When it first came out, I was skeptical about a gua sha tool being soap. I thought I might be losing out since it disappears after use. But being a Typenum product, I figured the scent would be amazing! First off, the fragrance is incredibly intense! I'm using Typenum hand cream, and this is even stronger. The scent is powerful enough to permeate through the unopened box. It's identical to Typenum's signature Soul Water scent, reminiscent of nature. It's surprisingly firm! It doesn't melt away quickly after use as a gua sha tool. However, with continued use, you do notice it gradually disappearing. The shape is perfect for gua sha, making it easy to handle and use. It's firmer than you might expect. What I loved was the lather! Instead of a loose foam, it creates a dense, rich lather. The scent diffuses well, giving you an aromatherapy-like experience that feels truly healing. The packaging is sleek, and when you open it, there's this burst of fragrance that's delightful. I think it would make a great gift for others or a lovely treat for yourself! While I'm very satisfied with the product's scent, the form feels a bit ambiguous. Being soap, it can be slippery when massaging with water on your body, which was slightly inconvenient. The main drawback is that it disappears with each use... it's such a shame and feels wasteful. - sm*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityApr 19, 2023
I have many gua sha tools, but due to laziness, I rarely used them. However, this product is a soap, so I can use it while showering. Although not frequently, I found myself using it more often. Since I'm showering anyway, I thought I could use this instead of body wash. When I rubbed it on my trapezius muscles and arms, it was incredibly painful yet refreshing at the same time. I initially thought its shape would only work for the trapezius, but surprisingly, it fit well along the contours of my arms too. Using it with just water on my body prevented it from slipping, which was nice. In the beginning, I think they used to include a dedicated soap holder, but now they only sell the soap itself, making storage a bit inconvenient. I'll probably need to buy a separate soap dish, but the size is quite large, making it a bit awkward. Also, I bought it just based on its shape, but it has a scent reminiscent of a wet sauna, which isn't a fragrance I particularly enjoy. Being soap, it can be drying if used alone, so I had to follow up with body wash at the end of my shower routine. - hi******Combination SkinRecommendedApr 16, 2023
The soap is firm, which seems to provide a nice massage effect. I mainly used it on my neck and calves. Being soap, it gets slippery during use no matter how much you dry your hands before handling it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 18, 2023
This seems like a fantastic product for those new to gua sha! As someone with extreme laziness, I wanted to try gua sha but found it bothersome - no oils, too many tool options, just a hassle to buy everything. This product is perfect for people who felt the same way! I rarely have success with YouTuber recommendations, but this one's a real winner. It comes in two types, so I bought both thinking 'why not?' and surprisingly, they're both great! It's absolutely amazing for releasing tension in the neck. Plus, the scent is incredible! If you're a fan of 'Type Number' fragrances, I highly recommend this. It's extremely slippery at first, which made me wonder how to use it properly. There weren't many reviews to guide me, but I found it works perfectly when applied to slightly damp skin! The only downside is that it shrinks over time, which is a bit disappointing. Because of this design flaw, I'd suggest stocking up on a few.
