It provides a nice brightening effect with just the right amount of white cast. Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it absorbs exceptionally well. There's no dryness after application, yet it doesn't leave an oily feeling either. The ingredients are also top-notch. Everything's great, but after about 2 hours of wear, I start to get what looks like mosquito bites, and after 5 hours, it's like sebum-filled folliculitis appears. This is my first time using a mineral sunscreen, so I'm not sure if it's an issue with mineral sunscreens in general or just this product. I love everything about it, but it's such a shame my skin doesn't agree with it - can't do much about that. The reviewer appreciates the product's brightening effect and how well it absorbs despite being a mineral sunscreen. They also note the good ingredient list. However, they experience skin reactions after prolonged wear, which is disappointing as they otherwise like the product. The reviewer is unsure if this reaction is due to mineral sunscreens in general or this specific product. - cc*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 16, 2025
Even with my sensitive skin, I used this without any blemishes. It feels so refreshing! Oil seems to surface after a while. Other than that, I had no complaints. As someone with super sensitive skin, I was pleasantly surprised by how well this product worked for me. The refreshing sensation it leaves is a definite plus. However, it's worth noting that over time, there's a slight increase in oiliness. Despite this minor issue, the overall experience was positive, and I found very little to fault with the product. - mk******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 16, 2025
It absorbs really well, making it easy to apply. Since all Aestura products are gentle, I didn't experience any blemishes after application. The scent is also quite neutral, so I think most people won't find it off-putting. The white cast is quite noticeable. If you don't control the amount well, your face can become really pale. - ti*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 16, 2025
My super sensitive skin tends to react badly to chemical sunscreens, so I opted for Aestura's mineral sunscreen, hoping it would be gentler on my skin. I'm happy to report that it definitely lived up to my expectations! As a mineral sunscreen, it didn't cause any blemishes and worked well for me. Compared to other sunscreens, the price is a bit steep if it's not on sale. Also, being a mineral sunscreen, its absorption isn't the best, but that's somewhat unavoidable. Instead of applying a small amount with your fingers and rubbing it in along your skin texture, I found it works better to pat it on lightly in multiple layers. This method helps it absorb more effectively! - yo*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedJun 15, 2025
As a true devotee of mineral sunscreens, this one is my absolute favorite! As someone who prioritizes soothing, hydrating products for sensitive skin, I highly recommend this. My skin type is combination - oily T-zone with extremely dry U-zone. I have combination dehydrated skin that leans dry. (I avoid extracts and ferments) I used to use a competitor's easy-wash sunscreen, but while it applied smoothly, it felt like rubbing gravel on my face. My skin felt parched, to the point where I had to give up after a few months. (It was so drying it caused redness) I almost gave up on mineral sunscreens altogether and briefly tried chemical ones. But since zinc oxide is still the safest for skin, I decided to give Aestura a shot - and wow, what a game-changer! The texture is truly unparalleled among mineral sunscreens. Most importantly, "it's not drying at all" - I'm seriously impressed. While it doesn't stay dewy from 10 AM to evening, it doesn't flake or crack throughout the day, unlike my previous sunscreen. That's a huge win! Unless you're very acne-prone, this works great as a brightening moisturizer base too. On weekdays when I'm mostly at home, I just apply this and maybe touch up with a sun compact before going out in the afternoon... it's perfect! Of course, you'll need to use a cleansing milk or gel rather than just water to remove it properly. But the amazing feel on my skin makes the double cleanse totally worth it! The Laneige product in the photo is a chemical sunscreen. It's super gentle, so I alternate between the two. I included it in the picture since I use them both regularly. I have no complaints. After being disappointed by so many expensive products, I find Aestura's line to be really reasonably priced with great ingredients. First, squeeze out about two knuckles' worth of product. Using only your ring finger, gently pat it into your skin, following the direction of your pores, in very thin layers. Build it up gradually with multiple thin layers. It's crucial to apply your moisturizer, wait about 5 minutes for it to absorb, and then apply sunscreen! - ss******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedJun 14, 2025
I bought this because it's said to be good for sensitive skin without causing eye irritation. It doesn't apply exactly like a cream, feeling slightly thicker, but considering it's a mineral sunscreen, it spreads more smoothly than other sunscreens. As someone with oily skin, I was worried about excess oil buildup in the afternoon after applying sunscreen, but perhaps due to its formula, it doesn't get too greasy. I didn't notice any blemishes appearing, so I think even those with oily skin can use it without issues. Although it was claimed to not cause eye irritation, I felt a slight stinging in my eyes by the afternoon after applying it in the morning. - hu*******Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 14, 2025
This is a repurchase for me. It doesn't seem to cause any blemishes, and there's no irritation. It might be a bit drying. It feels fine when I apply it, but later I notice some dead skin cells flaking off. It seems I need to apply a solid base of skincare products before using this. - tm************Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRednessRecommendedJun 13, 2025
Absorbs well without feeling sticky and rinses off easily Love that it's fragrance-free If you don't cleanse thoroughly, it can lead to blemishes... It's also a bit pricey This product seems to have a nice texture that doesn't leave a residue. The lack of fragrance is a plus for those with sensitive skin. However, it's important to remove it completely to avoid potential skin issues. The price point might be a consideration for some consumers. - dj********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJun 12, 2025
Absolutely nothing positive to say. Let's not buy this before we regret it... I'm so angry. I can't believe my skin reacted this badly in just one day. It's terrible. I broke out with a ton of acne along my jawline, my skin turned red, and it seems to clog my pores. It's the worst, truly the worst, I can't stress enough how awful it is. This review expresses extreme dissatisfaction with a skincare product. The user experienced severe blemishes, redness, and clogged pores, particularly along the jawline. They strongly advise against purchasing the product due to its negative effects on their skin within a short period of use. - su*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 11, 2025
Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it has no white cast and absorbs well. I used to be a sunscreen nomad because I hated how mineral sunscreens left a stark difference between my face and neck, but I've finally found my holy grail. There's a slight feeling of dryness, but it's on par with other mineral sunscreens. This mineral sunscreen seems to be a game-changer for those who struggle with the typical white cast issue. It offers good absorption and doesn't leave a noticeable difference between the face and neck, which is a common concern. While there's a hint of dryness, it's not worse than other mineral sunscreens on the market. This product could be a great option for those looking for effective sun protection without the usual drawbacks of mineral formulas.
