area after a while, I just spritzed some mist. On days when I prepped my skin thoroughly, I didn't notice any issues with dead skin cells. I was concerned about the lighter shade without being able to test it, but shade 21 worked well for me! (I've used Jung Saem-mool Light / Espoir Bebeam 21 Ivory / Javin-ez Seoul 21). However, I don't think the coverage is exceptionally high, so you might want to use a separate concealer.
ConsSince it's a balm type, dust tends to stick to the balm surface.
TipI find it applies most beautifully when I spray some mist on the puff before application!
